Chapter 22

Chapter 23 Route to Bill

Ash was up early slipping out of Toren, he was able to shower and dress, before calling Professor Oak. Mist happened to overhear. “So you’ll be heading to Bill’s place then?”

“Yes, once my friends are up and about, I’ll be heading up there!”

“I have some directions for you, it might be a long way for you, but if you follow these directions you’ll make it to the next gym.” The directions were faxed over and Ash collected them.

“Perfect thanks Professor!”

He checked in on how his rivals were doing. “Gary has Two badges and is already on his way to getting a third, he’s caught 45 Pokemon already.” That stung. “Cross also has two badges, but he seems quite picky about which Pokemon he catches.”

The call ended but Ash was eager to get his Pokemon Ekans and Sandshrew on his team to start bonding and training.

Ash returned to his room and his companions had woken up. Toren was a bit...exhausted after the night before. “I can’t feel my legs…” Nothing a bit of healing aura couldn’t fix.

Brock helped him in the shower and they were washed but when they came back to the room Ash had a surprise for Brock. Going through the training toy set, Ash found a bullet egg vibe inside. “For your training we are going to use this, but instead of jerking off yourself I want you to come to me, Toren, or have one of your Pokemon help you get off.” Brock gulped.

‘That sounds kinda hot.’ He agreed and Ash pushed the bullet egg into Brock’s ass, before strapping the remote to his leg. The vibration was set to low, before it got turned on. “Ohhhh~!”

His manhood stirred and he got dressed quickly forcing his arousal down into his underwear and hiding his bulge with some pants. Having the toy inside him wasn’t easy, the vibrations felt amazing, the pleasure made his hole relax, but he had to keep himself tight to hold the toy inside. It was quite different, as he struggled to relax to get the dildo inside him. These mind sets went hand in hand as it was controlling his hole.

An added bonus with his concentration on keeping the toy from slipping out, allowed him to avoid swooning over Nurse Joy as they left. Since this was a longer journey then normal, Ash had his mons rest in their balls, he’d bring them out once they got closer, or if they had a battle. Pikachu was riding on his shoulder.

Mist was following them but keeping their distance.

Just as they were about to head up to Route 24. “Oi Trash!” Ash flinched. “Still hanging with these losers?”

“Cross!” He blocked their way. “My friends are not losers!”

“Pika!”

“You still haven’t evolved your starter yet?” Cross shook his head. “How pathetic!”

“Pikachu will evolve when he wants to, besides Pikachu’s evolution is stone base, it’s not a good idea to evolve stone evolution Pokemon too soon.”

Cross blinked. “Wait...it’s not…”

“Hm?”

“Ha, shows what you know, once a Pokemon evolves they have greater power, bigger is better they say!” He laughed confidently. “Have you even bothered to evolve any of your little weaklings?”

“Sure I have!” Ash got excited as he got to brag about his Pokemon he loved so much. His mons could hear him gushing as his aura overflowed with glee. “Poliwag has evolved into Poliwhirl!”

“Still a wimp until it evolves into a Poliwrath.” Cross muttered under his breath.

“My Pidgey and my Spearow have evolved.”

“Featherweights compared to my birds!” He muttered again.

“I have a wonderful Butterfree and a tough Beedrill!”

“Heh!” He smirked. “Guess that means you haven’t caught a Scyther yet huh?”

“Well no…” Ash twiddled his fingers.

“Scyther?” Toren wondered, not sure the significance of the pokemon in this moment.

“Trash here used to brag about getting a Scyther one day.”

“It wasn’t bragging it was an assignment for class, a list of Pokemon you wanted to catch in the future.” Scyther was at the top of both his and Cross’s list. Ash had spent a long time on his assignment because there was just so many he wanted to catch he couldn’t pick just 10. “Have you caught a Scyther yet?”

“Hehe!” He was looking super cocky. “Nope!” The boys anime fell. “I spent a ton of time looking for one in the Viridian Forest but couldn’t find one but no matter what I know once I get a Scyther it’ll be way stronger than yours ever could.”

