Hey there Patrons. I hope you're having a lovely December.

So it's the end of the second week of editing on Random Space Engineers Bullshittery (part 3) and thus far everything is going just fine.

I was able to build up the "master" project file for Space Engineers by the end of the first week, resulting in roughly 100 highlights from the various Moon base streams for this and later bullshitteries.

Then at the start of this second week I was able to select and trim a number of sequences for this video (roughly 30), moving onto the text and animation keyframing on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Meaning I have about 3 minutes of footage full edited out of 12 minutes. By next week I'm hoping to be around the 8th minute, leading to the completion of the project in 2 weeks time. Hopefully.

Editing wise, I'm afraid there's not much to report. Everything is progress as expected.

I'm finding myself a little frustrated by Space Engineers' visually busy UI system. Which (whilst informative) is proving annoying if your editing involves adding additional text. Since tooltips appearing and disappearing from the side of the screen can draw away the viewers eye-line. A crucially important consideration for what can be considered my "gimmick".

Additionally, ZF Digby at one point caught a cold and sounded very sickly on his mic. I've been having fun with some of the font effects. I ended up using an unhealthy looking green whenever he speaks, combined with a wobbling, fuzzy border to make it visually distinctive. That's been fun to highlight as we're ribbing him.

Beyond that, everything is progressing as normal, really. Just lots more gradual keyframing and animation to do next week as I go scene by scene. I'll let you know if there are any problems, but I'm hoping to have the video to you as soon as I can.

All the best to you and enjoy your weekend.
