mert this was such a wholesome review. then again, I've never known someone to not like Okami, mostly because of the wonderful, refreshing artstyle and the fact you get to play as a doggo... Though I think you're perfectly right that while it has a lot of the (annoying) trappings of some JRPGs, the mechanics and story make it so much more enjoyable
