Pocket Monster parody: Tier 1

Chapter 1

Chapter 2 Journey Begins

Ash getting a Pokemon didn’t boost his standing at school, only further fanned the flames of jealousy. While the students got to learn from caring for loaner monsters, someone owning their own was different. Plus Larvitar was only really close to Ash, often Screeching if someone tried to mess with him or his trainer. Despite the intrigue a rare Pokemon in this land brings, some of the students just called Larvitar a big baby. Ash didn’t let it get to him, knowing Larvitar was just doing it to protect them. If everyone hadn’t been such jerks they’d have gotten to know how sweet and amazing Larvitar was.

In a bit of double standard, Gary got his own special Pokemon, an Eevee, but the other kids just marveled at it. Ash simply rolled his eyes. ‘And just like that, Gary is just swimming with popularity.’ He sighed and hugged Larvitar. “If you ask me you’re even cuter!” He whispered, making Larvitar laugh.

Gary started to notice Ash a bit more, while he could be a ditz and struggled with test questions, in practical exams Ash was truly shining. He also got a glimpse of a power lurking inside Ash. Some jerks at school, that not even Gary liked because of their level of being a dick was too much for Gary Oak, decided to ambush Larvitar.

Ash found them and got pissed. The boys held Ash down, mocking both him and his Pokemon. Just as Gary was about to step in and put a stop to this, Ash’s body glowed blue, his eyes gleaming with a power rising to the surface, with an angry yell his aura burst forth knocking the punks off him and Ash was able to punch the jerk holding his Larvitar. The little guy was freed and happy to be safe.

Gary couldn’t believe what he saw, and started to think there was something more to him. Ash didn’t what he did at first, but after talking to his father about it he learned that this power was aura. While a bit different than the dragon force that allowed one to draw on the strength of the dragons and communicate with them, aura flowed through all life forms.

Ash immediately wanted to learn to harness this power not for combat but to bond more with pokemon.

With a monster of his own Ash started taking the beginner trainer courses and to Gary’s surprise he also took a class for coordinators. People were so focused that Ash’s dad was the active champion no one really gave credit to his mom for being an accomplished coordinator.

Ash’s goal was to be a Pokemon Master, which meant mastering different aspects of this world. He’d have to catch and train all kinds of different Pokemon and not only be a good trainer, he’d have to work hard and learn the different styles of battling. He’d learn all he could mixing and matching these elements and using them to build up his own style.

Monsters could learn techniques as they grew stronger, from birth called egg moves, from machines that produced a powder that awakened the power withing certain monsters, and even from experienced tutors. Coordinators however had ways of combining moves to create new moves, and took moves and found deeper powers within them. These moves weren’t well known as many trainers looked down on coordinators and seeing contests as being pathetic compared to competitive battling.

In Contests one only needed to obtain five ribbons to enter the Grand Festival. So it was looked down on compared to the Gym challenge requiring at least eight gym badges to enter.

Ash’s teachers called him a natural performer, that he really shined on stage. He was bumped from the beginner’s class to the intermediate class in just two weeks. Larvitar had a bit of stage fright at first but grew to love the stage.

In class he learned to make Pokeblock, he struggled a bit at first, but his mom gave him cooking pointers. He kept at it and learned to blend some wonderful Pokeblock. It made for an excellent snack after training.

Contests helped him grow to be a better battler.

The two didn’t show off in other classes, Ash wanting to keep his cards close to his chest. The last elective he took was the Pokeathalon class. He had seen a few games on TV and Larvitar wanted to give it a shot. In Pokeathalon’s trainer and pokemon compete together in games to win medals, by winning five medals you could enter the Elite Circuit. The games were more then one’s physical condition, but it also tested the bond between partner and monster.

It was an elective as some students saw it like gym, and some didn’t want to get “all gross and sweaty”. It didn’t bother Ash any, as he was used to working hard with his mother’s chores. The boy was deceptively strong.

