Good morning dear Patrons!

I'm back and feeling refreshed after taking a short break last week. In which I played lots of Space Engineers with the ZF guys and generally didn't think about work at all. After such a grueling editing effort on Arma, I really needed that.

Now, time to get back on the horse.

While my first choice now would be to do the final chapter of the DayZ video essay, in which I break down the nature of Agile development, it is worth noting that I actually failed my objective with ARMA. My plan was to finish a standard 10 minute long video after the 27 minute Mount & Blade Bullshittery in order to show that two months is not the new standard.

Therefore I think it might be a smarter idea to do a couple of videos that are shorter. And I was thinking of Holdfast Nations at War. Possibly followed by a very time-boxed episode of PUBG Bullshittery. Maybe. I would first like to know your thoughts on the topic?

Either way, what I'm currently doing though is what's called "Nesting" for some of the footage I have on my hard drives. This is a necessary first step in which I go through the available footage and save what might be useful, discarding the rest. And how speedy this process is depends entirely on the game type and how well I've kept my notes. And I've started yesterday with Holdfast because I have a particular flavor of video in mind...

I was thinking of doing a short video called "Holdfast shows the grim reality of 18th century warfare". And then cut in only the bizzare silliness that was our recent Holdfast sessions. Where the French are charging screaming "VIVA LA CROISSANT", we're marching forward whilst someone is playing "You've got a friend in me". And a British infantry-man with a thick Boston accent is yelling "I'M WALKING 'ERE!!". It was all incredibly silly.

I can save the back-and-forth ZF banter for a true Holdfast bullshittery. But for the moment I was thinking of doing just this surreal video gag, which would probably only be 2 minutes long ish.

TL;DR - This week I'm going through footage to see what's there, starting with Holdfast Nations at War. A similar process needs to be done with Divinity, Rising Storm, etc. But Holdfast seems a sensible place to start due to the aforementioned gag idea.

Any thoughts?
