You're under arrest is one of my all time fave animes. It's funny, cute, wholesome, and outthere. It's a real blast. The dub was so good, the Japanese voice director had the Japanese cast sit down and watch the dub, and told them to sound like the English. and this was some of the top jp voice actors of all time.

Revolutionary Girl Utena is by far my favourite opening from the anime before 2000s. Ngl, but opening was better than the anime itself, you just can't skip it.

It's fun to see the first Rurouni Kenshin anime because we have a reboot right now

Jordan Grinde

I've watched the modern version of the Legend of Galactic Heroes show, the scale of the action as well as the political, tactical, and behind the scenes scheming that happens is worthy of watching.

you talking about Dead or Alive? in that case, yes, there have been made an Animé of that, and yes, it is as you would expect. lots of "physics."

I really like the 90's anime. Style, songs, storyline were really good, especially the seinen ones, they always tended to have a more realistic drawing style.

If you want something fun and happy for a change, watch K-On. BTW - when are you going to react to the K-On EDs?

Ranma1/2 is cute and funny.. Flame of Recca 100% you'll love it. Also where is "yuyu hakusho" and "slamdunk"??

Jeppe Beier

Can easily recommend Ranma ½. It's a mostly lighthearted comedy anime with shonen and romance tropes.

You should DEFINITELY watch Excel Saga. It's a classic comedy anime. Not only have a heard of most of these, I own LASERDISCS of several of these series, or DVD/BluRay (if they exist). I used to have several dozen VHS tapes, but as stuff has moved to digital/disc I've replaced most of them except for a handful of extremely niche titles. I've been into anime since 1988 when we used to trade blank VHS or Beta tapes with return postage to people to be able to watch fansubs (or in raw japanese). A laserdisc player and laserdiscs were a huge investment for anime nerds back in the day. You could drop $100 in 1990s money on 2-4 episodes per disc, and $300+ on special box set OVAs like Green Legend Ran which can with art books, goodies and even a t-shirt.

I would give anything for you to react to Excel Saga, it's like the most absurd anime I've ever seen but it's still amazing.