“What makes you so sure?” Brock asked. His anger towards Cross overriding the pleasure he was feeling.

“Because I have my secret weapon!” He revealed a strange piece of stone.

“A rock?” Toren said, adjusting his glasses.

Cross got annoyed. “It’s not just a rock it’s a…”

“Black Augurite!” Ash said, recognizing it from his dreams of the ancient times.

“Heh, guess you aren’t so dumb huh Trash. This little baby has been passed down in my family for generations. I’ll finally get to use it and awaken the ancient power of a Scyther, whatever that means.”

‘He doesn’t even know what it does…’ Ash sighed. He didn’t know if Cross’s parents also didn’t know what it did either, or if they did and told Cross and he just wasn’t listening. It was an ancient evolution tool, one capable of evolving Scyther into another form.

“How many Pokemon have you caught?” Cross asked.

“Nine!” Ash said confidently.

Cross laughed. “You have 9 Pokemon and only evolved five?” He crossed his arms with a smirk. “All my Pokemon are fully evolved so far besides two, one requires a special item, but the other is a disappointment.”

Ash glared at Cross. “What Pokemon do you have?” Toren asked.

He didn’t care what Toren had to say, but he wouldn’t miss a chance to brag. “I have a mighty Raticate, a fearsome Fearow, a swift Dodrio, a powerful Nidoking, a beastly Onix who once I get my hands on a Metal Coat I’ll have my ultimate Steelix, and this weakling.” Cross raised his monster ball. “I was hoping to do some training against wild pokemon, but that doesn’t seem to be enough. So I thought kicking your weak ass might give him the push he needs. Some come on Trash, let’s battle!”

“Enough!” Toren stepped up. “I’ll battle you!” He’s been insulting Ash the whole time, Toren had enough.

“Oh you wanna go nerd?”

“I do, and when I win you’ll stop insulting Ash!”

“What, he’s trash, out of all of us from Pallet he’s the only one with 1 badge, and as far as Pokemon count, I go for quality not quantity.” Ash recalled Oak said he was picky about his catches. “But I’ll face your little grass types, it’ll be an easy win for me!” Cross had seen Toren’s match with Mist.

Ash could feel Toren’s aura flare with rage.

“Toren, are you gonna be okay?”

He nodded. “I’ll be fine, I plan to win!”

Cross called out Charmander while Toren called out Roots. “Get ready nerd, my fire type will sweep all your little Grass types and he’ll finally evolve!” Charmander flinched and Ash noticed, it seems Cross was also very fixated on evolution. He had a bad feeling the red head didn’t wait to evolve his Nidorino into a Nidoking.

This battle wasn’t gonna go like he expected as Toren didn’t even intend to use the style moves on Cross. He started things off with a Leech Seed, it hit and wrapped the fire type up. “Tch, use Ember!”

Charmander spun releasing flames from his tail. “Roots use Vine Whip to jump and dodge it!” He did, shooting into the air. “Now use Seed Bomb!”

Cross didn’t call for a dodge again, making Charmander take the attack. “Your weak grass moves won’t beat our fire!”

‘Is he serious!’

“Use Flamethrower and aim where it lands!” Charmander did and Roots got hit, but despite the powerful move and super effective attack Roots hung on sapping just enough energy from Charmander to hang in there. “What?!”

“Roots use Razor Leaf!” He attacked and once again Cross didn’t call for a block or a dodge and Charmander got pelted.

“Use Flamethrower now!”

The little guy did his best but Roots countered with Seed Bomb, it was just enough to hold off the flames as the Leech Seed sapped Charmander’s strength causing him to fall. “Ugh, you little weakling!” He returned the fire type. “You only won because your Pokemon was evolved, next time I’ll win!”

He walked off in a huff, Ash felt so bad for Charmander. It was a sour victory, but their journey continued.

-x-Nugget Bridge-x-

Toren was excited to take the Nugget Bridge challenge, trainers on the bridge offered cash prizes for victory. It was also good training for them. With Bloom and Ivy’s awakening they would be able to master moves much faster now.

