Known by the various epithets of "Destiny Spider", "Fateweaver", "Arbiter of the Gods" and "The First Ascendant", Corrin is the first ascended mortal god and the only to have achieved divinity outside of the Trial of Ascension, which they ended up creating.

In mortality, the deity of fate, volition and causality was a human caught amidst a massive war known as the Reckoning. Gods, fiends, dragons and fey were all working to maintain influence over the Prime Material Plane, leaving a vast amount of destruction in its wake. Seeing the carnage before them, Corrin offered up a plea to the Prime Creator, First of the Gods, to choose between letting Corrin take their own life or give them the power to end this war. At first, the mortal only heard silence and chose to throw themself over a cliffside into the ocean.

But their prayer had been heard. Threads wrapped around the little mortal and wove their way into the human's very essence, forever changing them into a deity which halted the Reckoning by their sheer ascension. From then on, all great powers could only influence the Prime Material Plane through mortals and their choices, which they were free to make.

Corrin was welcomed warmly by most of the existing pantheon at the time, becoming fast friends with the sun god Munshin and the star goddess Metteyra, who were also enamored with the lives of mortals.

While worship of Corrin is not as heavily codified in organized religion as other gods, none deny their influence nor their immediate presence. "Corrinites" are often seen with symbols of icosahedrons and a carefree attitude that accepts the push and pull of fate while still moving to forge their own path.

Often excited to see the choices mortals make and the consequences brought about, the Fateweaver loves to take on mortal disguises to observe the world that they maintain.
