He did his daily quest seven times. Jinwoo's strength is 32. That's 10 Basic + 3 x 7 (21) Daily + 1 for the Level Up.

to answer one of your early questions yes all of his stats started at 10 to begin with including his strength.

So the sword was the one he was holding onto when the statues attacked. He doesn't know how it appeared into his inventory and assumed the system just threw it there when he became a player. Kim's Sword had an attack bonus of +10. The Kasaka's Fang Dagger has an attack bonus of +25 The novels and manhwa do not outright say this but we can infer that the broken sword does not have an attack bonus, or if it does then it is severely decreased from the base +10 so Jin Woo killed that Boss Monster with just his strength alone.

All the hunters awaken with a preset power and cannot increase it, the name of the anime is solo leveling, he's not part of the hunter system because he can increase his powere every day. Also when the measure his hunter level in the hospital he still haven't increase a single level, so thats why the system still score 10 points, since he didn't even start to "solo leveling".

I think the novels and manhwa showcased it a bit better but with the heavily armored type of monsters, piercing and slashing weapons are ineffective. Him grappling it was basically crushing the durable scales against the softer insides. Basically it is the same as historical plate armor which swords, spears, and arrows were ineffective against so people used bludgeoning weapons like warhammers to crumple the armor and damage the person inside.

So I was as sad as anyone else when studio animating Solo Leveling was announced to not be Ufotable. But I think its safe to say so far they are doing a S tier job at animating this...

He said that the golem is D rank which means its easier than the one he just fought -meaning that the snake boss was C rank. Considering that you don't expect someone to solo a boss of the same rank its easy to estimate that he's at least C+ or maybe even B- at this point. That he went from bottom of the barrel E to this with just a little daily workout and one dungeon should make it clear how much potential this leveling system he's got has.

Ranks can be looked at if you have a D rank and you want to fight him as a E rank you'd need 10 E Ranks to fight the D rank. each rank is basically a factor of 10 in the power scale. ############################################################ (Minor power scale spoilers ahead, read if you dont mind knowing a bit of how strong they are and how they are expected to act as their respective rank, i wont go into detail) ############################################################ F rank: jinwoo *sad trumpet noises* Low Rank##################################################### E/D ranks: can be considered low rank and go in normal low rank dungeons, they can be looked at as superhumans D rank being 10x stronger then E rank. C rank: are much stronger and start to go into dungeons which are more complex/dangerous they are considered to be the middle group neither high rank or low rank. High Rank##################################################### B rank: is considered the low end of high rank, you expect them to go into bigger dungeons and potentially raids as backup/foot soldier. A rank: can be considered the cream of the crop, they are expected to lead the B ranks into the most common high difficulty dungeons, they also created forces to lead teams into dungeons. S rank: can be considered a force so strong, that they have political value to the land they stay in, not many S rank exists and each one is valued so much that whoever deals with them deals with them with the upmost respect. S ranks deal with the most dangerous and powerful gates or any gates A rank teams failed to complete.

If I remember correctly from the manwa the sources materials it explaned more how he got the sword it whas the sword they left in the dangeon when they run out In the first ep ans jinwoo used it to try protect himself from the statue when he became a player the sword I guess whent to his inventory

Aye you know what? I'm liking this anime. This reminded me too much of a similar anime released last year. The only difference was it gave the main character everything needed to succeed in life by finding a secret dungeon/world to level up in. It gave him money, good lucks, strength, made him a complete chick magnet. It was ridiculous. He never EARNED any of that stuff. THIS GUY DOES!!! I literally laughed my ass off when I realized this guy going to choke out a giant ass snake bigger than him. What a chad

Pacing complaints were more about how quickly stuff was gone over mostly. He experimented and studied the system more in the webnovel than he does here. Though anime adaptations always require different pacing so it's not a huge surprise that happened, but it would have answered questions like the one you had about the sword.

Things I've noticed...maybe he has to chose a Title to get the benefits. I didn't show a Title yet. Also it'll be interesting if/when he gets a Job. I'm assuming thats like Class/Profession. And we haven't even seen any abilities yet, but I'm assuming thats coming. And his Life Points are rising quite a bit. He'd be dead otherwise as much as he's been hitting walls and floors.

New episode of solo flexing lez goo. The sword he had in his hand when he nearly died became an item, and was stashed in his inventory automatically. All flashbacks are in the original colored korean webtoon (not manga), the anime is not adding themselves the flashbacks. The original material just present the story like an anime would do.

