One of my favorite episodes of sienfeld was when this movie came out, Jerry’s parents went to see it and were really moved so they told Jerry to go see it so he went with a girl he liked and made out with her during the movie and his uncle Leo saw him and told Jerry’s parents that he was making out during Schindler’s list and they were appalled that he did that and didn’t pay attention. It’s hilarious.

You guys should check out The Pianist as well, another holocaust movie taking place in Poland. Very moving, and based on a true story.

The cousin of my wife's grandfather was Michael Wulkan the jeweler that made the ring. Also since the movie came out there are now over 10,000 descendants of the Schindler Jews. Schindler was invited to all of his Jews weddings bar mitzvahs etc and he was supported in times of need by his Jews Schindler Jews paid for his body to be moved and buried in Jerusalem.

Steven Spielberg actually had heard the story and wanted to make the movie but didn't think he was ready. It was years until he finally had the time and clout to make a black and white film about such heavy subject matter with no restrictions.

I seen a couple of interviews of Oskar Schindler. One of the interviews had some of the Jewish people that he saved. They all stood up one by one and said that they were one of his Jews. If I find it again I'll link both of those interviews
