season 2 ends on a mega cliffhanger, and the animation is bad, with the exception of everything garou. the story is still god tier. i recomend reading the comic (not manga) if you can't wait for a sequel that might never come

Nothing is wrong with it. but the comics is just funnier. it's created by 2 different people. and the comic is the original. and we have to wait 4 years for a sequal last time.

Season ending on a cliffhanger, bad animation and a sequel that might never come ? Are you seriously high ? The season ended at the perfect moment to not let you on a cliffhanger, the animation isn't on par with the first season but it's still better than 90% of anime you watch and season 3 has already been confirmed

Confirmed doesn't mean it will be released. having followed the anime industry a good 17 years that is one thing that is certain. but i agree that season 2 isn't nearly as bad as people say. (except sounds effects thats actually trash)

I've seen far worse animation, but yeah. Compared to the first season, the second season's animation is terrible. It's such a shame, because it really killed the momentum of the series.

Don't underestimate the button mashing in fighting games. When Injustice game first game out my friend and his brother had it for few months and then I played with them. Kicked their buttons doing button mashing. I didn't know any moves but just tried all button combos from other fighting games doing random moves.

2024-01-29 06:24:46 Genos won a few battles so far: the gorilla from the house of evolution (ep 2 or 3 S1), the machine-god-whatever from ep1 S2 ... But yeah he has an habit of fighting opponents that are too strong and being reckless/blown in pieces. As for the dragon threat, as said in your chat it's a very large, almost absurdly. Just Goketsu the martial artist monster was a very strong dragon, above most of the other ones (Bakuzan for example was dragon too, yet he was handled like a baby by Goketsu), Elder Centipede is probably even a bit stronger, but actually, there are even monsters way stronger than all them that are still dragon threat level. Even for Boros (unmatched so far) it's sometimes unclear, even if he could blow the surface of the planet so technically he should be god by "definition".

S3 is currently in production. It's supposed to be a return to s1 quality animation, which is why it's taking a long time. S3 will be non stop fights for the most part, hard to animate.

My biggest gripe with season 2 was the martial arts tournament, it dragged on way too long.

Hard to gauge levels since Saitama ends them all instantly. What makes Boros God level is he took multiple normal punches from Saitama. Think Boros was only enemy Saitam used serious punch on, and it didn't even completely disintegrate him like normal punch does to others.

When boros was charging up his attack he said it was strong enough to destroy the entire planet. I don't think we have to guess whether or not he was a God level threat.

I am with Luke on that topic. I don't see the poor part. I mean... Did you ever see Tenkuu Danzai Skelter+Heaven or Hametsu no Mars as a comparison? That's what i objectively call poor animation. Hametsu no Mars being especially bad in every regard...

When I saw this season I knew only Naruto and some other popular anime like death note, Code Geass, Re:Zero, aot,… Not only I felt a big difference, but at that time I was watching with my brother and some friends and one of them (who was a beginner in this area) asked during Saitama and Suiryu fight if this looks very-very bad. That came from a novice who knew Naruto,Dbz and Pokémon from tv. Taking aside Genos moment with Centichoro and Saitama’s final punch everything was animated objectively bad, and this is why they are struggling to find a studio to adapt the manga (which by the way it looks insane you gotta check it). It seems that the creator it’s making it’s own studio for season 3, so we don’t get this year too opm. Too bad MadHouse is taking less and less projects these days, they were great and made a big surprise with Frieren💪

the thing is that there is a God Level Threat Tier, that means a Risk to the whole human species, and Boros was yes a risk to the whole human species and the hole planet, so he was a god level threat. Just because the monster God has that name, doesn't make other villains incapable of being god tier.
