My oldest is named after one of them, and my youngest just finished the entire series a few days ago. The original anime really got me watching anime series back in the day. *should also watch the orginal early 2000's opening too. That one will always have a special place in my heart.

This is a very well written show, definitely one of my favourites! The openings and endings are all top tier. Also I found it kinda funny that you got the “I heard this before” feeling on the last opening, since I had that too, and to this day I have no idea why!

Definitely check out the endings! And the show itself. These are from the recent reboot; the original was back in the early 2000’s. But I recommend the reboot. It’s for sure a tearjerker, though I’d say it more heals your heart than breaks it, overall. Beautiful, wholesome, light, dark, and poignant. This series is one of my all-time favorites.

The endings are also fantastic. This is one of my top 5 anime. I would LOVE to see you watch this one. So, so good! Loved the original, love the manga, but this reboot is really great. Fruits will definitely give you an emotional workout. Please do consider watching this one! You do a great job of teasing out subtle nuance in shows, I'd love to see you take this ride.

This story has so much pain... The happy looking girl has do little reason to be smiling but she always is. And the others run the gamut from death in the family to full on abuse and manipulation. But it's so good.

Never trust an OP to give you the full vibe of an anime. From the OP’s it appears to be wholesome slice of life/romance anime but it’s actually pretty dark and has many sad, painful moments mixed in with some supernatural elements. Really great show though, you should also react to the endings because they’re great as well

Definitely listen to the endings too! But uh.. wouldn't say it's a happy fun time feel good vibe anime like you think... nearly every episode had me ugly crying (sometimes they were happy tears, but mostly sad tears lmao). Literally listening to these openings had me on the verge of tears just THINKING about the anime. I absolutely adore it, it's my favorite anime.

Love how misleading the openings to this show are. You need the happy openings to prepare you for the dark shit that happens in this show. The show loves to rip you to pieces and then put you back together again... repeat.

FURUBA it's a beautiful but painful roller-coaster, recomend to watch it with a box of tissues. This remake from 2019 has already finished the story. Please react to endings. Please react also to opening and endings from the older (2001) anime. Btw the white-jacket-dude intro is hilarious. For other interesting shojo: - Kamisama hajimemashita/Kamisama Kiss - supernatural rom-com, cute OPs and EDs by Hanae (seams like she did songs only for this anime) - Akatsuki no Yona/Yona of the Dawn - fantasy, from naive princess to fugitive... great 1st OP and 2nd ED - Skip beat! - comedy, main character enters entertainment industry because of revenge - Kimi ni todoke/From me to you - school rom, friendship - Sukitte li na yo/Say you love me - school rom, friendship - Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-Kun/Monthly Girl's Nozaki-Kun - manga creation, school comedy, fun OP -Maid-sama! - school rom com, school prez. works part-time in maid cafe - Ouran High School Host Club - school comedy, plays with clichés/tropes

Oh that reminds me, you definitely have to check out “land of the lustrous” opening(also called “Houseki no kuni”). Very beautiful song. Hidden gem if you will(pun for people that know)

Yes! Fruits Basket was the first manga that I fully read from beaning to end. (That was back on 2008) It quickly became my top favorite shojo. I love this series to death. The original 2001 Feiits basket only got one season and it was never completed. So this is Feuits Basket it’s a recent remake that started on 2019 and it finished in 2021. The anime it’s completed but there is a special episode that hasn’t air yet. It‘a about the backstory to a character. But it was edited out of the main anime. I’m not sure why but I’m glad we are getting more content. Bonus fun fact! Many Jujutsu Kaisen Voice Actors are main characters in fruits basket! You’ll here Gojo, Megumi, Mahito, Geto and other characters as regular humans🤣

Fruits Basket itself is an older series, that like Full Metal Alchemist, had an original anime but it ended abruptly. The openings and endings you're watching here are from the revamped revised anime. Brand new animation, beautifully redesigned characters and a completion and true adaptation to the manga story. It is a beautiful and tragic story with serious emotional pulls but also a lot of laughs. One of my all time favorite "Slice of Life" animes.
