PEAKKKK

Rose

Yes peak

Matthew Valentine

Crazy to think that sukuna doing 2-3x what gojo did to jogo in S1E7 is what it took to decisively him.

LuciusArtoriusCastus

As the strongest curse, Jogoat, fought the fraud, the king of curses… he began to open his domain…

Anonymous

Man they crammed so many of my favorite moments in the whole arc in this episode! Especially that little tease at the end!

Mikal Adkins

That was Toji fighting Megumi, not Geto. Lol

Sebastian Stróż

The amount of top tier VAs in JJK is just insane...

Giorno Giovanna

you should react to one piece op 25

LuciusArtoriusCastus

Jogo constantly being used to show us how strong Gojo and Sukuna are 💀 poor guy 😭

Anonymous

I mean ive read the manga I just wanted to see how well this was animated and it was in fact peak

Dethrox

Jogo being a literal measurement stick for the most strongest 😭😭

MWS

Jogo was prepared to die the entire time as long as he could land that one hit and that’s what made him a failure as a curse like sukuna said, he should’ve destroyed everything

BlekDimon

I mean, fair enough, but by my comment I meant that people call literally every anime above average a "peak", just another situation like with "mid" when it loses it's meaning.

Sebastian Stróż

Ok I have to admit, that cliffhanger was perfect.

Vick Ramos

Toji didn't kill himself cause he realized it was Megumi (well partly yes) he killed himself because he was glad that his son wasn’t sold to the Zen'in clan and he still had the fushiguro family name

Gavin Wong

Hi you keep mentioning geto when he’s toji😂

Some0neElse

"did bro really think he had a chance?" Remember in S1 he was said to be around 10 fingers strong and he estimates that Itadori has eaten around 15 fingers so hes like "i might have a chance of surviving"

Arcade'owy Łowca

People who've not read the manga: "This episode was crazy! What the hell is this ending?" People who read manga: "What da hail, such a nasty ending, That's a freakin BOB OMG, this will be epic!"

Liasun

An absolutely peak episode. Pure perfection start to end. The chill that ran up my spine when your hear sukuna laughing. Just pure insanity.

Frentzy

9:40, it's luke's REAL VOICE, #exposed.

MWS

Jogo views curses as true humans because curses are true to their nature, humans deceive themselves and others but curses are true to who they are from birth Ironically, by wanting to be human Jogo forsook his existence as a curse and therefore was a failure

Juho Kaartoaho

I would say tho that he killed himself to protect Megumi from himself since even tho Toji had some control he seemed to be still on autopilot to kill strong enemys. My guess would be that that fight and being so close face to face reminded him of Megumin and once he knew his name Toji was proud of what he had become/achieved so far.

Frentzy

It's the hype mentality and most normies are into anime because of the fighting. That's literally the reason I started anime 11y ago. In movies you can't get ultra realistic 500 million dollar budget fights. Avatar is the only one that Ok I won't gonna lie is the first and kinda the only movie that impressed me to a level similar to what anime can do. and that movie was like 460 million dollar. So ofc it's gonna be hype XD. We all are simple minded, peak = fighting. That's why best scene ever in naruto shippuden is episode where madara fights 1000 shinobi ninjas scene. That was PEAK naruto.

Sai

@Juho Kaartoaho If you gotta be wrong, you better be confidently wrong.

Dethrox

Jogo never had to win.. :DD just land a single hit.. :D he could stratch him for all he cared.. xD but yeah.. not happening.. i doubt he would scratch him even if he destroyed everything like Sukuna was implying

Giorno Giovanna

you should also react to Tokyo Ghoul ed 4 it's beautiful in my opinion

Dominique

What happened there? No! had me cracking up at the end

NicksKicks

Lol it’s been said but TOJI not Geto. Toji killed himself upon realizing that is his son and if he didn’t kill himself, he’d still be attacking his kid who kept his mothers name and not HIS clan last name. The voice saying “take care of megumi” I believe is supposed to be mamaFushi.

PriestOfThighs

cant believe people didnt like the animation absolutely baffling

MIce1987

This IS cinema!

