Comments

Erika Stahl

Can't wait to watch this after work! Looking forward to a possible taylor stream when you're up for it.

Lavenderdazed

My day just got better!

JC

OMGGGGG IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS SINCE LAST WEEK

JC

super duper excited to watch this

Nancy B

Yes, I love watching you sit there with your mouth hanging open because that's what I do too!

Mads

the spa story has me DYING lmaooo

Darsy Smith

It took me a couple of times watching to be able to look AWAY from Taylor enough to see: in Delicate, the crowd's bracelets have a 'impact' effect that ripples out from the middle stage when she stomps. After the big one, it keeps rippling for a while. It's one of my favorite parts of the stage interaction! OH and when you see the lights go straight up from the stage... if there's no roof, they keep going. There are a few videos on YT from the crowd looking up at the way they illuminate the crowds above! Loved every second! Make sure you have tissues next era just in case, no spoilers of course to tell you it's epic!

MM

Your reactions are SOOOO fun!

Mequet

The way you looked shell-shocked towards the end of Don’t Blame Me 😭

Alexia French

PLEASE WATCH HER SPEAK NOW TOUR FROM WHEN SHE WAS YOUNGER ITS EVERYTHING TO LOOK AT HOW SO MUCH IS THE SAME YET CHANGED 💞

Virginia Wilson

I believe the original video has been taken down now (because of the BMR/Scooter masters mess), or at least I can't find it anywhere, but the original music video for Long Live was a tour video of her Speak Now tour and interacting with fans and the crowds while she was singing. It's always been really special, at least to me, because of that, because it felt like a thank you and a love letter to the fans that helped her get her start. And Taylor is always, *always* afraid that every album she makes is going to be the last one that people love, that she'll drop out of relevance because she's too old or too familiar or not the next new rising star, so looking back it makes sense that even on her second album she was looking ahead at a possible ending. How lucky are we that it's never appeared? Love your reactions, by the way. Keep being you, it's why we're all here.

Virginia Wilson

Yeah, here we go, this is the performance from the Speak Now tour, at least. It has a little talking intro about the inspiration for the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYNYmbsmyH0

G

you gotta watch the behind the scenes video of them writing delicate, and the speech/performance at the rep tour

G

he'd cry at the performances for sparks fly, story of us, haunted, back to december, omg and dear john agggghhh

Mequet

Also you’re right about Long Live. It’s an ode to her band/dancers and the Swifties. 🥹

Alexia French

Also LONG LIVE was written for her fans❤️ so imagine little Taylor writing this song so many years ago and performing it now to many fans that brought their own children to her shows. Now that they’re older and families of their own. It truly hits my heart EVERY TIME

Lavenderdazed

Long Live never fails to make me cry. I thought I would hold it together but as soon as she "tell them how the crowds went wild, tell them how I hope they shine" I lost it 😭

Jacob

Speak Now is the only album entirely written by Taylor alone when she was 19-21. It’s characterized by its honesty and sort of unfilteredness and is deeply personal to Taylor, containing emotions from from regret to love struckeness to anger to desperation to sultry. All of Taylor’s albums are great but there’s something about Speak Now that makes it set apart from the rest. I HIGHLY recommend it to you seeing as you’re a pretty passionate and emotional guy.

kelby

long live (the 2nd song played for speak now) is a song for the fans and her band. it’s an emotional song for sure i cry everytime i hear it

kelby

the line “if u have children someday, when they point to the pictures, pls tell them my name” i start sobbing like HOW DARE SHE WRITE THAT LYRIC

Brent

She wrote Long Live (the last song) during her first tour. It was written about how she felt with her band and with the crowds. And yes, the last verse is sad... it's about how she wants us to remember her after her career ends. She never takes continued success for granted!

Cat M

Long Live is a song talking directly to the fans. It’s all about the swifties

Erica Brabbin

It's even more poinant as we all age into having our own kids and they live her too. It's amazing

Megan 🫶🏻

she wrote "Long Live" for her band that you see playing on stage with her, but the fans also claim it as a song for the fans as well🩷

Erica Brabbin

Every time you ask if it's fun to watch these. It's like being Dr Who watching his companion discover the universe. It's fun, we promise. 😊

Christina

when you said, it feels like she is singing to the swifties.. she is! she wrote long live for the fans and band.

