Lord Sting

Due to a theft Marin doesn't have the Lady Bug Miraculous despite being chosen. Fu has no idea what happened, but even without powers Marin has been trying to help Chat Noir. Chat doesn't want Marin to keep getting put in danger so Master Fu has an idea, just one more Miraculous out in the world couldn't hurt right? Marin gets Pollen and becomes Lord Sting. Chat is a bit cold, but starts to warm up to Lord Sting.

Chapter 1 Origins

Master Fu was looking for two young warriors to harness the power of the Lady Bug Miraculous and the Black Cat Miraculous. The Butterfly Miraculous was activated and in the hands of a wicked heart. Fu was gonna handle it himself, but he was old and his body wasn’t as good as it once was. Still, he was pretty spry for someone in his 180’s.

His partner Wayzz was right, even as a guardian he wasn’t able to battle against this threat. His hero persona Jade Turtle, was effectively retired. “I’ve made my mistakes in the past but this time, I’ll set things right.” He opened the miracle box and removed two of the miraculous.

Marin was not looking forward to school this year. For the last 3 years he’s been stuck with Chloe in his class. Chloe has been making his life hell. At first Chloe liked Marin, and “like” was a loose term. She thought Marin was hot, and he is, but she was all over him. It really creeped him out.

Dupain-Cheng turned her down nicely. “You seem like a nice girl, but you just aren’t my type.” Chloe didn’t take it well.

“Not your type?! You must be either stupid or gay, which is it?” She snapped.

He was actually bi and liked both girls and guys, but Chloe was so clingy it was a giant turn off. Plus he wasn’t stupid, this girl was just awful. “Neither, and I was right. You are 100% not my type. Good day!” He left the blonde girl to seethe. ‘Dodged a bullet there.’ He thought.

Turns out he thought wrong, as Chloe was in his class again, and again, and AGAIN! The girl was spoiled rotten, she was mean, rude, and over all nasty. She rarely faced any consequences for her actions because her dad was the mayor. Without consequences it just emboldened her allowing her to be even nastier and cruel. She was the type Marin absolutely hated, a bully who plays the victim. She was so warped she believed she was the most popular girl in school, and she was far from it.

Marin just wanted to be a designer, he did designs for his parent’s bakery and they really sold. He had sketches for clothes, accessories, and so much more. It’s why he didn’t just wanna drop out of school, this particular school had a large assortment of programs dedicated to sports and the arts. Chloe just seemed to make his life just a little bit harder, sometimes a lot harder.

It was the first day of school and Marin had gotten up showered, did his hair; he had long hair but he tied it back in a pig tail braid his dad taught him. He had an average height, but he was quite toned from self defense training. His clothes were often hand made or altered. Today was a jacket he made, a black outside with a purple inside, the jacket was designed without a zipper and no sleeves, the collar had alternating black and purple elements to it. He wore a white and blue T-shirt under it. His pants were off the rack but were modified with some extra pockets with some give. His shoes were pretty basic but given a touch of Marin flare to them, but not too much, they were shoes after all.

He had breakfast before heading down stairs. His dad was already working in the bakery. “Hello sweetheart!”

“Hi papa!” The two hugged, Tom kissed him on the top of his head.

“You are gonna have a great day at school today, I can feel it!”

“I hope so.” He gave him some macarons.

“Give these to your friends it’ll brighten up the day, you’ll see.” Tom was very proud of his son, his designs had increased their business, he was very talented.

“Thanks Papa,” Marin kissed him on the cheek, and gave his mother a kiss on the cheek as he left the store.

“Have a good day!” They called after him.

On the way to school, he bumped into an old man and helped save him from the rough traffic. “Are you okay sir?”

“Oh yes, thank you young man.” Marin offered him a macaron, they were a bit shaken up but no real harm done. “These look wonderful.” He ate one, and Marin wished him a good day before heading to school. The old man walked off showing no signs of difficulty like he had before. Marin had something slipped into his bag.

Marin was right, Chloe was in his class and she was already causing trouble. She was trying to take over a seating arrangement so she could be close to a new student Adrien Agreste. “Do you know who he is?”

