As much as I love Code geass, I still want Bocchi next. Aside from simply wanting to rewatch Bocchi slightly more, there is also the fact that Bocchi is only 12 episodes, so I'd get Code Geass sooner after than I would get Bocchi if it was the other way around

I prefer Code Geass over Goblin Slayer since it's a wrapped-up story. The one thing about Goblin Slayer is the first episode is brutal in more ways than gore, Twitch might have a problem with it, so if you do watch Goblin Slayer you may have to consider making it Patreon only or at least blur out the beginning mins of episode 1 on stream.

100% Code Geass. Goblin Slayer honestly is just an alright show. I have yet to catch up on season 2, but season 1 was kind of a drag to get through for me anyway. Code Geass has it's slow moments but even those are wholesome and add more to character development. Really hope most of the crowd agrees on this and chooses Geass first.

It really should be code geass because it's actually complete and we KNOW it's good. Let's be honest, most people want GS for 1 scene mostly. Otherwise it's an average to above average show so far. We don't know if it ends up garbage or incomplete. I currently watch btw.

I only know from the novels. In them this scene is 2-3 years after she left Rudy. He wanders the north in deep depression trying to die from monsters. This happens when he starts to heal.

The flash back that the demon lord saw with her demon eye was described to Roxy, not Rudeus. I think Rudeus have not gotten the message yet? Thats why he is doing the spread the word around approach. Doing small/ short jobs for bunch of people builds a wider net than staying constantly with 1 party. He broken state had been portrayed since the end of last season, so the matter is more emotional damage, thats why you see he is unable to build relationship with others for now. It will get a better focus in next episodes.....

Rudy still believes that Eris left him because he did something wrong or he didn't preform well he feels immensely betrayed that's why Rudy seems so down. And with counter arrow showing that they respect him and need him they're just like eris again feeling needed again gives him purpose again to continue on.

It's so refreshing to see people actually apologise for their faults and not even after much time. All we've seen is people not acknowledging their faults or only doing so after a hard talking-to or long time, it's nice to see Suzanne or Soldat apologise immediately after mistreating someone (well not everyone)

Honest opinion, even though I hate it. See I really want you to watch Code Geass next out of pure selfishness, but it shouldn't be a Patreon exclusive, it doesn't have excessively adult restricted scenes like Mushoku Tensei or Goblin Slayer has, so if you're looking for a show that just can't be watched on Youtube, it's gonna be Goblin Slayer. But Code Geass is far superior to Goblin Slayer, seeing as it's a finished story. Bocchi The Rock is great too, but that should be a twitch or youtube show, unless it's got crazy copyright problems because it's got a lot of music in the show, I'm not sure, I'm not a lawyer, or content creator. In my opinion, Re:Zero should not have been your next YT show, it shoulda been Code Geass. But if it being patreon exclusive is what it takes to get you to watch Code Geass, so be it.

Keep in mind Rudy has always been pretty fit. He was raised by a swordsman who practiced every day, and then he had a whole stint surviving the demon continent for years. But he's got his teenage hormones working for him now too and with his continued training it has obvious payoffs

I'd say goblin slayer as it's shorter and you can then jump back into mushoku tensei, other than that bocchi, bocchi should have gotten anime if the year but due to them not allowing the last season of the year into that years awards it couldn't be done, if your a music fan it has so many references to music and art in general

Rudy got burned really bad when Eris just left from his life and he has been depressed since. That look when he saw his party disappeared with the snow drakes surrounding him was like "oh I'm alone again." In his case, the party did end up coming back for him. There are times in life when you need support, but the only one you can rely on is yourself. Rudy has the new party. However he probably doesn't feel comfortable opening up to them about his troubles even though they are the closest thing to a support group he has atm. In his eyes, it's not really an option. This episode did a good job of showcasing what CAN help you break out of a depression spiral. Helping out others and earning their gratitude will lift you up as well. It will give you back your purpose in life when you are lost.

