the biggest I can think of beside mushoku tensei is Neon Genesis Evangelion, rest (elfen lied and so on) I think are 'big' but not as big. Mushoku tensei is a top 100 anime, the rest what people suggest are NOT top100 (only in popularity). So you probably should pick the one that is highest score in terms of score and popularity (based on myanimelist).

I agree that the "cheekiness" is an important aspect of Rudeus's character. The mind-warping affects of sexual addiction and the social/emotional wounds that fuel it are a topic society loves to thoroughly ignore and then shun when ignorance becomes impossible. HOWEVER, the author still could have been more mature in his approach. If the story wants to portray a serious problem, it shouldn't also be presented to the audience as appealing or humorous. Maybe it's less in-your-face and more in-Rudeus's-head in the web/light novels -- I don't know yet -- but in the anime at least there could have been more effort put into maintaining a consistent narrative tone of "this is actually a problem Rudeus needs to overcome."

@Mokinata I don't see a problem here. Everything the og post mentions is in the episode, the near-misses are a important to the audience (not hidden), and the Rudeus specifically thinks about trust issues with Man-God during the episode as well. These are things any audience member might notice on a first or second watch.

You won't find another patreon exclusive as big as Mushoku Tensei, not when considering just how popular it is, especially with reactions. It's up there with other big isekais like Re:zero, Overlord, and Slime in terms of views on reactions, maybe even higher depending on where you look. From what I can tell, they're only really beaten by recent popular shounen anime (like JJK, DS, and maybe SxF and CsM) and the biggest of the biggest anime (Aot, DN, and FMAB)

Heavenly Delusion would be a great replacement, although only 12 episodes out so far. One of the best recent anime, with great mystery and almost movie quality animation. It's also a great example of "show don't tell", and there's definitely some stuff that make it not suitable for Youtube or Twitch.

I don't remember whether Code Geass needs to be a patreon only or not, but it's definitely bigger than Mushoku Tensei and it's great. I feel like it has one of the best endings in anime history (if you don't watch any movies).

I don't think there is another show that is on the same level as Mushoku Tensei in terms of viewership other than Re Zero, which you were going to do on Youtube. Overlord probably comes the closest after that. I still think that the 1997 Berserk anime would be perfect for Patreon. Gurren Lagann would also be amazing. Both of those shows are very well known classics that have large fanbases. It's just hard to beat Mushoku Tensei since it is currently airing so it's at peak interest levels.

You already met Kishirika Kishirisu at the end of ep 8, as well as other characters (just saying...), at the time of the teleportation incident. The voice actress is Yuka Iguchi, while Faputa (MiA) / Frederica (86) are voiced by Misaki Kuno (who declared that Faputa was the most intense and difficult performance of her career. She even lost her voice during a recording session). For the next anime, don't focuse on sus or mature content to be an patreon exclusive. Sus/Mature that doesn't fit to YT/twitch + Popular + Excellent quality...there aren't many anime matching to all these criteria. Choosing great animes is the most important. For example, Bocchi The Rock could be a good choice for you. Really great anime. 12 ep long. It's about music (and copyright issues on youtube). If you wants popular anime...-the very overratted- Demon Slayer is the best choice.

black lagoon dubbed (the only way to watch it) would be a great patreon exclusive, the crude voice acting and themes make it questionable for twitch so it suits being on patreon, lets just say it couldn't release today without controversy

Luke, being a Demon Emperor in this world dont mean you're a demon that have an empire. Demon Emperor is a title like roxy's but for demon instead of water mage and its a true "big deal". You can think that an Eperor rank person has the same strategic value as an entire army, easily. edit: About the dont meeting roxy thing, most people wont even link it to its reason when it comes and it is yet to come. Last time i checked, even the manga wasnt in the part yet. Just know it makes sense, also A LOT of things that seems random are actually not random, we just dont know the real plot yet. But the anime will probably adapt all light novel volumes, may take some years, though. Plus, the moment i read that chapter of the light novel, mushoku became my top 2 fav, only losing for AoT.

and yeah K-On vs BTR is basically that, K-On leans heavily towards the SoL type more than music, although the music is great in it. I'll say the highlight of K-On is clearly the second half of s2 for me, as well as the movie. But as a music anime BTR is superior, the two are similar but different

It has highly suggestive content without actually crossing the line into full nudity and sex, and is probably one of the funniest, awkward, and most tension-filled things I have ever watched. It is impossible to watch with a straight face. You, your audience, all of us... are doomed to cringe in shock and second-hand embarrassment.

