Both sword art online and my hero academia are comparable to the length of attack on titan. They are both top tier while I'd have to say sword art online is better as my hero gets incredibly slow during season 4 and 5 till it kicks ass again in season 6 and a season 7 to come. Now I saw a YouTube comment regarding your post of watching the first episode of each big anime before the tournament on which one. This comment suggested that after watching the first episode of all the big anime you pick your favorites and use those to create the choosing tournament. I like this idea because it allows you to see more of the big stories and while still narrowing down the poll for the clash of choice for the viewers. I also personally want suggest fairytail to be included. As big animes can have slow pacing but fairytail has incredible pacing and fights even during the short fillers it's always a joy another of my top choices I'll be voting for under fairytail is hunter x hunter. The best story telling of all the long running tops. I look forward to the poll! Thanks! :)

the fights in re zero are just so great because you know their is a high chance the characters are actually going to die You've seen garfiel kill otto before in one punch so now you're really stressed out for him and ram

I don't think that My Hero makes much sense to be in a poll for now because you are already doing the long anime poll. Once that's over some of the shorter shows on that list might make sense to bring over here. SAO makes more sense to be in the poll even though it is a little long if everything is included. My personal recommendations to be in the poll would be: Gurren Lagan and Cowboy Bebop

the only reason I wouldn't vote for Overlord is I want you to start it so you can keep watching as s5 (the last season) begins. And it's a way off. So Demon Slayer it is! 6:30 "He has an actual power?" Yeah, these 'blessings' are scattered around. Otto can speak to animals. Felt has the blessing of the wind so she can jump around a lot. All ground dragons have an anti-wind turbulence blessing. (I don't understand that one) Reinhard has ... well, what blessing DOESN'T he have?

As you were talking about future anime in the video. Since you already watched Konosuba and Tanya the Evil, are watching RE:Zero right now, and plan on watching Overlord, "Isekai Quartet" could be a great future pick. After all, it's a lighthearted cross-over between those 4 anime and a great change of genre for once.

man.. imagine that they had to put this big of a holdout for literally the strongest character in the area for literally just Subaru and Emilia to have a liitle talk :DD kinda makes no sense to me.. (yeah they were talking in the trial area or whatever which Garfiel dislike Subaru being near but still..) good episode though.. Otto backstory and the actual confession with a kiss ?? you like to see it etc..

I really like how Re:zero makes their emotional impact. When you hear that the series is "emotionally brutal" you expect the same backstory on every character. Along the lines of "abusive parents and/or alcoholics, poor, bullied, only friend killed, sold somewhere, not a happy day in their life" as many edgy anime do. But re:zero has generally really happy moments too, almost more than the sad. It maked the dramatic and brutal scenes more effective with the contrast. Otto's backstory was more impactful when he actually had a loving and supportive family from the start.

Overlord would fit extremely well, considering that you already watched konosuba and Tanya. Re:Zero is the third one from the Isekai Quartet, the only one left is Overlord. So for Season 1, you would have all the background-information from the characters appearing. If you watch Overlord next, it would be perfectly fitting to go for Isekai Quartet afterwards (only season 1 though, as season 2 introduces a whole additional set of isekai anime)

MHA and SAO are both extremely basic level anime in terms of storytelling and quality. Not only are they super long, I just don't know how much interest you'd have since it would be a quality drop from some of the shows you've already been watching

I would love if you re-reacted to the Openings and Eds now that you've seen the show. I think it would add a lot of context and change your view of them completely compared to before you knew what the show was about. Amazing catch at the end with Emilia's Eyes :)

read the novels if you have a chance. Re Zero is an amazing anime especially s2. White fox went above and beyond cutting the commercial slots and not airing the op/ed in most episodes. But like any Novel adaptation, things get cut. a whole lot of things.

About the eyes, I've always thought of it as showing that they truly UNDERSTAND the other person, they SEE the real them. I don't think we ever saw Emilia in Subaru's eyes in season 1 cuz he put her on a pedestal, thought her a brilliant shining goddess. When she was really suffering. We saw Subaru in Rem's eyes because she saw all he could be even when he didn't. Now we see Subaru in Emilia's eyes because she finally UNDERSTANDS him and how he could love her. You see Subaru isn't the only character suffering from Self Hatred. She couldn't understand how he wasn't angry and disappointed in her because that was how she felt about herself. Also in so many of the flashbacks to his deaths Emilia doesn't UNDERSTAND why he would go so far

So we are 40 episodes in and Subaru starts his confession to Emilia with I love you because you are pretty aka listing her body parts... It sends a message of importance of looks before personality. I might have overlooked this as teenage girl but I am not anymore. This adds to Subaru's red flag collection. As for the choosing of amine options... Please consider adding some non-fantasy/supernatural ones.

Yeah. People might hate DS, and say how great MHA is. But for real, some of the first MHA seasons are mid, S5 is boring until 2nd Arc comes. S5 Arc2 & S6 are peaking & hype af, many emotions, insane battles etc.