Kendra P

Every era is your favorite until you get to the next one. Taylor kills everyone because they’re all authentically her.

Emma Schultz

I LOVE the song Long Live, since I first listened to it on her Speak Now CD. I love how she wrote the song to her fans.

Emma Schultz

EDIT: She wrote the song for her fans and she came up with the idea for the song when she first heard the sound of people cheering for her and chanting her name! She wanted to put that sound into words. Her band is her family! So I love how even though over the years she’s gotten huge she still gives them a shoutout.

SwiftZilla

As many have stated, Long Live is from her 2010 album "Speak Now" (obviously since its in the "Speak Now Era" set lol) - The song she wrote for her band and us, the swifties. It's a song for the fans specifically (which I know I pretty much already stated), I was at the show when she first added it to the Eras Tour setlist and it was great. Also the guitar she played during the performance is the exact same guitar she used for the duration of the Speak Now World tour 2011-2012. That song has a very special place in my and im pretty sure all swifties hearts. I highly recommend watching the lyric video to the song (Taylor's Version of course) and also the performance of the song from the Speak Now World Tour. As well as the entire Speak Now world tour. It's one of my favorite tours from Tay. You'd absolutely love it. I just wanna reach through the screen and give you a hug! Thank you for reacting and being your genuine self as always. 🤍

Kate Felmet

its fun to watch you enjoy her. I look forward to this on Fridays

madison

love seeing you react to don’t blame me/lwymmd from the eras tour for a second time and it still blowing your mind again 🥹

Heather Norton

FYI, it's still totally fun to watch you with your jaw down. One of my favorite parts of friday!

Alisa Harmon

She wrote long live around the time of her fearless tour, when she was just getting started in her career, because she wasn’t sure if this would’ve been her last time on stage and she didn’t want to take any of that for granted

Gordon Werner

Luke, Please consider reacting to the entire Reputation Stadium Tour video like you have done for the Eras Tour

The Evills

I misread that as being one of your favorite parts of pants off Friday. 😂

Lindsay Kumpf

I left this suggestion/request in a YouTube comment a while ago but now that you’ve seen Long Live on the Eras tour I reeeeeallly hope you react to it from the Speak Now tour. This video she makes a speech before the performance and it just gives extra context and makes it feel even more special. Plus I think you’ll just enjoy seeing her earlier performances and how she’s grown but also still just genuinely herself: https://youtu.be/mPU65n10BUk?si=_j0N8tGKMr8rFzLG

Alethea C

long live always make me teary eyed

Megan Delynn

Yes darling! It's actually like crack for Swifties to watch other people realize the amazingness that is Taylor Swift, especially live! It's almost like the first time we got to see her do this!

Maddie Loftus

Long Live was actually sort of written to be a goodbye song. It ends her Speak Now album and she was on top of the world after Fearless, but she wasn't sure it was going to last. She wrote it as kind of a love letter to her band for being by her side during that time, and the fans have claimed it as a love letter to them as well.

Meg Crandall

I love watching you watch these!! Your laugh is infectious so it's like I'm watching these with a friend and not alone!! ❤️ You get so emotionally invested into Taylor how could I not watch you each week! Love Tuesdays and Fridays!!!

The Evills

Oh Luke. You had tears in your eyes halfway through Delicate — you did NOT get out of Reputation unscathed. 😂

Danny G

Long Live always makes me sob 😭💜 I’m honestly surprised you kept it together as well as you did for that one

Jenna Bolmgren

As someone who went to The Eras Tour before Speak Now tv (Minneapolis N1), I will never get over not getting to see Long Live live but so so glad it made it in the movie 💜

Erika Stahl

Long live has always been for Taylor and the swifties. Some people don't understand the relationship.

Emma Brilleslyper

I think her band and singers feel so much like a family bc they ARE. Many of them have been with her since 1989 (2014) or even earlier. Paul, her lead guitarist, and Al her bassist, have been with her since 2007 for example.

Rissy (Taylor's Version)

Long Live was written after she won Grammy Album of the year for Fearless, the most awarded album in country history. It's celebrating a moment of joy and victory when all naysayers were against her, and she knows she won because the love of her fans. So it's a song to us, telling us we beat the odds together and to keep those memories alive. And completely self written!

Andrea Russell

As soon as you decided to dive into Speak Now I knew there was no way you were holding it together. And I love that about you!!!