The first trainer had Bug Pokemon, Caterpie, Weedle, and Venonat, but Toren claimed victory with Bloom. Weedle and Venonat were tough and fast but Bloom hung in there with Mega Drain and weakening them with Sweet Scent.

He dealt plenty of damage with Acid, and if he took damage he healed up with Mega Drain. The boy gave Toren an item which he could sell for big cash, thus was the game of Nugget Bridge, each trainer you beat as you made your way across gave you an item you could sell for money, you showed the item to the next trainer to continue the game and get the next token. If you lost you could keep going on the bridge but you lost the game and would have to try another day. The items each trainer had were different depending on the day. If the trainers got to keep their token they’d turn it in to the event manager and they’d get a good pay check.

There were limits, anyone with five or more badges couldn’t participate. Though they say once a month the event manager holds a special event where he hires Ace Trainers to watch the bridge and they were SUPER tough. So anyone with five badges or more could swing by and test their skills.

Toren’s next opponent was a girl and after showing her his token the battle was on. She had Pidgey and a female Nidoran. He kept in Bloom and continued with his strategy of Acid and Mega Drain combo.

She gave Toren her token and it was onto the next fight. This boy had three Pokemon so Toren battled with strategy. He used Bloom’s Poison Powder to Poison the Rattata, and took him out with Mega Drain and the draw from the poison.

His next monster was Ekans, Toren changed tactics switching Poison Powder for Sweet Scent, allowing Bloom to land more hits. With Acid and Mega Drain the snake monster went down.

The last Pokemon was Zubat, it’s flight made things a pain, but Bloom lowered his evasiveness with Sweet Scent, and was able to pummel him with his attacks. Bloom was overjoyed and judging by his aura he learned a new move... Giga Drain! Not only that he mastered the move Sweet Scent.

“Nice work Bloom!”

The next set of trainers were a couple, offering a double battle, the guy had Spearow and Nidoran Male, the girl had Pidgey and Nidoran Female. Ash wanted to join in, but since he didn’t have a token, he’d have to go all the way back to the start and wait for the trainers to get new tokens from the manager. They didn’t have that kind of time, so Toren was going in solo, but Ash and Brock were rooting for him.

Toren used Ivy and Pan.

The couple started with the flying types first. The double teamed Ivy with super effective flying attacks only to have Pan use Life Dew to heal him up.

Ivy hit the Spearow with Stun Spore, which dropped it’s speed and mobility. Spearow couldn’t move do to paralysis. Pidgey went for another attack only to again have Pan heal Ivy with Life Dew. Then Ivy doused her Pidgey with Stun Spore.

Now they were both paralyzed. Now it was time to attack, Pan got Spearow with a Sweet Kiss, and though he managed to get through the Paralysis he hurt himself in his confusion.

Ivy used Wrap on Pidgey, the constricting move aided immobilizing Pidgey.

A sweet kiss for Pidgey next and now both were paralyzed and confused. While on Pidgey Ivy used Vine Whip to hit Spearow, doing a little damage. Both bird monsters couldn’t move because of the Paralysis, but Pidgey took damage from the wrap.

Pan charged up a Pound and finished the Spearow off. Pidgey got hit with Vine Whip, it got through Paralysis only to do a Tackle into the ground, hurting itself in confusion.

Things weren’t about to be better for their Nidoran, targeting Clefairy didn’t help, as even with Toxic thanks to Magic Guard Pan took no damage. Soon both poison types were Paralyzed and Confused. Ivy had to be careful because of their ability but since Pan was already poisoned he cleaned up with Pound. Ivy helped guard Pan in this fight taking hits and healing with Synthesis.

Ivy mastered Stun Spore. Brock helped treat Pan.

Next fight was against a Camper named Ethan, he had three Pokemon, a Mankey, Meowth, and Growlithe.

Toren started with Jam, the first fight he set up double Toxic Spikes, then beat Mankey with Strong Style Poison Sting!

Meowth came up next and got badly poisoned, Jam hit hard with Double Kick, it was very super effective. He fainted and Growlithe was next, getting poisoned, Jam kicking his butt with Double Kick and the poison finished him off.