After eris and Ruijerd left all the money they made was with Rudy, he was the best if them on how to spend and calculate the math. So he was in charge of it. So when they left all that money was still with him, he didn't need the money, he could live comfortably off that money for a year or so, that's why he can turn down money just to spread his name, also healing magic requires physical contact, so he could see everything, but I agree with why they changed it. It'll be tough to get away with that even in this show. The pillar in the opening was a monument to get rid of the snow mana red into it heats up the circle, so he did that and melted the snow so much faster than it normally takes. The fight with the tree (treant) was longer it was detailed that the tree fought in a attack rotation, branch whip, ice block slam and repeat. So he broke off a a few branches and it stopped attacking as it couldn't attack in the rotation it was doing. Elder treants can use magic, most just use their branches to attack animals and. Things wondering by. Not many adventures would ever think of using a bow, because you have limited ammo, but it's mentioned sara is very gifted with it. If you look back at when you first met Ruijerd you see him with a branch that looks like it has hands, it's a treant that he used to make fire, he killed a tree monster. The ruins were made by a demon king who made tunnels underground all over the place, so much only the designer knew how to get around, you can get lost in there so easily, it was made.during the human demon war. He dug tunnels all over the country and it's how the demons attacked so well they were underground doing suprise attacks. Rudy forced Sara to get back even though she walked in pain because he knew Timothy and the gang would head out to go look for her and they could get in danger. So he knew if he didn't make her keep going he would miss them and they could have died. That's all there is. And yes he changed the weather (which Roxy said is dangerous) just so he could walk around with vidability.

Keep in mind at this time Rudy doesnt really know where his mother is or who is holding her, whats her condition, how strong will his opponents be. Best he could do is build a network of adventurers who will feed him bits of information and when he is ready he can go get her.

Rudy has no idea where his mother is. At the end of last season, we saw the Demon Girl give that information to Roxy (and by extension Elinalise and Talhand, the elf girl and the dwarf).

I think Code Geass could go on youtube. It has only 2 or 3 scenes showing nudity and does not have much sexual themes overall outside of those, so it would be easy to edit them out or censor them for youtube. I feel like every time I look at the comments Bocchi has the most comments asking for it, and has at least one comment that is upvoted just as much as the highest upvoted Code Geass and Goblin Slayer comments. Goblin slayer is a good show, but there is a reason why Code Geass is considered a classic. It's not just good... It's amazing. I would definitly recommend Code Geass to replace Mushoku Tensei when the time comes. at least that's my opinion.

Bocchi the Rock should definitely be seen. I haven't watched Code Geass yet so I can't comment on it but I'd be down to watch it fresh with you. But I love Bocchi so much, it's nothing but wholesome fun and quite unique stylistically. I've watched it 5 times probably and always there's some little hilarious detail I notice that I'd missed. 😂

Why Rudeus is called "Quagmire": Rudy often teams up with parties he hasn't worked with before and is therefore not well acquainted with their fighting style. Because of that his default Strategy is to slow groups of monsters down by turning the ground into deep mud using earth magic, while the rest of the party pummels the monsters with AOE. Because that spell Rudeus uses is called Quagmire and because Rudy's Quagmire spans a much larger area and is much more effective at slowing monsters down than when most other mages use the spell, everyone assumes that Quagmire is Rudeus' speciality and it sort of became his signature spell.

I would say Bocchi the Rock should be next for couple of reasons. First of all its super short so can be a quick filler and a change of pace. 2nd of all it's an music anime so defo something you are interested in. But if we need to choose between CG and GS then I would defo vote GS. After that I'm all game for a longer and more serious anime!

You were left with some questions because they rushed through about half a book to fit in 1 episode when most take 3 episodes to do. The tree was a dangerous treant that uses ice magic and is really sturdy. We missed most of the fight scene with it

I haven't watched Goblin Slayer myself, but the only good thing I've heard about it is the shock value of episode 1. Other than that, I've just seen people say that the rest of the show is "kinda good" or "mid". I haven't watched Code Geass either, but I've heard nothing but praise for it, so it's probably a good choice. My vote would still go for Bocchi though. It's genuinely a great show and I think you would like it a lot. Also, since it's short, you could get it watched and start the next show pretty quickly, compared to a longer show like Code Geass, or a show with multiple seasons like Goblin Slayer.

They mentioned earlier that it would take a year travel for Rudy to get to where his mom was last seen and winter was coming so he decided to take the winter to earn money for travel and get his name out so people would know where he was to share information if there were any updates. Presumably after winter he'll continue to towards the last sighting and have enough money to pay for boats/wagons to make the trip faster. Doesn't really matter how good he is in a fight now. He still has to walk across a continent.

