Hey there! Thank you so much for joining! As promised, here is the first full scene I made back when I got the idea for this game, aptly titled "Dorms Test." 

So a few notes: I was mainly practicing doing 3D renders and figuring out the very basics of Ren'Py. The writing was a bit of an afterthought, so don't go in expecting any great prose :)

The guys in the test are very early versions of Connor and Marco. You can see how much they did—and didn't!—change during development. The base of Connor's final model is actually very similar to this one, and of course he has the same outfit. Marco changed A LOT, but of course I had to keep his curly hair for the final version.

I also was initially thinking about doing a VN with full renders for each page, but when I started planning out the story and created the first flowcharts, it became pretty clear the best way to go was how the game is now—mostly sprites when they chat, and then key scenes fully rendered.

This little test is certainly rough, but I think it's fun to see the game's humble beginnings. Plus, y'know, it's still pretty hot...

Super cool. What are your ideas on the future story? Will there be some sort of conflict, tension, mystery, etc to resolve? Is it all realistic, or there'll be magic, or SciFi, or something else? All guys there so far look pretty wild, will the MC try to sleep with each of them (with consequences), or the game finds out who has the highest relationship points and lock the plot branch to that person?

Yeah, new Marco looks way better! How time consuming is this developing? How, when you found out the best way to approach the scene screation, are you sure you can do the whole thing on your own (with the patrons support of course)? Is writing going on while you're building the new scenes? Do you have enough time for that besides your main activities/job/study? Sorry, maybe I'm asking too many questions or too personal, I just see the beginning of a super promising project, but I want to hope it will survive and thrive, because many similar ones go to stagnation pretty quickly, unfortunately.

The story will remain in the realm of reality. There is a story arc specific to each character that will interweave with others, and you can either choose to chase down one thread or switch between several. There will come a point where you can commit romantically to one person (if you built up enough romantic points with them), but it won't completely lock you out of content with other guys. There will definitely be consequences based on your actions depending on the guy you're with. There's already choices in this first part that will have consequences based on future actions, in fact. And yes, pretty much every guy you meet you can hook up with :) Some only want hookups, but there are many who are open to relationships.

Absolutely fair to have concerns! I think some of this was answered in the first game update post I just did, but I can sum it up here too. I do have a full time day job that's four days a week. However, I've also been a professional writer for many years and am very much used to creating on a deadline; I've been tasked with writing full novels in just a few months for some jobs while simultaneously working at that day job. So I'm very well-practiced when it comes to effectively arranging my work schedule. I sort of write, render, and code simultaneously. After I write a decent chunk of the script, I turn it into code. At the same time I have renders running in the background. While actively writing/coding, what's rendering is usually the sprites; I make them as I decide on what expressions I need. Full scenes I get set up and then let render when I'm gonna be away from my desk for a while (like for work, sleeping, etc.). This project is definitely ambitious, but I think I've developed a good workflow and have enough prior experience completing big projects that I know how to focus in and get work done :) Thank you for your support!

It is a pretty decent proof of concept. ;) That being said, I am happy for the changes done to Marco and the background (the new room looks much more pleasing to the eye). I am kinda curious if the actual sex scenes will branch for some choices, too? Like, for example, depending on player preference about being top or bottom in a given scene?

Yes, that's the plan! A few of the guys are exclusively tops, bottoms, or sides as well, so depending on player preference, Connor will have to get creative with those guys. Obviously because of this, the further along I get the longer each section will take due to the art involved. But the branching for the first two days at least isn't too crazy :)