BlekDimon

I also like action and I understand that many people watch this medium just because it makes fights nothing like in live action movie. It's my most watched genre with 230 anime on the count, almost half of the things I watched, but still, I just can't quite understand that mentality with all the hype and calling everything "peak".

TOMfoolery

I love the contrast between how Gojo and Sukuna treated Jogo. Gojo said "I'll be fine, after all: You're weak" and Sukuna already killed him but said that he should be proud of himself for being strong. It even made Jogo shed a tear for finally having his strength acknowledged by someone. I love villains who can show respect for their opponent.

GhostZethAaa

I can't wait until next week for you to meet Bob (giant stumpy monster at the end).

Karen Porter

I'm sitting here crying of laughter because Luke can't keep character names straight.

2023-11-10 00:59:00 I believe volcano curse did say what he meant by true human when he was introduced. Why curses are better, because they are 100% honest to themselves and about themselves. We humans are complicated, we lie, we pretend, etc. So without these, we would be "perfect". Ofc curses are only perfect in a sense that is wrong to us. So it shouldn't be a future revelation. (I might be remembering all this completely wrong)

I think Jogo didn't have a much of choice. You are saying he chose wrong to take wager of landing a hit on Sukuna. What would happen if he declined the offer? I am 99% sure Sukuna would have killed him then and there. With this he had 0.0001% chance, instead of 0%. At least he could go and die proud.

ArtKi

Remember back 20-30 years ago when we all thought Mahito vs MechaMaru was the best fight.

Yula

Your reaction is sooo fun to watch. I have to wait for 2 years to watch the season 2 and to see Gojo unsealed. You are so darnn luckkkkyyy. Boyy you haven’t even seen the manga.

Nathan Mathews

If you've seen any shonen series you should understand that any good writer (which this author has proved himself to be) abuses the fuck out of Chekov's Gun. It's an analogy that any detail or plot point set up is a promise to the audience that "The gun will fire." Attack on Titan is the perfect example of Chekov's Gun being used to it's fullest extent. I wouldn't say Gojo's unsealing is a spoiler because it is obvious to EVENTUALLY come out. But I understand why you would think it is and I do think it is best to not comment on the manga.

Jogo's goal have already been explained fully since his first appearance in season 1, and the reason sukuna said he won't reveal his technique is because in the battle of sorcers explaining your technique to your opponent makes it more easier to produce the result of your technique, cuz human brain will predict whats coming next if they are already imagining in their head, like the famous experiment of hitting a fake hand with a hammer.

SkyMina

Curse born from negative human emotions, so technically the curses are the true human in terms of emotions. This is also why Geto want to kill all human, to end the curse cycle since sorcerer can control their curse energy.

yuzu hibiki

Sukuna didn't actually said those words thou, it was just his imagination

yuzu hibiki

As someone that NEEDS to hear the opening before watching the episode, i always play it on youtube when you skip. It really adds to the watching experience especially after last episode. I think anyone would be confused if the person that was trying to kill you suddenly asked your name and killed himself lmao.

yuzu hibiki

also world trigger op and ed reaction pls

Lv6 Esper

I love how early on he couldn't remember Geto's name, and now he knows the name Geto but it's not for the right person.

Andoryuu

The thing about revealing a technique is more like if someone told you they are gonna throw a right hook and then they still hit you with it. It would probably hurt you more, in more ways than just physical.

TOMfoolery

In the manga it's made more clear that Sukuna actually said those words to Jogo's burning corpse. He heard it as he was dying

syaimaral

guy turned into a raving lunatic. I thought he was gonna punch the monitor. the true human thing is because humans like to hide their emotions like a mask so they are not 100% real with each other. Curses are the embodiment of those emotions so they are made up of the purest essence of what makes up a human. Without all the self censorship.

Matthew Valentine

love how both yuji and fushi had a "if i mess up the timing, I'm dead" moment after they both split up

Rodrigo Flamenco

Geto = Guy with stitches in the head who's guarding Gojo Toji = Fushiguro's dad.

Barry

It just hammers home that Gojo is on another level.

AnimeGT3 .

