By now I'm sure you're all aware of the huge kerfluffle that's been going on here on Patreon where, in some weird misguided turn of events they're going to start charing Patrons the processing fees for each transaction. A move that actively punishes small level tiers in the $1-$5 dollar range.

There's been a lot of speculation, there's been a lot of "explainations" on patreons' official media, but for the most part they seem to be largely ignoring public backlash for this decision. I want to make it perfectly clear that I do not at all agree with this decision, or how they're handling it.

Isla Aukate is my one creative outlet that is mine to share with you and my co-creators who help drive it like Gen and Aramis. Keeping this project going is at times difficult and it would be much harder if not for kind awesome people like you helping to supplement my income by supporting it.

In the coming months, I want to start actively advertising for the comic and try to bring in more readers and supporters, my goal is to eventualy turn it into half of my yearly income,  in which case I can start actually spending more than a handful of days a month working on it.

As patreon takes it's payment structure in a new direction, this will  make it even harder for me to achieve these goals.

I have several plans to "fix" this issue among my patrons, but I'm going to wait until the 20th before I implement one of them, in hopes that Patreon changes it's mind. If nothing changes by the 20th of December, I will be re-structuring all of the tiers to reflect the new fees so that you, the customer, will still be paying the same amount. The only tier I can't do this on is the $1 tier and for that I apologize.

For those who do want to support me, but don't want to jump through Patreon's ridiculous hoops, I'm going to be looking into alternatives like Kickstarter's Drip once it becomes available. And for the moment there is also the "Buy me a Kofi" https://ko-fi.com/A323434A for lower amounts.

For those of you who have decided to stick around despite this disaster, thank you, from the bottom of my twisted little heart. I'm going to try and be better, and post more content as often as I can to make up for this for you.

Thank you all for understanding. More discussions on this can be found on my Patreon exclusive Discord which if you're a current pledger you should all  have links to, if not, message me and I'll fix that.