Meredith Mettetal

You need to react to the delicate music video, you mentioned today you hadn't heard that one. It's one of the videos that made me go wait, this is Taylor Swift??? She's vulnerable and goofy and of course cute as a button in it!

123 Let’s Go Bitch!

All the shows prior to the release of Speak Now tv (Taylor’s Version) didn’t get Long Live. My show didn’t 😭. Also the 123Let’sGoBitch!username is from the chant we do during Delicate. It’s also what my license plate says and it’s black 🖤🐍

123 Let’s Go Bitch!

Long Live was written for her band, but became about Swifties too 💜🫶💜

Lindsey Fowler

You should watch Long Live from her Speak Now tour for a mid week reaction! It’s so powerful to compare it to this version. This has become the swiftie anthem. It’s special.

Ginger Clements

Luke, you’re my favorite reactor to watch. The only talent I follow on Patreon. Hope you feel better soon ❤️

Gordon Werner

Her mashup of long live and New Year’s Day on the Reputation tour is my favorite version of this song … but knowing the reason for the song just makes long live even better.

Gordon Werner

Ok that version is great … it is amazing how far she’s come … and gettin to sing that song now in from of 70,000 some people who are all singing along. ツ

Jamie Wilson

Dude, you're gonna need to bring your own separate purse, filled with tissues and a big water bottle when you see the Eras Tour in person. Knowing how crowd reactions/interactions make you tear up, and seeing every person filling a giant stadium dressed in themed clothes, scream-singing every word of every song... genuinely, make sure to bring lots of tissues and water! You really will need it.

Gordon Werner

Yeah. He needs to react to that … she was so so young — so cool to see from where she came to where she is today

Kristine

The transition in reputation is really good esp the Don't Blame Me + Look What You Made Me Do. Also Long Live is such a special song!

angel maldonado

OMG!!! i totally understand you!!! Enchanted from Speak Now is my favorite song and I cried a lot when i get to hear it in the concert - it was unbelievable 😭😭😭🤍

Ana Bee

Okay so quick infodump: The reason all of her performers (her band specifically) seem so happy to be there is because she has had the same band since she started touring! Paul Sidoti (spiked up hair, sick guitar) has been her lead guitarist since 2007. Long live touches me so much, its an ode to her fans, I saw her Speak Now tour back in 2011 and it was magical. I love watching your reactions to her!

Learning2Live_ Broken&inChronicPain

So my Sister in law found out she was pregnant the day she went and saw “The Eras Tour”. She is a huge Swiftie and they are naming my new nephew, Taylor. ✨💜✨ Her favorite song is “Enchanted”, I was able to find onesies on Etsy that say, “Enchanted to meet you”! They are so cute! I can’t wait, he will be here in March. So now when I hear “Enchanted”, I cry too. Also, “The Reputation Tour” is really good. You should watch that concert too. As always, I enjoy watching your reactions! You are so genuine.

Lisa Champagne

That look on your face during long live ♡. That song never fails to get me right in the heart. I cry every time. I will always remember all of the feelings as I looked out at everyone else during the show. It's so good.

Erin Harder

Same here!! It’s my Tuesday/Friday night treats! I make sure I can sit down and really watch!

Janean Chaltraw-Westhues

I hope you feel better soon! Why do we watch? Your joy brings us joy As for Reputation….it’s my favorite. I just love the energy and bad/mad Taylor is my favorite.

Andree Kelly

You are my favorite reactor…love it!

Allie Skelly

Long live is like A self aware blissful fleeting moment that’s slipping away but ur both in it still and you can feel how big and perfect and unreal that fleeting moment is. It’s her fan anthem. Don’t stop sharing these I wait for them ur reaction gives double goosebumps.

Mary

I started watching on YouTube and then remembered I paid for Patreon so I can watch without copyright watermark. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Mary

We love your reactions because this was our reaction to the Eras tour first seeing it!!

Mary

Please please please react to the full reputation album when Taylor’s Version comes out!! We will need that!

Mary

Also please do a full album reaction when the tortured poets department comes out in April!!

Mary

Yes, the boxes are each of her old Taylor “eras” from her music videos.

Mary

So happy you decided to do Speak Now during this reaction and not wait until next week 💜

Mary

Never apologize for your emotions Luke. We love it. You are a true Swiftie. We are all emotional. Taylor does that to us.

