I was planning to include this in Alive v38 but it has a big bug that I haven't figured out yet and didn't want to delay Alive more, but I wanted to show you guys this because it's pretty cool.

This is done directly in Unity & through code, so there's no clutter atoms in the scene, only one asset. The idea is to create a smart background that can be used with any scene and have a general-purpose background setting/scene that has time of day, sky animation and light settings all baked in. Eventually weather effects & sounds too. As it is now it has 3 modes:
- static - where time stays in place and you can change it through the slider
- game - time advances in game time mode, I copied Skyrim for 72 minutes for a in-game day
- realtime - time reflects the real local time

awsome!

Awe geez... I never thought I would say this about a plugin for VaM. Any chance you could add accurate star fields for the northern and southern hemisphere as well as seasonal shifts of the sun along the horizon? I'm only partially joking, this is an amazing idea and I encourage you to go all in! It might be worth considering moving cloud cover and .weather type effects to a separate asset so that they can be layered in? However there are a ton of other assets already available that this could potentially work really well with.

Thanks! I wish I had more time to experiment but there's other stuff that take priority, this is just something small & quick to add a bit of life to some scenes, like outside the windows paired up with some noises & weather effects.

All you are looking into sounds great. I do use the asset/plugin Atmospheric ambience or something like that. It works really well for sounds, and there are quite a few. Some one had made a plug in that rotated assets. I used a skybox asset, and could slow it way down. It did look cool in its slow rotation, but it ate up my precious FPS, big time. I cannot use it. Looking forward to see what you come up with. I agree with Luna_C. If I can enter my location and date, and time, and have real time weather, daylight, Sun/moon phase and star/planet alinement, all moving in real time, that would be quite amazing. Might as well throw in a working telescope! LOL. Just curious how far off are we from, being able to talk to the person and have them use a chatbot to converse? 6 months, years? (I know this may not be your priority, but how long till anyone can make this work in your best guess) The setup I have now with 10-15 plugins, pretty much has the person appearing, pretty much Alive! Your plugin being the foundation of course, along with MacGruber and Acidbubbles. Forgot the guys name, but the Tryonmaster scene, is amazing. He is one of the few people uploading stuff using your tools, to create new ideas, at least that I see. Your and his brains must be wired similarly. With all your new Alive features and menus you are creating, the sky's the limit!

I'm more worried about adult sandbox elements. I still have to add basic sex poses, basic sounds and stuff like that. I only have minutes for stargazing lol, so no telescope and things of that nature anytime soon. Regarding chatbots, I think we'll start seeing some stuff very soon. It's a matter of quality and being worthwhile though. There are lost of moving pieces, it's not like a normal mod/plugin that just magically works, you have to install stuff, run stuff, etc. It's a constant cooldown. Because of that, for most people it's likely not worth the bother to use it. So it has to be something that adds a ton of value to make up for it, otherwise it's just a tech-demo gimmick imo

That's awesome... I usually wind up setting up scenes with a directional light that's got the right angle for the time of year up here around 45*N, and (because of where the window for my office is) about 2 hours before local solar noon so I get some nice "natural light" coming in any scene with windows in it. I love love love this idea...