“Yeah son of Gabriel Agreste the famous fashion designer.” Any aspiring designer worth their salt knew who he was. “As for Adrien Agreste he’s a young model, entered the circuit two years ago.”

“And he’s my childhood friend, we are so close!” She twisted her fingers. “We are like this!” Marin rolled his eyes.

“Good for you.” He said but thought. ‘Poor guy!’

“He used to be home schooled but I helped him register for this school. He should be here soon!”

“That’s nice but Chloe this is my seat, it always has been for this class.”

“Not this year, new year, new seating arrangements.” Marin looked at him annoyed.

“It’s true!” Sabrina added. Marin felt so bad for her, the girl followed Chloe around like a puppy. She deserved better.

“Chloe it’s too early for this!” He groaned.

“Why don’t you hand out your little snacks and take your seat, over there!” She pointed towards where another new student was sitting. “You can sit next to her!”

“What is your problem?” The girl with brown hair and glasses got up from her seat.

“You got something to say to me?”

“Yeah, you are a jerk. What’s your problem?” She said it again, because seriously what was her problem.

“Oh you got some spirit, but you don’t know how things work around here. No one talks back to me!”

“Maybe things need to change!” The girl looked ready to throw down, which did scare Chloe. She talked a big game but she wasn’t a fighter. Sabrina got in between them.

“Chloe is the most popular girl in school and the mayor’s daughter. Don’t you dare try anything!” The brunette didn’t seem to care, but Marin stepped in. Sabrina didn’t deserve to be hit over Chloe’s BS.

“It’s not worth it.” The girl shot Chloe a glare that made her flinch. She took her seat at the front and Marin started handing out the macarons, they were a big hit as always.

Nino came in and Marin walked down to give him one, but Chloe put her bag out, causing Marin to trip. The box went flying and landed hard, some spilling out on the floor. “Hahaha classic Lord Clumsy!”

“Not cool dudette!” Nino helped Marin up. “You okay bro?”

“Yeah.” The two fist bumped. ‘Least I have Nino in class this year!’

“He should apologize for tripping over my bag.” Chloe huffed.

“Ugh, he wouldn’t have tripped if you were more careful and didn’t put your bag in the walkway!”

“Shut it newbie!” The two glared at each other, sparks flying.

Marin was sad, his dad’s hard work was now just crumbs and crushed goodness. There were only two left. He gave Nino one and he gave the new girl the other. “Oh thank you!” She blushed.

“My name’s Marin, what’s yours?”

“Alya, nice to meet you.”

“Mad respect standing up to Chloe.” He smiled at her.

“What’s with that girl?”

“She’s spoiled, has a rotten attitude, is never held accountable for her actions, a mix of it all really.” He shook his head. He’s clashed with Chloe so many times, it’s like arguing with a brick wall.

“Why do you let her talk to you, or treat you like that?”

“She’s difficult, nothing anyone says gets through to her.”

“Well the only way evil wins is when good people do nothing!” Alya was a big fan of heroes.

“May I sit with you?” Marin asked.

‘Hell yes!’ Alya thought. “Such a gentleman, sure thing!” He sat down and Alya split the macaron, and the two shared it. Toasting to their new friendship.

Chloe saw it and rolled her eyes. ‘Such losers!’ She was still annoyed. ‘Marin is so high and mighty, I’ll teach those two you can’t mess with me!’ Her mood continued to grow sour as Adrien didn’t show up for class.

He bumped into a familiar old man and helped him out, the old man slipping something into his backpack without him seeing it. Natalie and his Bodyguard caught him and brought him home. Adrien didn’t want to be home schooled anymore, he wanted the chance to have a normal life with friends. He felt caged, with so many thoughts and feelings he wasn’t able to express.

In Study Hall Chloe decided to get even with Marin. He left his bag unattended to grab a book to read and Chloe ran up and found the mysterious package the old man had slipped into her bag. ‘This is perfect, this must be some crummy family heirloom Marin will be so freaked.’ She took the box, but Marin had no idea what happened.

Master Fu had sensed the use of the Butterfly Miraculous, but the energy was dark. So he decided to call upon the powers of the Lady Bug and Black Cat Miraculous, bringing out the next generation of Mr. Bug and Chat Noir.

