I'd disagree that the producer is "so open" about the information. Aqua had to film an entire TV show before he was willing to share. Loving the reactions, and glad you had such a blast with this show. Your journey was really similar to mine when I stumbled on the manga and thought, whatever, I'll read a few chapters of this idol story. Never expected to love it as much as I did even after the shock wore off.

I think the trio of guys in the audience were used as the mouth piece for the general audience sentiment. Both those familiar with B Komachi and those who were not saw potential in them by the end of the performance.

The Anime is very faithful to the manga which did not leave alot of room to have a more impactful ending after already having 11 (13 to be real) episodes unless they were to deviate from the source material. I did enjoy the adaptation. It probably is one of the best manga to anime adaptation i have seen to date and i CANNOT wait until Season 2 comes out. Off topic, i heard that you may start an animelist soonish and would recommend to add some notes to every anime ( i understand not wanting to rate them ), for future you and future viewers.

In my experience, triangles like this are usualy played safe down the middle as to not dissapoint anyone by dissapointing everyone just a little bit. There are exceptions tho and this anime doesnt exactly follow the standard so we Will see

I think you're forgetting that Aqua acted in Love Now in exchange for that information. If the producer didn't tell him it, then he'd be going back on his deal.

Yes, a lot of anime get stage adaptions. Chainsaw Man for example is getting one soon. Or already got one, I haven't been keeping up with it.

sniff. sniff. Smell that? Smells like some JUICY DRAMA in here~ This episode seems like a setup for the next season. I'm really looking forward to a continuation to this show. It's my 2nd favorite this season, followed by the gods/cults in an dystopian world show. That show is just fun and cheeky like slime and konosuba put together. Kana 4eva!!! Let's go!!!!

Not really a spoiler since they decided not to adapt it but if you want an idea of how Ruby and co's performance was received...You see that idol in the very first scene who said she was going to watch them ? In the manga she is so impressed by them that she realizes she cannot compete and basically abandons her career on the spot.

such a good show, watched it with you and loved hearing your thoughts. P.S. there is no official release date for Season 2 but its already in its production phase so it wont be too long. i would predict it may come in the fall anime season. or possibly winter

Major hints in this episode about who the actual villain character is. Just wait until the Movie arc ... things will be very interesting then.

Pretty sure Kaburagi is aware Ai and Aqua were close, even if he does think it's a relationship something like adopted siblings rather than the real thing. They acted together in that one film and the previous manager of Strawberry took Ai in as her guardian, while everyone thinks Aqua is the manager's kid.

at some point i would love it if you would react to tower of god (kami no tou). it's not like other anime's. the source material is a manhwa (korean manga). unfortunately the anime is mid-good, but there's a new season coming out eventually and let me tell you, the anime is the prologue and then the story starts and then it gets OUT OF CONTROL. you got some time though, so feel free to wait on it a little. i'll let you know when you need to start.

That is the same dance to the same song that Aqua and Ruby did as babies. I cannot get over that detail.

The biggest thing about the producer being willing to give Aqua the information is that it falls into the category of trading favors, which he explicitly said is the basis of how casting works in the Japanese entertainment industry. He can trade information which is otherwise worthless to him to Aqua in exchange for getting Aqua to participate in multiple projects at this point. That is free value as far as he is concerned.

Can't just have it end on the performance when there is still an ongoing story to tell. Need to show people that either the anime will be back with more or push them toward the manga, which is far ahead in the story.
