My sister first heard of May Calamawy through a Hulu show called Ramy. I haven’t seen it yet, but my sister said she got to do a lot more in Moon Knight by comparison. Director Mohamed Diab fought for her character Layla to be Egyptian. While the story takes place in Egypt, the desert scenes were actually filmed in Jordan where Oscar previously worked on Star Wars and Dune. They weren’t able to film in actual Egypt due to political climate, but Mohamed improvised by having downtown Cairo replicated in Budapest where they previously filmed Black Widow. The set they built was about four to five blocks wide. And finally, Anton Mogart/Midnight Man was portrayed by French actor Gaspard Ulliel. Unfortunately, he passed away back in January 2022 when he had an accident at a skiing resort in France. Moon Knight was one of his final projects released posthumously. The third episode is dedicated to him.

Side note: Echo the character introduced in Hawkeye finally got a trailer for her show a few hours ago and damn, TV mature something I wish we got to see with Moon Knight, great to see Marvel going more mature. Would love to see your reaction to Echo after your Hawkeye reaction, but also would be cool if you went in 100% blind, no pun intended. Pretty sure my first introduction to Moon Knight was Marvel Ultimate Alliance (2006) amassive crossover game that allowed you to play as a range of Marvel characters from Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men, Spider-Man, Ghost Rider, Moon knight etc. He also showed up in Spider-Man: Web of Shadows (2008) where bro just randomly showed up in a Moon Jet like he was Batman lol So it's great seeing him brought into live action beyond the video games like Ultimate Alliance or the animated shows like Ultimate Spider-Man, He's got a very limited series of animated appearances in pretty forgettable cartoons.