Love seeing your reactions to possibly my favorite show! Alongside with new episodes coming out Sundays. As for a next show to react to, I would vote highly against Goblin Slayer, did not enjoy it at all. However, out of the ones you listed, Evangelion would be a good one!

if Rudy hadn't stopped to listen to that elf getting railed he would have bumped right into Roxy, which was probably the man-god's intention since he wanted to reward him for being so entertaining. instead he met little miss demon emperor and provided more entertainment. :D

I really like that you're open minded enough to accept the "cheekiness" as part of what builds the world and the characters. I think the reason a lot of people say to overlook it is because so many people can't see past it and judge the series as too disgusting/cringe to like despite all the other stuff it brings to the table. The animation is master tier. Every scenery shot is a piece of art. All characters grow naturally as time goes on in the show. The magic system is cool. The world is big and diverse, with different cultures, architecture and people. The OST is awesome, iirc each continent/area has it's own opening in Season 1. They're similar but when you compare them to each other you can easily notice the changes and sorta how they fit the new culture of the place they're in. It works especially well with the way they do the openings too, giving you a nice look into the everyday life of the people as they tour you through their morning routine sorta.

The thing about the party formally known as Black Fang (Pauls' party) is all of its members are societal rejects except for Zenith. Tallhand was thrown out of his people for being gay which is not allowed in Dwarven society and Ellenilise well she has a problem obviously. Though for her there is an actual method to her particular madness but it is a spoiler you have to wait for season 2 to get (though even when they explain it in season 2 they don't do a good job of actually explaining it).

Just so you know, not a spoiler: Eris doesn't see herself measuring up to Rudy at all. She knows that if he wasn't there, she'd be dead one way or another. Just like with the kidnapping issue she sees this "younger friend" as way ahead of her, like hes a year younger, but her teacher, able to "tame and befriend a superd", capable of magic that even OLD MEN MAGES can't account for, comes up with master plans to make sure they eat, have bed, get home, can talk to adults on equal footing since day 1. And even with all his power, doesn't have to result to violence to be heard/ taken seriously. Rudy is "Him" to her and she really doesn't want to be left behind, hell she hates that she's not ahead. So when she beats Rudjerd she think's she's finally making progress, but Rudy gets an eye and leapfrogs ahead again, I mean of course that would happen, he's "Him" after all ... its like Vegeta and Goku and she's very bothered by that. IF you stuck through this comment, please remember it later. This reasoning of hers will change the dynamics of their party later.

The Demon Empress is an odd character. She really is Emperor rank, she is just.... not super bright. Imagine what an immortal that can hand out super powered eyes to any1 she wants could accomplish. Every demon eye originates from her even if she doesn't physically grant them. She could even use the eyes herself.

@_TKD_ - Bocchi leans into the music more than K-On. K-On is more about the relationships between the MCs. K-On is very much SOL with music. S2 is better than S1 - possibly because you've got to know the characters so well by then. I defy anyone to watch both seasons and then not cry at the end when it finally comes to graduation and the parting of ways. I can't watch an episode of K-On without ending up with a big stupid grin on my face.

Kishirika Kishirisu, The demon empress, Isn't really a combat strong char in the series. She's powerful but in the sense that she can use give her demon eyes to anyone and is immortal. The reason why she called Rudeus Disgusting after changing her eyes was because of the amount of mana he has which was even more than the demon god laplace. (These are information that wasn't mention clearly in the anime but was mention explicitly in the web and light novel) it was also why the white mask guy attacked him before the mana teleportation disaster because he thought he was the one responsible

Actually, Man-God is doing everything he can to keep Rudy from reuniting with Roxy. If he hadn't told Rudy to go buy food and wander the backstreets, he would have stayed with Ruijerd and Eris during their training, and would have met Roxy then. Man-God is the reason Rudy and Roxy keeps missing each other.

I don't want to spoil anything, but for the sake of lessening your annoyance (in great hindsight at least),... What if I told you it's no accident that Roxy just keeps missing Rudeus here? That there's a *reason* they fail to bump into each other? Would that make it less of a nuisance and more of a mystery to you?

To be fair, the scenes with Roxy being so close to Rudeus are complete filler. They were in the same city, but they weren't that close ever. Roxy did see Ruijerd & Eris. But the scenes of her running by Rudeus are not in the Light Novels (source material).