Dirkus

A lot of the graphics you see between ears are added in post production and the people at the venue did not see it (e.g., the snake at the beginning of reputation). It's not only FUN, but VALIDATING to watch your reactions! When I first went down this rabbit hole, I was just sitting in a constant state of slack-jawed-ness (I just invented that word) so I'm glad to see it's not just me! If you look REALLY closely in a couple of the shots during Delicate, there's a small dot that appears on the stage to show Taylor where to step so it's right on top of the "crack" in the stage. The vocal squeaks in the "Don't Blame Me" ad-libs are SOOOO GOOD. And that transition to "LWYMMD!!!!" OMG! If you're not aware, "Long Live" is Taylor's tribute to her fans. I cannot get through it without at least tearing up a little, but seeing it live with all the band members (a lot of whom have been with her since she wrote the song) just makes me bawl every time!

Tracy Dumpit

Same here! I watched the livestreams over the summer with my two young boys and went to her concert with my niece and nephew so it hits hard every time. Was in tears at the concert 😭

Emily

Same with the Speak Now tour— it just feels so incredibly intimate and whimsical and fun!! Especially her performances of Mean, Dear John, Speak Now, Haunted and Long Live

sydbee

Long Live is bittersweet because she wrote it for her third album, Speak Now, at what she thought was the peak of her career. There was a time when she thought she'd never be able to top Fearless. It's a love song for her band, a band of thieves in ripped of jeans who got to rule the world, even if just for a minute. It's crazy - she always thinks she's reached the top, she said the same thing after Lover.

Diana Harriman

You should react to the delicate video!

Laura Bradford

Luke… you have to bring tissues to the next era. The song 22 Taylor gives her hat to Kobey Bryant’s daughter. Gets me in the feels every dang time.

Kelsey

Loved crying with you through another era!

Gz

dude love u

Virginia Wilson

Same! I'm pretty sure I linked the same video, too. Would love to see him react to it.

Mequet

Not you being a bad bitch at the spa!! Love that for you😂

Isabella Peterson

Honestly your reactions of this is the highlight of my week 🫶

2024-02-20 06:35:46 Just plan on having tissue ready and stop fighting the tears. Really, we totally understand the swell of emotion that listening/watching Taylor brings. Just consider it as joy so overwhelming that it seeps out. We watch to see honest emotions that reflect how we feel, so let them flow! :)

Gordon Werner

I would love to see a reaction to Getaway Car

Kristina Mount-Burton

I hope you’re feeling better. Absolutely 🩵 your genuine reactions. #newfan1

Bryan Daves

You being speechless is anything but boring. Don’t feel the need to say anything when you’re in the zone

Bryan Daves

My favorite version too. I’ve been spamming his comment sections hoping that he’ll react to it. You can’t go wrong with the OG Speak Now World Tour version either. That song in concert is like an arrow to my soul.

Bryan Daves

That version and the Long Live/New Years Day from Rep Tour both deserve a Luke reaction.

Olivia DeVore

You need to react to the eras tour surprise songs!!!

Annika

I think we like watching reactors because it’s like we get to watch for the first time too through you, you do you! 🙌

JoAnn Burrage

Her band has been with her since the beginning. This song is for them and her fans.

Cara M

It’s so theatrical too! I think he’ll love it 💜💜

Cara M

I lose it everytime she sings “force us into a goodbye” YOURE NOT GOING ANYWHERE TAYLOR ALISON SWIFT!!

Mal

Bro I don't mean to be too blunt but I don't watch these vids to be quote on quote "entertained", I watch these cuz I wanna watch a cool ass dude named Luke react to one of my heroes. 🫶

Katilyn

You should ask Jamie to give you a full rundown of all the fun little Swifties related things that happen at her concerts. Like that part of “Delicate” where they all yelled something with her. It was something a fan yelled at a concert one time, it caught on, and Taylor started waiting for it when performing after that. Now it’s just a part of the song when she performs live. There’s other ones too. I love watching your reactions because you’re just filled with so much happiness. It’s like watching it with a friend 😊

Katilyn

Also, your face when “Speak Now” popped up on the screen and you knew you were going to do it after a two minute speech at the start that you weren’t 😂 It was like a child who grabbed an extra cookie from the cookie jar 🤣