Once more, my vote is 100% for Code Geass. Bocchi is a really good one, but it's Slice of Life rather than Action/Adventure, so I feel like it doesn't quite fit as a follow-up to Mushoku Tensei. Goblin Slayer is a fun, violent romp, but not really complex from a worldbuilding point of view. Code Geass has an even more fascinating and complex world than Mushoku Tensei (which is saying A LOT), better action than Mushoku Tensei (in my oppinion, others may argue otherwise) and more of it besides, and beautifully complex plots and characters. Also, Code Geass has fanservice. Like, some really good fanservice. Just sayin'.

Goblin Slayer Season 2 will be finished before he would even start S2. Luke is has watched up through ep 3(to be posed on Sat) of MT, that leaves 10 more episodes, or 5 weeks to finish. Goblin Slayer S2 will finish in 7 weeks (5 of 12 eps already aired) So if Luke starts Goblin Slayer after MT, Goblin Slayer S2 will be done when he gets through episode 4 of season 1.

Rudy still struggles with self confidence a lot, particularly since the encounter with Orsted and Eris leaving. He also spent a couple of years seeing Eris progress a lot due to practice with Rujierd, while he had to practice alone. It explains why he doubts his ability a lot, even if it comes out when he really tries.

Goblin Slayer is good but not as good as Code Geass. The Goblin slayer anime is only 12 episode and the season 2 still running today. Goblin Slayer is great but Code Geass will blow your mind :D

Rudy didn't get a clue to where his mom is, that was Roxy. As far as Rudy knows her location has been narrowed down to the whole damn world. So yeah, probably more efficient to build a network of people listening out for info. And the easiest way to work with a lot of people is to undersell his abilities, metaphorically and literally. He works with big groups on missions he could handle solo, but offers his services dirt cheap so no one thinks it wouldn't be worth bringing him along while he downplays himself

This is never explained in the anime though it is in the novels but, to be honest Rudy not doing well in a physical fight more often then not especially against veteran fighters is due to a thing called "Haki". It's the reason why a small girl like Eris at the age of 12 could kill something huge like that Red Viper. "Haki" is an invisible shield of sorts that fighters are able to cloak themselves in, allowing them to do more damage and take less damage. Why do you think Galius that North Saint didn't die yet he took a huge Rudy special fireball to the face? It wasn't because Rudy was holding back that's for sure. Rudy personally can't use haki, he has tried it seems like due to him being from another world doesn't allow him to use it at all.

At this point in the story/anime the reason Rudy is half assing everything is because he is trying to figure out what he needs to do vs what he wants to do. He was basically stuck at a crossroad does he go left and start all over make a new name for himself and leave everything behind. Or does he go right and go back to what he knows. Go back to trying to find his family, go back to living with Eris leaving him. Also all the hurdles that path has already taken him through are only going to get harder. In actuality he need/needs to find the path that can do both. A path that he can move forward with a fresh mindset but also a path that does not let him forget what he has been through. To keep him going till he gets everything back and more.

It would be more succinct to call him their cleric then mage he never cast any attack spells, only healing wielded a one handed mace and did a fair bit of physical attacking.

Regarding the tree...Well a lot of this chapter was cut out. The tree is an "Icefall Treant", its a variant of Treant that are common in most regions. This one was huge. They're generally weak, but the ones that live a long time are very sturdy and some are capable of casting magic. This one could cast water magic (those ice blocks it launched) They really slimmed down this entire interaction in the Anime. It was a bigger deal in the Light Novel, and Rudeus even struggled to take it on. Because the Treant was so massive, and infused its body in ice, Rudeus's strongest Stone Canon couldn't even leave a dent in it. It was only until he realized the Treant didn't have much intelligence and could only attack in the same predictable manner, that they kind of stale-mated. Rudeus noticed Sara in its trunk, ripped her out and the Treant just kinda gave up.

Main problem is that you are not understanding the character. You are just viewing characters (like Rudeus) as action heroes, completely ignoring their struggles. Like at the end you are calling him emotionally strange and stuff, while forgetting that he thinks heve been dumped by the girl with whom he spent 7 years of his life.
