Great choice! I loved this movie. I thought it was extremely clever with a fantastic ending. Great all-star cast too. I love a good “whodunit” detective story.

Vince figured out one of the twists WAY early than expected (that a family member tried to switch the vials). In the first flashback, Harlan accidentally knocks over both vials of medicine. And we’re supposed to think that Marta accidentally mixed them up when she picked them up off the floor. There’s nothing to suggest that a family member did anything at that point. It was all supposed to be one big accident. Vince too smart lol.

Not really true harlen did kinda say she was being set up in that scene. Because the antidote wasn’t with her he went and told her something similar to you’re being set up I don’t remember exactly what he said

Just watched it and he doesn’t say anything about a setup. He seems to genuinely believe that she made an honest mistake. Also think he partly blames himself since he knocked the vials off the table. The audience is supposed to think it’s one big accident at that point.

@Simon - actually YES, he does mention something about “if a person were to switch them on purpose” and he writes it down as an idea for a new book. I think that was clever foreshadowing by the Director. But Harlan doesn’t suggest that to Marta as to what might have happened. He just says it would be a clever idea for a book.
