Talking about the creepy guy in my chat brought back so many memories. I got raided once by another streamer and, as their chat filed in to say hello, the creepy guy came in (I was in an unzipped hoodie and vest top) and went "Yummy cleavage"

It was so gross, I should have banned him lmao

I hate it when people make streamers uncomfortable just enjoy the game. Totally agree about Valhalla, the only two assassin's Creed games I really enjoyed was assassin's Creed II, and assassin's Creed Black flag which is a pirate themed one which is absolutely fun I recommend that one if you want to try playing one again.

Thank you Santiago! That guy was WEIRD And thanks for the recommendations! I actually recently bought a copy of Black Flag for the PS3 so I'll have to hop into it soon :D

I paused to write this before the idea fled. Your description of the game could fit perfectly as a description of a meal from some international chain restaurant. Not spicy, not bland, not in any way memorable beyond not making you puke. Perfectly adequate and aimed right down the middle to appeal to the broadest possible demographic of potential customers. I would call this the McDonald's of IPs but I think McDonald's actually has to compete for their money now, rather than Ubisoft pinching these off every so often when their projections tell them the people who slogged through the last one have now amassed enough cash to afford the next one. The first AC was really just a glorified tech demo. It didn't hit it's stride until Ezio Auditore showed up and arguably hit its creative peak with him. All the games since then remind me of an AI art bot moving one standard deviation away from an original image with each iteration (although I liked the London one quite a bit just for atmosphere).

Thank you Nate! I completely agree; this game is to RPGs what Taco Bell is to Mexican food: fine. Okay. Serves a purpose. Packaged like one. But, as you said, aimed right down the middle
