00:3:54 that s Togashi's writing. the only other fantasy manga artist of their generation that rivals him was Miura imho. am talking MANGA specifically, there are novels that are just as good or better written. still, amazing stuff.

One of the main reason why I hate Gon as a main character. He don't know how to quit even though he's severely outclassed and then some plot BS somehow save him because he's the MC. He's lucky there are a lot of sane people in HxH world. Try doing that against Jojo or DB villain...

Assassins are essentially elite soldiers for hire tbh. and they go after anyone, even if that person themselves isnt a fighter. that s the main difference. normal soldiers and mercenaries usually attack other fighters, assassins do not judge, they do as the client says if they agree with the mission.

Hitmen are paid to kill people by a criminal or political organization, assassins do it for religious or political reasons (usually more personal, I would assume).

In order to be an assassin they have to kill someone important for political or religious reasons, it doesn’t matter if they are paid or not. Hitmen are people who get hired to kill anyone, they have to be paid or they are just a murderer. Not all assassins are hitmen, and not all hitmen are assassins. Neither side ever also has to be the other.

I think you might have found the manga more satisfying re the doors. In the manga, each of them has to open them separately. They were not allowed to combine together to do. So each person pushed t least 3 times as much as shown here (Leorio in fact opened 2 doors). It’s a shame the anime doesn’t make it clearer why Gon is so strong, given his “one push” attack in the Heaven’s Arena arc. Gon doesn’t use talk no jutsu. He uses hit me no jutsu! The dad is cool, huh? Killua has been tortured for the last few days with his knowledge and consent. Who knows what other abuse he has undergone. But yeah, totally cool dad (although you’re far from being the only one who had this reaction)

For me, a hitman is employed by "the mob" or similar criminal enterprise. every episode moving forward tends to have a small segment called huntercyclopedia literaly after the ending ends by gon and killua that explains a bit further about some characters or other things in the anime its worth watching it.

Just gonna say this as it isn't a spoiler, but rather trivia and something not revealed in the anime. All the Zoldyck children (Killua and his siblings) are born male. Kalluto is not trans, but rather a crossdresser (can't remember if it was to appear weaker to enemies, or to get his moms attention). So it's not his younger sister, but younger brother. I do think sharing this information is the way to go, since some lines later on seem to be made with the intent of us having that knowledge.

My take on the Assassin vs Hitman debate is that a hitman works for an organization and kill on the behalf of it, while an assassin is more freelance and takes any job with no real loyalties.

i dont like how they rewrote the gate part.. in the original anime they kept training till all 3 could open the gates by themselves.. it also gave leorio time to shine cause he managed to open more gates then the other 2

anime deviates slightly here. At the end of the training, gon and kurapika are able to open gate 1 solo, and leorio is able to open the second gate.
