Chapter 7 

Chapter 8 Spicy Bet

The first event was decided at random, for the first event it was Hidden. “What kind of game is that?” Gray pondered.

“The rules will be explained, once each team has chosen a participant.”

Jager decided to participate for Quatro Cerberus; Beth Vanderwood for Mermaid Heel; Eve for Blue Pegasus, and Rufus Lore for Sabertooth. The remaining teams that needed to send out were Lamia Scale and the two Fairy Tail teams.

All they had to go off of was the game’s name, Hidden. As much as Natsu wanted to get in there and kick things off with a bang, probably not the best idea. Gray decided to go in, which caused a domino effect, Lyon went in and Juvia went in.

Nullpudding protested Fairy Tail B’s involvement, but he was just causing trouble. The game Hidden was a bit more complicated as the wizards were dropped in a construct of a city, and multiple copies of each of them filled the area. Very much indeed they were hidden among the constructs.

If you attacked a copy you’d lose a point and be teleported somewhere else, if you got hit the attacker would gain a point and you would lose a point, after 5 hits the target will be warped somewhere else.

Juvia proves the first rule as she hugs one of the Gray clones and gets punished for it. Gajeel’s jaw dropped, Laxus twitched in annoyance, while Mira and Jellal/Mystogan sweatdropped.

Nullpudding confronts Gray, secretly hiding behind one of his clones, when the ice wizard attacked it, he was penalized and warped somewhere else. This revealed another rule, the wizard could touch and move their clones safely without an issue.

Fullbuster was jumped by Nullpudding again, this time the creep landing a hit. He scored a point on Gray, dropping Fairy Tail A further down the score board. ‘Damn it, me again!’

Before the Raven Tail member could attack again, they both were attacked by Beth. She unleashed a barrage of carrots. “Tch, troublesome wench!” Nullpudding fell back, already plotting his next attack.

Fullbuster was able to dodge and block Beth’s attacks, with her focus on him it allowed Jager to get an attack on her, but the two were taken out by a barrage of ice falcons. “Not wild!” Jager cried out as he was warped away.

“Aww schucks!” Beth cried out as she was warped away.

“Lyon!” The ice wizard jumped down and confronted his rival and old friend.

“I intend to win this Gray!”

“You can try because I don’t plan to lose!” The two strike their poses, but suddenly Juvia sprang in.

“Water Whip!” In a flash she struck Lyon five times causing him to be warped away.

“Oh Juvia…” Lyon moaned, getting turned on by the strikes.

“Uh thanks Juvia.” The nice moment didn’t last as Juvia attacked him. “Hey!” He just barely managed to dodge.

“Sorry beloved, but Juvia intends to win for her team. We shall win the master’s prize!”

“Prize what prize?” Juvia lost focus.

“The team that wins the game gets to command the losing team for a whole day.” Fullbuster’s jaw dropped.

“I didn’t hear anything about this...Master!” Gray turned to shout. The lacrima focused on Makarov for a moment. He stroked his mustache.

“It’s true, I figured it’d give both teams some extra incentive.”  This meant if Team A won they could command the members of Team B for a full day.

Natsu had a wicked grin on his face as he imagined what he would have Laxus and Gajeel do when they won. His flames soared. “Gray, don’t you dare lose! Kick their asses and bring us victory!”

“Yeah, yeah, I hear ya!” Having his mate demand victory, lit a fire inside him. He wanted to win, if anything to keep Juvia’s command from happening.

“You fairies are truly pathetic!” Suddenly Nullpudding appeared and attacked both Gray and Juvia.

Raven Tail again!

The fight was on, and things took a turn as Eve made it snow, dropping the temperature in the fake city. The clones neither felt cold or pain, so the drop in temperature would help him find the real wizards, shivering, the visible breath, and with his snow...he can attack!

He manages to get hits on Mermaid Heel, Quatro Cerberus, Fairy Tail Team B, and Raven Tail. “Tch another interruption.”

His snow had no effect on Lyon and Gray. The latter actually stripped down, becoming bare ass naked. His nudity caused the crowd to have a mixed reaction and a lot of blushes. ‘I’ll have to thank Eve for this later!’

For wizards to battle the cold temperature their magic power will flare to keep their bodies warm. It’s why travel in cold areas can be dangerous for wizards as it has them burn through their magic power quicker. Fullbuster had been training his magic senses, focusing his mind he was able to sense everyone’s location. “Ice Make Knuckle!”

