Update (Health/Projects/Where we at/State of One Shots) (Patreon)

I wanna first start off by thanking my patrons last month, thanks to their generosity I was able to take part in efforts to improve both my mental and physical health. I'm back on my stronger medications for pain, its been awhile so it was knocking my system for a loop but I'll be finding a balance as to keep the pain from kicking my butt.

I was able to reach out to people to work on my mental health, and while there is no instant fix for that, I have things to try and hopefully make it so there are more good days then bad. Family is still a coin toss week to week, but its family so what can I do. 

Things have been better in august, so far, I've been able to work on the backlog, patreon requests, tier 6's, and tier 1's and have gotten quite a bit done, while working on irl things that have needed to be done.

As for rewards they will open tomorrow (the 17th) I'll be posting the usual opening posts for patrons to comment and leave their requests. I've spoken to some other writers and have been working writing tactics so that we won't have backlog issues going forward. Tests of these tactics have gone well, but we'll see this month! 

I've also been contemplating my position on one shots. I find I enjoy exploring scenes and ideas more, even the simple one off ideas in the current phase of my life I feel there could be more, maybe not enough for grand long running ideas but more than just a single chapter. 

In the past even as I finished some one shots I always had in the back of my mind plans for a sequel. It's something I've always felt could or should be done, and there was even a phase in my writing history where I did one shot (pilots) and if they did well a series would be born from that. (the should comes from a lot of movies and books introducing something or doing something in a sequel that doesn't quite gel with the initial work) I don't wish to do away with one shots as a whole as going over some ideas some do tend to fit just a nice little one shot. I just can't deny one shots weirdly take more energy out of me, I've asked other writers about it and have gotten different answers. So as things go forward we'll be going on a case by case basis, until I can figure out a more consistent plan.