Okay, again I'll try to be brief, but you asked some pretty pointed questions, Luke. "I thought she lost last time." Referring to Ram's battle in a previous time loop. This took place off screen, so it's a question, but probably yes. It is very likely that Ram lost to Garfiel when he was transformed and raging out. One thing mentioned in the wiki is that Garfiel is not conscious when he's in full beast mode, not in higher consciousness at least. In reality, Garfiel would never kill someone he deems weaker than him, but I know what you're about to say: "Garfiel was ripping the Arlen townsfolk and cut Otto in two during one time loop." Again, he was fully transformed and not actively making conscious choices then. Garfiel WILL hulk out if that's the only way he can succeed as he views killing anyone in that stage as being justifiable.... Yeah, I'm with most people on this in saying it's a crap excuse and that he's still responsible even if he would be unable to remember doing it (agian, the wiki implies this to be the case. The similarities between Marvel Comic's Hulk and Garfiel are very similar in this regard, though even the comic book version of the Hulk wouldn't willingly murder somebody). As to why Ram was able to go up against Garfiel and not get killed, you have to look at Otto's "battle" with Garfiel as being a war of attrition. Both Ram and Otto knew they could never just defeat Garfiel in a straight battle, so they devised this plan to have Otto annoy him first. During the whole exchange between Garfiel and Otto, Garf never really lost his temper because he kept underestimating Otto (aka, didn't see him as a serious threat). It wasn't until after he had finally run down Otto that his respect for our favorite merchant grew enough to recognize him as a worthy opponent. Of course at that time Otto was spent, having run Garfiel around in circles and trying to keep ahead of him until it was Ram's turn. Even then, Otto backed Ram by flashing the stone he stole from Garfiel before the giant tiger could seriously hurt Ram. At the time, Garfiel had enough of their bullshit and was in full beast mode, meaning he didn't care if he killed them so long as it was the beast and not himself. Again, bullshit reasoning, but that's what Garfiel considered. What he didn't consider was that Otto and Ram knew that he'd be out of control with rage and knew how to keep him changing his target, keeping him from landing a decisive blow against either of them. You seemed to forget about last season's last episode where Otto offered Subaru a chance to catch up to Emilia in order to save her from the explosive mana crystals set in her carriage. Otto demonstrated his power then, but it was deliberately underplayed in order to keep the tension up after defeating Petelguese with Julius. Subaru remarked on how amazing his ability was in that scene and there was a brief back and forth about how his divine blessing worked. Otto was using his ability to communicate with the animals and insects to learn the fastest way through the forest in order to close the distance so Subaru could get to Emilia in time. Hope that clears things up a bit for you.

Does it though? *Does it though*? Kirito is still op as hell to the point they had to take him out for an entire arc and when he comes back like a literal savior he wins instantly due to being op. They still have constant unnecessary r*pe/SA scenes. None of the characters have any better motivations or arcs than the first season. I genuinely don't know how people can claim Alicization arcs are better when it's exactly the same; like Alicization basically existed as an excuse to redo the core idea of SAO as a soft reboot and the author had every opportunity to fix the mistakes he made in the first place and then still somehow managed to change absolutely nothing.

The only thing I can say for future shows is: Don't watch only shows from the same genre. Give every genre a chance. Maybe you will find some minor theme that could interest you. A lot of reactors just watch mainstream stuff or one genre (like shounen). I personally think that's a shame but in the end, it's not my choice. ^.^

Not to hate on the shounen shows, I enjoy plenty of those, but it might be nice to include some seinen in the mix. I'd enjoy Luke reacting to something like Psycho Pass, Jormungand or Black Lagoon or go all the way to horror with Another. Although those may be better fit to take over the Parasyte slot.

From the list I really enjoy Overlord and Demon Slayer From a reaction perspective in the next anime season (not the winter season that just started but the spring season in roughly 3 months) the new season of demon slayer will come out. Its a really popular show so I am guessing the sooner you react to it and the closer you can react to the episodes actually coming out the better it will do for your channel. Thats just a quick different take on this ^^

I'll give you animation and music, but never found myself caring much abumoit characters or story. I find Zenitsu and boar guy to be boring and annoying. Zenitsu was so hyped up before I started it few years back when only season 1 was out, but then I became disappointed. I heard Entertainment Disreict was amazing, but didn't care for it much. Haven't seen Sword Smith arc but head it's amazing too, but I don't have high hopes.

The way we operate here by Luke's main wish is majority rule. Mainstream will steer the ship most of the time since it's mainstream, it's just common sense. I do agree other genres being explored would be nice, and we have had many genres so far. He's seen close to 40 anime. The thing with "shounen" is it's just more specifically targetted to men and the thing is most of the viewerbase and anime fans are male so it naturally wins polls. We've had softer stuff like violet evergarden, your name, eat your pancreas, silent voice, but those were on twitch x

The thing is with your list is that alot of the shows you chose are popular shows, but they have alot of big issues. My hero academia's first two seasons are amazing, and then the next four seasons sharply just kick the viewers in the dick. It's not super great. SAO has more rape scenes than I have fingers to count them, and the story after the first 12 episodes also sharply drops off, too. Demon slayer is good, animation wise, and the story does what it needs to, but it's not really much more than a turn your brain off shounen with simple enough characters and plot to boot. Mob Psycho in my opinion is probably the best show on the list. Mob psycho is one of the best anime of all time, written by ONE, the same mangaka of one punch man. You'll have the best time with mob psycho, because alot of the others are just popular, not necessarily great. (Not to say I didn't enjoy them, just that they're not as good as mob.)

I have an especially hard time understanding why SAO is so popular, as indeed ony the 12 first episodes are good. The rest is meh, to say the least (and I don't even care about grape scenes or idk what, I just find the story bad overall). I wonder if Luke has watched (or plan to at some point) Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann ? It's amongst my favorite animes of all time, very unique and well executed.
