In terms of endings for each route, this one it’s a bit more happier than the true ubw ending. Though…. Sakura is still depressed and is still abuse her brother and grandpa, Illya is dead, Rider is dead….

Thanks again for reacting to Sunny Day. Since the source was originally a choose-your-ending, it’s completely fair to consider this the canon ending for Fate 😊 Watching this at the beginning would have been a bit of good vibes and energy to start the stream and you wouldn't have been so tired. I could tell that you were wary of reacting to the ova since you kept putting it off. You should trust us more. We wouldn’t steer you wrong. Not by too much anyway. Hehe.

This is actually called the "Good Ending" in the VN. The ending that the main show is based on is the "True Ending".

Thanks for watching Sunny Day! (AKA the UBW good end) but, If I remember correctly, all "ends" are canon. Because for the simple reason that Fate is a multi-verse with some other timelines and such.

I wish more reactors would watch the 2006 version, maybe watching on their own with some reaction highlights, before going to the spinoff series. As a fan, it had great music and gave Saber the attention she deserved.

I did watch the 2006 anime back when I was in high school, but after playing the VN, I gotta say, it was comparatively lacking. Rin is still my favourite, but the Fate route had some really good moments. My favourite was after Shirou enters the basement of the church and Kotomine offers him the Grail and he refuses.

Kind of. None of the routes arising from the 5th holy grail war are different time lines. They are all possible outcomes that haven't been fully decided on. It's the reason Saber is present in all the routes, she cannot be in the same "time" as she isn't a real servant (not dead as of these events). She is actually the real person, unlike the other servants so can only be summoned to 1 point in time. Whenever, if ever, a true route gets decided on then the others will either be destroyed or become fully separate worlds (unlikely). This is only true for this version of Saber, and other classes pull from different timelines (lancer, Ruler, etc..).