The hype is real. Though it looks like it was only green lit for 1 cour (ie 12 eps). But assuming it does well, I'm hoping it will get several follow on seasons to finish the story. One of the best things is that the source material has finished the main story. So there is no need to worry about the anime stopping production due to there not being enough source material to animate.

I started rereading the Manwha after the first episode released. So far, pretty much everything is identical to the first 17 chapters. The anime has had a little bit more exposition than the Manwha originally had, and several of the characters hadn't been shown this early, but I can understand explaining things a bit earlier to help new viewers. Also, originally there were 17 people that got trapped in the Cartenon Temple, and the anime has cut it down to 13, but I don't see any reason they would have needed to keep it as 17. Aside from that, the pacing has been very good, and if the opening is anything to go by, I expect to see at least one "ARISE" this season.

My guess of why he started glowing blue in the boss fight is that his passive skill activated. "When below 30%hp, all damage received is reduced by 50%." I think the anime skipped showing his skills though?

When the goblins appeared, Jinwoo was already strong enough to take them easily. But he still does not catch up to his actual strength and still comparing himself to what he used to be. The sword in his inventory is the one left behind by Mr. Kim (the guy that ran away from the sacrificial altar saying "I have a family..." in episode 2) Jinwoo took it to protect himself against the status. Thus became his property.

So far solo levelling has not disappointed from its god tier animation to its amazing voice acting. Also a new movie called maboroshi came out that would be nice to see you watch as a movie watch along some time :)

Kim was that coward who ran for the door and left them all to die during episode 2 right before Mr. Song knocked out Joohee and carried her to safety, When Jinwoo became a Player on the alter he still had that sword it automatically transferred into his inventory then.

So Luke, no spoiler here, just explaining some things in this episode that were not showed : the blue hue around him when fighting the snake was him activating his skill dash lv 1 (all actions are 30% faster (and yeah activating that skill consumes 30 Mana points or so)). Second thing : yeah he's obviously stronger than most of the people he fought alongside with. I'll state him around D+ rank now, if not C- . Third thing, don't mix up the ranks that are showed on his screen and the ranks used by the society (it's the same letter system used, but they will sometime differ). 4th thing, yeah somehow the population is feeling overly safe, since they are confident with the hunters, and they can't seem to see where lies the dangers around gates anymore (dungeon breaks are a rare occurence and you might feel like you got something to talk back at home if you could see a dungeon break occur with your own eyes) (it's been 10 years since these dungeons appeared). 5th thing : yeah bear with our Jin-Woo, he doesn't want to stand out in society since it could arise some jealousy if some see that he keeps increasing in power in a world were your mana level is stuck at the level you awake it.

Third thing addition: The item/weapons ranking is similar to the rarity of drops in video games with their special bonuses and perks. It has nothing to do with the hunters ranking system and Jinwoo can use an A or S rank item/weapon even if his hunter rank is lower than the item rank.

And, I assume, the "game" tidied things up and put the sword in his inventory when he agreed to join the game. He didn't know he had it because he's never played RPGs and didn't think there even WAS an inventory until he had that inspiration. He should play Grim Dawn before his next quest! By contrast, the protagonist in "So I'm a spider. So what?" was VERY familiar with RPGs and even knew to ask the "assistant" how the rules worked.

Great comment! This is the kind of info that could be very important to keeping the details ironed out moving forward. Sung's ability to grow stronger, while every single other Hunter(barring a second awakening) will never grow stats-wise or abilities, would absolutely get other Hunters jealous of him or trigger their anger, since "Should be me!!!" is definitely a thing. Also, in that world, everyone knows how much each nation desires and hordes thestrongest Hunters than can, and if the world learned of a guy who infinitely scales? Huge pain in the ass, to say the least. Dude just wants to wake up his mom and get his sister through college safe and happy.

I feel like this entire series is gonna be as hype and as high quality as ones like Oshi no Ko and Eminence in Shadow. I hope it's a milestone for the anime-onlys to look back on and remember an amazing experience. For us manhwa readers, I believe this is a massive reward and a proper adaptation. The thing is... this weapon is a c-class weapon, but its a boss drop. So the lowest ranked that would actually have something like that is B, and that is if they are already in a pretty close relationship with money.