Gary also entered this class with his Eevee and the two were fierce competitors. The other students in class had rental Pokemon, but Ash and Gary had a bit of an edge getting to use their own.

Ash used these classes to test his aura skills, strengthening his bond with Larvitar in the process. Gary noticed this, which pushed him to find his own way of connecting and understanding monsters. Training side by side with their pokemon helped strengthen both boys.

Over the years Ash and Gary’s rivalry grew more intense. For different reasons. The young Oak started to have feelings for Ash, though he didn’t understand them at first. He thought he just wanted to beat Ash, seeing him as a worthy rival. So the two went at it hard during mock battle class.

Their mock battle record consisted of 50 Wins and 50 Losses, so a draw. Gary grew impressed with Ash’s battling skills, he was unconventional and managed to pull off insane maneuvers that caught him off guard. He did manage to beat Ash an equal amount of times, but the matches were always exciting.

They wanted to settle the score with their Pokeathalon Class. Sharing this class with Ash caused Gary to slowly realize he may have liked Ketchum more than a friend and rival, not that he admitted it out loud. Sometimes during practice runs, when Ash would pull ahead Gary would get distracted staring at his butt in the gym shorts they wore.

Ketchum was oblivious to this, which allowed Oak to steal glances at him while he did his stretches. Gary’s eyes focusing on the impressive bulge in those shorts. It stroked his curiosity which led him to taking a peek at Ash in the showers. What he saw would haunt his wet dreams for eternity. ‘Oh no he’s hot...he’s so big…’

Gary wasn’t a slouch in the cock department, being bigger than the average guy, but Ash was packing double digits soft. He had a rocking body lean and toned, a firm sexy ass, and a mouth watering cock. Gary learned a bit too late that he had feelings for Ash, and realizing he’s been a jerk to him realized he’d done fucked up.

Still too proud to admit he fucked up and simply apologizing and confessing to Ash. Gary decided they’d settle their rivalry then he’d confess. Not the brightest idea, a lot of things could go wrong, but Gary still had an ego problem and pride was the hardest sin to beat. He still treated Ash the same even after he realized his feelings, he just felt guilty after and kicked himself mentally for being an idiot.

The final match before graduation was a relay race, and the two were neck and neck. In the end it was a tie, they were given a medal which the two fought over. Larvitar split the medal, and they each took half. “We’ll settle this at the League!” Gary said.

“Count on it!”

With Graduation around the corner so many trainers were nervous and excited. Upon graduating you’d not only receive a trainer’s license, a badge, but a card allowing you to get a starter Pokemon from Professor Oak. The school’s badge was Blue with a golden P in the center of it, and it counted towards the Pokemon League.

Gary gave a speech at an assembly as he was the star student. After a pretty standard graduation speech. “I’m aiming for the top, nothing is gonna stop me from becoming the greatest trainer in the whole world!” He was met with applause and cheers, Gary had a whole fanclub, including a group of girls that served as his personal cheerleaders.

“Gary Gary he’s the best, better than all the rest!” He smirked and waved at his adoring fans.

Samuel Oak gave a speech, talking about the three Kanto Starters new trainers would get to choose from; Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. He gave a speech about following your own path and learning about the fantastic world of Pokemon; it had fans applauding and some nerds crying. He ended it off with a poem. “Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, choose one and your adventure will you start, different each one may be, but each is full of heart!” Gary face palmed, blushing in some embarrassment.

Oak cleared his throat. “How about an old classic? Travel across the land, search far and wide; each monster to understand, the power that’s inside. Together you will see, monster and trainer it is your destiny!” That had the crowd cheering.

For the last bit of the assembly the top student of the coordinator course was gonna do a solo performance. “This is gonna be good, some joke coordinator prancing about with their pokemon.” Some students laughed.

Then Ash came out on stage, he looked...amazing. He was dressed in a gray hat, a black and gray suit, with white gloves and belt combo. He was styling. “Larvitar, I choose you!” He called out, Larviatar jumped off his shoulder doing a stylish spin as he went. “Dig let’s go!”