-x-Stoneheart Attacks!-x-

Kim was messing with Ivan, making fun of his crush on a girl. Ivan got so upset, and got into deeper trouble which fueled his negative emotions. Hawkmoth used these negative emotions as fuel for his power.

The butterfly miraculous had the power to make heroes, using positive emotions he could have created heroes to do a lot of good in the world. Instead he wanted to lure out heroes, so he created super villains. He corrupted one of the butterflies turning it into an akuma. “Fly away my little akuma and evilize him!”

The akuma took over a note Kim had given him turning it into a totem of dark power. “Stoneheart I am Hawkmoth, I’m giving you the power to seek revenge on those that wronged you.” Ivan transformed becoming a hulking stone monster.

He began to run amok, seeking to smash Kim and anyone who got in his way. The police tried to stop him, but their gun shots just made him grow larger. Alya saw the rampage and gave chase. Marin had gone home for lunch unaware of what was going on.

Adrien was back in his room all alone. “I better call Chloe and let her know what happened.” He went in his bag and found the mysterious box. “What’s this?” He opened it and out came Plagg.

“Hello Adrien!” Plagg cheered. “It’s so great to see you!”

“How do you know my name?”

“Magic!” Adrien sweat dropped. “I’m a Kwami, the great Kwami of destruction!”

“So can you grant wishes?”

“Nope, I grant super powers!”

Chloe had gone home, and had almost forgotten about her stolen treasure. “Let’s see…” She opened the box and out came the kwami of creation Tikki.

“Greetings Marin, I am Tikki, I am here to be your kwami and guide.” He greeted only to freeze when He saw Chloe instead of her true partner. “Who are you?”

“That’s my line!” Tikki began to sweat. How did this happen?  Marin was supposed to become Mr. Bug and protect the city.

They didn’t have time for this as the akumatized person was rampaging. Chloe put on the earrings saying they were at least kinda cute. Tikki was able to use magic to know Chloe, and he had a bad feeling about this. “Chloe you are needed you must stop the villain and capture his akuma.”

“No way, I’m not doing that.”

“You must, your partner won’t be able to do it alone.” It was all over the news already.

While Chloe didn’t want to be a hero, she did want to be popular and beloved. So...she accepted the job, becoming Lady Bug…Lady Scarlet!

Adrien became Chat Noir. They both left to stop the villain but clashed. Chloe was bad at using her weapons, and only really cared about how beautiful she looked in her costume. Adrien was loving this, he felt powerful and free, plus he wanted to help.

Chat Noir was doing his best but his attacks just made the monster grow. With the appearance of heroes Hawkmoth ordered Stoneheart to steal their miraculous. Stoneheart was strong and durable, and he wasn’t getting any help from Lady Scarlet.

He was about to get back up from an unlikely source.

Marin had seen Alya riding his bike towards the monster on the news, so he raced off to stop her and keep her from getting hurt. Alya was in hero fangirl heaven as she recorded the whole fight on her phone.

This got Chloe’s attention and she planned to show off for the cameras. She tried to tie the monster up but ended up tying up Chat Noir instead. “You crummy sidekick you got in my way!”

“Me, you haven’t helped at all some partner you are!”

“Smash!” Stoneheart grabbed a goal and flung it. Chat Noir got them out of the way but the goal was hurtling towards Alya.

She nearly got squashed but Marin swooped in and saved Alya. “You saved me!”

“Yeah but why are you here?!” Marin was out of breath.

“Look Marin heroes, real heroes!” Marin facepalmed.

‘My new friend is totally crazy!’ It was cool, the two new heroes on the scene. The guy with the cat suit on was kinda hot, the way the suit fit his body so well, hugging him perfectly.

“Hey Cat Guy, listen he doesn’t open his fist.” Marin noticed that he was swinging his fist around and only grabbing things with one hand.

“It’s Chat Noir actually.” He winked at Marin. “Good note, thank you!” Marin blushed.

Chloe didn’t like this at all. “You don’t need that loser, with my powers of creation we got this in the bag.”

“My power destroys things.” He destroyed the goal with a single touch.