He channeled his magic into the ground, surprising Eve, Jager, and Beth. “You’re wide open Fairy Tail!” Nullpudding attacked Gray, only to punch ice. “What?!”

Gray was able to attack and replace himself with a double. He got payback and hit Nullpudding with an ice fist!

Using his Needle Magic he fought back landing a hit on Gray.

Lyon matched Gray’s tactics, conjuring beasts of ice to spread and attack his opponents.

Something was wrong, all the mages seemed to have engaged in combat except Rufus, Sabertooth’s representative. “I have memorized it, this game is too simple for me.” His magic flared. “Memory Make: A Night of Falling Stars!”

Stars rained down from the sky, striking nearly every participant multiple times. In just a few seconds Sabertooth shot to the top of the leader board. Nullpudding had enough of this, he just barely dodged Rufus’s attack, keep getting in my way, I’ll crush you!” He attacks Rufus, only for the wizard to fade.

A memory clone! The real one attacked, causing Nullpudding to get warped.

Gray wanted to get some points, he streaked naked through the streets as the count down of the game neared it’s end. He spotted Rufus and planned to attack him only for Nullpudding to attack him again. “Needle Spray!” Purple needles grew from his arms only to be unleashed.

“Ice Make Wall!” The needles hit the wall and Nullpudding smirked.

They pierced through the wall and struck Gray, hitting him hard five times. “You really should have learned, my needle magic is perfect for dealing with elemental wizards.” He had been able to strike Juvia’s elemental body, and his needles pierced through Gray’s ice magic.

In the last seconds, Nullpudding ruined Gray’s chances to score any points. A gong rang out signaling the end of the game.

The scores weren’t good, taking first place was Saberooth, in second place was Lamia Scale, Lyon’s efforts helped gain points. In third place was Raven Tail, which was terrifying as he hadn’t really gone after any other wizards except the Fairy Tail ones. Mermaid Heel squeaked into fourth followed by Quatro Cerberus, then Fairy Tail B. In the final minutes Juvia scored plenty of points against Lyon who was too love struck to attack her. In last place was Fairy Tail A…

Despite Gray’s best efforts Nullpudding ruined many attempts to get points, his focus seemed less on the game or winning and more so screwing over the Fairy Tail teams. The audience ridicules the guild for it’s poor performance, boiling the blood of the Tenrou wizards, and depressing those that have heard all this before.

Natsu was pissed, the jeers were one thing but…

“That ice wizard was pathetic!”

“He’s not much of a wizard he’s just a pervert!”

“They should kick out that perverted loser!”

Gray took a walk of shame, hearing people mock him, and he was already feeling low at his performance. His clothes had been ruined, it seemed sometime in the course of the game Nullpudding found them and tore them up, once the game was over Gray found his clothes slashed and unwearable. His hands moved to cover himself as he walked back towards the team waiting area.

Natsu was about to wreck the place, damn the games, damn the kingdom’s army, damn anyone who got in his warpath. He had to be held back by Elfman and calmed down by Erza.

“You should check on Gray.” Elfman whispered into his ear, which helped sober him up.

“Fine!” Elfman let him go and Dragneel walked off.

Disappointment and anger were eating him up inside. “Hey.” He looked up and saw Natsu.

“I’m sorry!” Gray punched the wall. “I screwed up I could have done better, I should have done better, I should…” Natsu stopped him and pulled him into a warm embrace.

“Enough,” He cupped the back of Gray’s head, running his fingers through his soft locks. “It’s okay, it’s just the first round, we’ll get them back!”

Fullbuster closed his eyes, letting Natsu’s warmth and musk calm him. The two swore revenge on both Raven Tail and Sabertooth for this humiliation, promising them to pay them back in full.

To get Gray’s mind off his loss, Natsu told him his plan for Team B when they win. Fullbuster shivered and got hard at the delicious ideas whispered to him.

Once the check up was finished, Chapati announced the next event the competition part of the day was about to begin. Lucy was up facing off against Flare from Raven Tail…

The battle with Raven Tail goes hard, Lucy finding issue as Flare takes a hostage. Natsu helps that situation but before Luccy could teach her a lesson her magic is dispersed. Raven Tail interferes and many of the skilled mages take notice. Though they can’t prove Raven Tail did it the results of the match are up in the air.
