The Joker sequel just finished filming a few months ago. Lady Gaga is playing Harley Quinn (Joker’s longtime girlfriend and partner in crime in the comics). Should be interesting! You guys should watch The Suicide Squad and Birds of Prey to see Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. She is phenomenal in that role.

Hey you 2 love the reaction. I love this film myself,so I checked comments first to see what was addressed. First thing this movie isn't related to the dcu. This is a stand alone film,even the director said so prior to release. This film was based on the book/graphic novel the killing joke. I also heard that Mr ledger used it as inspiration for his portrayal of the joker in dark knight. The director said this isn't a comic book style movie. This movie is a honest brutal realistic portrayal of mental illness and how society can treat them. It also shows how important social services to those who truly need them are.

Also another thing I heard is that this was one of the few times the music was composed before the movie was done. Usually the show the completed movie to the composer to make the music. I heard that the music was made after reading the scripted before it was filmed or finished not to sure which. You 2 said it yourselves disturbing slightly traumatized uncomfortable which everyone who has seen this movie has said about it. Which is the point,you are watching a human beings desent into true madness.

This was filmed in my Borough of the Bronx NY .. both train scene, where he killed all 3 men and when he caused the riot when the detectives were chasing him .. and that outside stair case became a major tourist attraction when the movie dropped

No joker and Batman aren’t related in comics , this movie got its own story but it’s so good lol. All the tragedy joker has to face before he’s joker is cannon to all jokers but the relationship thing isn’t

Joker never has a defined origin. Always a mystery in the comics/movies, as well as his identity. He's been Joe Chill, Arthur Fleck, Jack Napier...the list goes on. But in every universe he's always the Clown Prince of crime. I love this origin, its relatable and quite disturbing. Part 2 coming soon.

If I were u guys I would just label it "DC" and not "DCU"...bc James Gunn is starting his new DC universe called the DCU next year, and the movies in that category on your page are not in that universe obviously...Joker is in its own Elseworld universe and the Snyderverse movies are in the DCEU...it might be confusing if the terminology is new to you but mostly everyone eventually gets it

I've got Pseudobulbar Affect because of a needle phobia from childhood trauma. It thankfully only happens during intravenous blood tests. I go into shock, have flashbacks, hyperventilate and then can briefly giggle at random, when it's over I cry. The giggling can confuse nurses though because it's the complete opposite emotion to the shock, hyperventilating and crying that comes after. Compared to the movie mine is mild, which says alot about how much the character must have been through as a kid.