‘Yikes!’ Lady Scarlet rolled her eyes. ‘How barbaric!’ She used her lucky charm. The spell turned into a wetsuit. “Haha very funny Tikki!”

“What’s that for?”

“I don’t know you figure it out!” She pushed it into him, much to Chat Noir’s annoyance.

Marin saw it and began to piece things together. “Chat Noir I have an idea!”

‘Haa you wanna listen to useless Lord Clumsy, you’ll be begging me to help in no time.’ She crossed her arms and huffed.

Marin had Chat Noir fighting against Stoneheart to distract him, while Alya got the tap. Chat Noir got grabbed in one hand and Marin got caught in the other with the wet suit connected to a hose. The suit inflated forcing his hand open.

He ripped up the black paper and out came the akuma. Ivan reverted back to normal. Alya was gushing over Chat Noir.

“The plan worked!” Chat Noir slid up to Marin. “Maybe you should think about becoming a hero.” Marin blushed.

“That was so cool!”

“Excuse me!” Lady Scarlet snapped. “It was thanks to my Lucky Charm you were able to enact your little plan.” She smirked. “Hey reporter girl, check this out!”

She tossed the wet suit into the air. “Miraculous Lady Bugs!” It burst, and magical lady bugs zipped around repairing any and all damage from the attack. However...the akuma flew away unpurified. Alya was amazed, recording the whole thing.

“Incredible you can fix everything?! What do we call you Lady Bug?!”

She pushed Chat Noir out of the way, making the boy very annoyed. “Not that, you see I am the proud heroin of Paris, noble and respectable, a proud and powerful lady. My name is Lady Scarlet.” She was acting like she had done all the work when she hadn’t done anything.

Marin picked up the note and went over to Kim. “This is what got you so angry?”

“Yeah, Kim is such a jerk, I told him I liked this girl and he kept making fun of me.”

“Listen Ivan, having feelings for someone isn’t a bad thing. Don’t let Kim get to you, he’s very childish and doesn’t deal with his own feelings well.” He put a hand on his shoulder. “But listen, you should tell this girl how you feel. She might feel the same way.”

“What if she doesn’t?”

“Then you two should try to become friends, and you can work on yourself while you wait for someone new to find that special place in your heart.”

“Thanks Marin!” The two hugged.

Chat Noir was impressed.

News of this incident was circulating. Alya sent in her footage. “Magic and Monsters and Mayhem, Oh My! People of Paris we had a shocking turn of events today as a villain known as Stoneheart appeared and went on a rampage. We were saved by a super hero Lady Scarlet!”

Master Fu spat out his tea. “What the hell?!”

“Master what happened? That isn’t Mr. Bug?!”

“I don’t know!” He cried. The girl was showing off for the camera.

“We are reporting on what happened thanks to the amateur footage of local student Alya Cesaire.” Alya was hugging Marin. “From her testimony we have two heroes who battled this monster, but thanks to the magic of Lady Scarlet everything was repaired.”

“We don’t know where this villain came from, but it seems he was a young man turned monster. What caused this transformation and will it happen again?” Hawkmoth smirked.

Adrien grabbed a shower as Plagg watched the news. “That isn’t Mr. Bug where’s my sugar cube!” Adrien came out in nothing but a towel.

“Any mention of Chat Noir?”

“Sorry kid, no luck, but hey you did a nice job for your first day.”

“Thanks Plagg.” He gave the kwami cheese to recharge. “I don’t know about that partner of mine, but that guy with the pig tail was pretty great, cute too.”

Plagg eyed him. Adrien blushed. “Not that I like guys or anything…” he chuckled nervously.

“It’s fine if you do ya know.”

“Huh?”

“I’ll never understand why you humans get so wound up on little things like that.”

Tikki was annoyed. Chloe hogged all the credit and wasn’t working well with Chat Noir at all. Tikki was adamant on what she needed to recharge. She wanted sweets but she wanted the sweets made from the Dupain-Cheng Bakery.  “What’s with that name anyway.”

“Oh please, it’s much more dignified than Lady Bug. I’m no bug!” Tikki facepalmed.

“Well you did capture the akuma right?” There was a pause. “Right?!”

The akuma began to multiply turning random people into copies of Stoneheart. This wasn’t over…
