Dororo is definitely amazing. Never watched the original, it's a remake of a very old anime. However, the newer anime version is something quite special! Still hoping we get a second season for it some day...

The first ending is by my favorite band amazarashi. If you wanna listen to some emotional songs with great lyrics, I would always recommend them. But it's definitly worth to have the translation for the lyrics at hand.

The concept for this anime is so unique and crazy. It came out in the 60s and was created by the guy who made Astro Boy. (You can probably see some similarities in the character designs if you look hard enough). It is quite dark, but I bet you would enjoy it. I was about to skip it until a friend recommended it to me. I still have all the OP/ED songs in my main playlist ❤

dororo was released in 2019, you asked why you didn't heard more(2 simple real reasons).. 1st reason It released same time as mob psycho season2 which was a god tier anime , 2nd reason its only on amazon ( crunchyroll and netflix was bigger at the time), so not many watched. It's same as disney heavenly delusion. Both dororo and heavenly delusion +8.20 score, both fantastic, both in jail (a.k.a not in popular anime streaming websites)

BE WARNED: if u do watch this anime, there is an episode past the half way point where mappa did not animate. That episode has crap animation. It is the silk moth episode. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

It's 1000% this. People that watched loved it, but it didn't get as much viewership due to being in jail. And being a bit overshadowed by mob, which is also a god tier anime that should be watched. It probably does place in my top 10. While there are other series that might have a more complicated story or fleshed out world; this was fire all the way through, simple to follow, beautiful animation with a brilliant soundtrack, Mappa just doesn't miss.

Dororo is a bitslept on imo cause it was just kinda thrown on Amazon prime without much pr and it definitely deserves more love. It’s definitely a favourite of mine

And you could add a few of his other songs, if the video is too short with just one. He makes anime rap songs. Has a song about capitan Levi, Eren etc.

Like other comments already said it, original was made in 1969 and remade In 2019, which unironically gives me hopium for some other unfinished/outdated and such shows that could definitely do with a remake since this one got it, only took 50 years but better late than never lmao. Friend recommended me this one and I absolutely loved it, pretty much binge watched it, though after watching first episode, I checked out the original from '69 to compare it, but honestly I swear to all that is holy I couldn't, just couldn't stand it, the animation and voices, I might have liked some 20 years ago when I was a kid, but for life of me I could not sit through it just to compare it with remake. Anyway yeah, highly recommend it. Also........PLEASE REACT TO REST OF MONOGATARI OP/ED'S ALREADY, I cry ;_;

They remade Star Blazers aka Space Battleship Yamato. But it wasn't great. It was pretty good. I watched the original in the early 80s. It's a pretty epic story.