“Larvi!” He spun like a little drill before slamming into the stage and digging underground.

“Now Sandstorm!” From underground came a cyclone of sand, rising higher and higher. When it dissipated you found Larvitar spinning in the center of it.

“Lar!” He looked so cool. He was able to ride the Sandstorm into the air.

“Stealth Rock let’s go!” Larvitar set up a Stealth Rock, when he landed the stones floated out of the ground to attack. His teacher helped tutor Larvitar to learn Stealth Rock, Ash worked with Larvitar to make it useful in a performance round. “Now spin and use Rock Throw!”

Larvitar conjured stones and flung them at the floating rocks, the stones collided creating a loud impact. The colliding rock burst making a dazzling display. They were in perfect sync the show was stunning. The two caught everyone’s attention, Larvitar was amazing, Ash was bold and confident in his moves. The combinations of Ground on Ground and Rock on Rock were a smash.

The two finished with a bow and were met with applause. Gary found himself captivated by the performance. His heart fluttered a bit. ‘Calm down...calm down...’ The stage was cleaned up with the help of a Psychic Pokemon and the assembly ended.

Graduation became a wild affair as Ash’s father came to see it. Lance drew a lot of attention, but the younger Ketchum was used to it. He was still happy to see his dad. They took a group photo with Ash holding his trainer’s license and Larvitar riding on his shoulder.

Ash received the Pokemon School graduation badge, but he still wanted to get eight Kanto Gym Badges.

“So which Kanto starter are you gonna choose son?” Lance asked.

“It’s so hard to choose since they are all so great, but I think I wanna get Charmander!” Ash declared.

“An excellent choice.” Lance patted his shoulder. “You and Larvitar have gotten so close.”

“We are best friends!” Larvitar nuzzled him.

They had a party, and Ash was so excited he could barely sleep. He almost slept in, but Larvitar was able to wake him up. They rushed to Oak’s lab and bumped into Gary. He wasn’t the only one bursting with excitement.

Ash got to choose first and picked Charmander. Gary chose Squirtle claiming it was the best one. “You better not disappoint me Ash, you’d better make it to the league. It’s be so embarrassing if the son of the champion didn’t make it that far.”

As a graduation gift Gary’s dad got him a car and a driver. He left with his cheer squad. Ash groaned. “Sometimes...I don’t like him…”

He called out Charmander who eyed his new trainer. “Hey buddy, welcome to the team.” He smiled brightly. “My goal is to become a Pokemon Master, it’s a big goal and I’m gonna work hard for it. It’s mean a lot if we can work together.”

Charmander was impressed with his ambition. Ash used his aura to connect with Charmander’s heart, the fire type loved to battle, he wanted to grow strong and evolve, becoming a mighty Charizard. In kind Charmander could feel Ash’s passion, his drive to be the best he could be. “Char Charmander!” He jumped into Ash’s arms.

“That works for me!” Ash smiled.

Larvitar and Charmander hit it off. He got the same deal as Larvitar being able to stay outside the ball, unless in either an emergency or if he needed to rest.

Trainers who graduated the Pokemon School were allowed to carry 9 pokemon instead of the usual 6. He received a Pokedex from Oak, and nine monster balls. “Good luck Ash, know that I’m rooting for you!” Samuel said.

“Thanks Professor!” He went home, and his Dad had already left. He did leave him a badge case which was pretty cool. Ash hugged his mom, showed off his new friend while getting his stuff together for his journey. He got a Pokeblock Case, a Mini Berry Blender, a sleeping bag, a tent, a spare change of clothes, two contest outfits, some pokemon food, travel snacks, toiletries and a few other bits and bobs. He kept his badge case, balls, dex, and his half of the medal on his person.

He could register for the Pokemon League at a Pokemon Center. So it was off to Route 1! With his monsters by his side Ash was ready for his journey to begin.