Welcome to nearly Dragonball z kind of destruction level xD

LuciusArtoriusCastus

The reason is because Gojo compares everyone to himself, even him calling Jogo weak was just a response to Jogo calling him a fool for bringing yuji to watch. Whereas Sukuna doesn’t even bother compare Jogo to himself and instead compares Jogo to his past opponents and says that Jogo wasn’t so bad and he should be proud. This also goes back to what he told Jogo as he was dying, that comparing yourselves among other curses and sorcerers is what hinders them, Sukuna doesn’t bother comparing Jogo to himself. It’s interesting to see the difference in mentality between the two strongest characters in the verse.

Shuckleknuckles

It technically would be petty for Sukuna to reveal his technique cus in JJK it actually strengthens the technique when its revealed, the more details the more powerful the buff even works with Toji's heavenly pact of having no cursed energy but insane abs... i mean physical prowess.

JonJon's Kooky Quest

Toji realized that it was his son when his foot (and some of the bunnies) disappeared into the shadows in the ground when he went to stab Megumi. That’s why there was the flashback of Toji telling Old Man Freeze Frame (head of the Zenin family) that he’d sell Megumi to him if Megumi grew up to have that exact ability - Ten Shadows. It’s possible that Toji, being a complete outcast from the Zenin clan due to being born the way he was (same thing happening for Maki), never knew all of the details of the Technique (like what his son would be able to summon) OR he could’ve made himself forget everything just like how he purposefully distanced himself from his son to the point of forgetting his first name. Also, Megumi going by Fushiguro (his mom’s last name) instead of Zenin lets Toji know that his son has been able to escape joining the Zenin clan up to this point. It lets Toji know that Gojo stopped the clan (that treated Toji like shit) from taking Toji’s kid like he originally had planned because he ultimately thought it would’ve been better for Megumi at the time.

The Pots

Luke, if you don't remember. those group that are following Geto along with Mimiko and Nanako that were already dead is Geto's "family" in JJK 0 movie the most memorable characters from those group is the woman (she took a pic with Geto in the movie) and Larue (the naked guy with heart nipples. and he was also along with Mimiko and Nanako in the huge bird in JJK 0 when Geto met Yuta for the first time)

The Pots

bruh, Luke is downplaying Jogo fr. he's one of the strongest curses in this series and the reason it's not seen that much cuz he's very unlucky to fight only the strongest characters (Gojo and Sukuna) if there's no Gojo or Sukuna, he would fr kill almost everyone in this series

Thanny

10:00 You really are terrible at names. First, pretty much all orientals put family name first, then given name. The guy with no cursed energy is Toji, who was born into the Zen'in clan. So his name at birth was Zen'in Toji. He hated his family, for probably many of the same reasons that Maki does. So he took his wife's name Fushiguro. This is not uncommon in oriental cultures, either, especially when a man marries into a prestigious family. So he became Fushiguro Toji. His son was named Fushiguro Megumi, which is a very strange name for a boy (brought up at one point in season 1). Toji had decided at some point to become basically a nihilist, and that lead him to sell his son to the Zen'in clan, based on the latter's innate talents in jujutsu sorcery. After losing to Gojo Satoru, he mentioned this arrangement, clearly with the dying hope that his son would not be sold to the Zen'in clan after all. During that last direct clash, Toji realized who Megumi was, prompting his question about his name. In oriental culture, when asked your name, it's the family name. So his son's name was Fushiguro Megumi, as he was at birth, and not Zen'in Megumi, as he would be if he were at some point sold to the Zen'in clan. Toji was glad that didn't happen. He then killed himself to put an end to his bizarre resurrection, before he killed his own son.

Thanny

Oh, and do yourself a favor. Keep a notebook for each anime and jot the names down with a description. That will help you avoid fumbling over names so much, if you glance over the name list before starting each episode. It will help you avoid confusion, too, where the names themselves are the important data points, such as in this episode here.

Fahed JKR

so good

John Romero

One thing I really like about JJK taking the "character monologues about their ability" trope and making it a real part of its power system, is that it creates another layer of strategy and mind games for the sorcerers/curses. They have to determine when to keep their technique a secret for the element of surprise, or when to reveal their technique for a power boost. Like Todo in the fight against Hanami in season 1.