Ash was marveling at his tactics.

The next trainer had Pikachu, Raticate, and Sandshrew, Jam set up Toxic Spikes and kicked butt using Horn Attack and Double Kick.

He didn’t master a move but...Jam began to flow, evolving into Nidorino!

The last trainer was a girl, she had a Jigglypuff and a Psyduck. Toren used Ivy, Psyduck didn’t stand a chance, Ivy used Wrap for training purposes, healed up with Synthesis, and finished it off with Vine Whip.

Jigglypuff was tougher, they traded Stun Spore for Sing, Ivy getting put to sleep. Thanks to their bond. “Ivy!” The Bellsprout woke up, Jigglypuff managed to avoid paralysis and beat up Bellsprout.

Ivy used Wrap and Synthesis to stay strong and finally Ivy finished him up with a Strong Style Vine Whip.

He mastered Wrap! Toren was so proud.

‘What is the secret?’ Mist watched the whole thing but didn’t understand what they were seeing.

The trainer gave Toren the last token a Nugget. He got all the tokens in his bag. They’d sell them and get some big cash for his research!

They continued onto Route 25, where Ash let his mons out of the balls to join the trek to Bill’s place.

Brock had been doing so well, but the toy slipped out and slid down and began to vibrate right against his balls making the gym leader cum, making a mess of his underwear. Toren had to help him as Ash went to get water to help clean up.

Ketchum found a Krabby on the beach, the two clashed and Ash got his second Water Type. The ball glowed and returned to Oak. He returned with the water and news.

He saw Bill’s lighthouse, and the boys gathered there.

Bill was quite eccentric, he was trying to help humans understand pokemon more, he was always trying to get inside the heads/minds of Pokemon. One of his tests was getting into really advanced pokemon suits to try and understand a Pokemon. Though he got stuck inside one and thankfully Ash was able to let him out.

Brock cooked him some food and Toren looked over his research finding it fascinating.

After some food Bill was ready to listen to Ash’s proposal. Brock vouched that he did win his special match at the Pewter Gym even if he didn’t have a badge to show it. “Hmm, well typically the league has made special exception to the carry limit before, usually for Pokemon League Champions. They don’t understand that times have changed, trainers are able to carry more supplies now, and some have the skill to handle so many monsters.” Bill reviewed Ash’s proposal, it wasn’t just himself, he wanted it that all trainers could raise their carry limits.

“Well Ash, you’ve truly worked hard to prove your case, a new trainer winning not one but two special matches back to back is amazing.” He even looked over Ash’s Pokemon seeing all the love they had, not to mention their development. “Let me see your Pokedex.”

Ash handed it over and Bill put it into his computer. On a large screen appeared the images of many known Pokemon, with the ones Ash’s caught lighting up the squares. “There’s so many!” Toren gasped.

“Yes and more are being discovered every year.” He even spoke of the new types discovered in Johto. Brock and Toren held back on revealing what happened at Mt. Moon and the Clefairy.

Ash looked and looked but noticed two Pokemon were missing from Bill’s list, the one he saw in the rainbow and Arceus himself. “There’s someone missing.”

“Who do you mean?” Bill asked.

Ash looked to Toren. “Yes that one!” The boys revealed their Rainbow Feathers.

“My word!” Bill exclaimed. “I thought they were only a legend but this very well is proof.” Bill claimed that many Pokemon have been lost to time, either by evolution or by extinction, while others were so mighty they were like gods. To amazing to be believed they existed, legends carried on mainly in specific regions but since regional travel became more open some stories carried.

“That settles it then. I think this more than qualifies you!” Bill activated something on his computer and downloaded a program onto Ash’s Pokedex raising his carry limit to 9. “If you can prove yourself at the League we can maybe make a grander push.” He also took Toren’s Pokedex, giving him a moderate boost to 8.

“We’ll do our best sir!” Toren nodded in agreement.

Bill offered them a place to stay for the night, knowing they could set off tomorrow.

Ash rushed to call Oak to get his Pokemon.

To be continued...Bonding At the Lighthouse
