Tyler Rimmel

Some0neElse

2 more isekai animes to watch and we can finally introduce him to Isekai Quartet

Regular Grayzone

The manga/Vnovel I think explains something about her craziness in Ep 2 when she tries to survive until backup arrives. I think it was something about using magic to spike her adrenaline or something like that. She is not in her right mind in her desperate attempt to survive! I could be wrong though

Tsusaku Cohenat

There is one big thing which you probably overlooked. When god tells her, he did blessed the computing jewel and it will work every time she prayed, he as well said, her heart will be filled with faith. The thing is, every time she prays, her mind gets corrupted and it's actually changing her to a believer, slowly, but undeniably. This made the blessing much much more petty, from the god side. He wanted her to believe in him by herself, but now if she wants to live, she will be turned to believer forcefully in the end, if she wants it or not. And she can't do anything against it.

2023-05-21 15:57:31 One thing i like about this show is how different but still good the anime adaptation and light novel source material are. The novel goes a lot deeper into character building and peoples motivation, and drives far harder in the absurdity of war, how it consumes materiel and people, both figuratively and literally. Where as anime has chosen to amp up the action, but still manages to showcase how merciless battlefield can be, even if we're watching the ...right? side. One thing not immediately obvious in anime is how OP and at the same time not, the mages really are. They have a layer of passive defense, can actively block attacks and their firepower has been very well shown. But it's all up to a point. Everything is limited by stamina, which means that mage is a flying fortress of doom, untill he's not and is a very soft human without cover or offense instead. Even when fully powered mages defense can be pierced by high enough calibers, and using the artillery spells takes a long time (Tanya has to pray, but other mages are supposed to take as long if not longer), during which they can be tracked via their mana signature. Thus to counter mages there's heavy anti-air guns, fighters that fly higher and faster than mages, other mages that have more stamina left as well as vehicles that have enough armor to withstand faster spells, and enough firepower to take out a mage preparing the bigger spells. In short, mages are very strong but not the answer to everything, especially considering how rare they are supposed to be. In the light novel Tanya is depicted to be taking advantage of modern day tactical thinking and lessons from, not one but two world wars where both tech and strategy were rapdily advancing, against a world that has not seen a modern war. Mages as a military asset are likewise meant to be a rather new developement, made possible by advancing technology, as they were more limited in what they could do before. Here in anime she just seems innately powerful.

I have watched this anime so many times. Too epic and Tanya is too charismatic to not like her. Most say it’s a good kind of “trash” anime hahah. Straight up entertaining, that’s all. Also, Luke probably haven’t caught it, even with chat’s help, but in this anime, episode two when main character has his monologue with Being X, there’s literally a poster to anime Overlord plastered on one of the walls on the train station. Clever advertisement ;)

Thamor

Dakia fight shows how at start ww1 many literally walked in to machine gun fire in formations, which was quickly learned the hard way is suicide. But people need to understand back then they didn't understand how far technology had progressed from Napoleon wars. Tanya having a flying squad that can literally bombard them from the air is like having 50 helicopters coming at them and mowing them down with missiles and machine gun fire.

2023-05-22 09:45:39 The books this show is based on is quite diffrent from the anime. it's the same story, but the books are mostly in internal monologs. also it's a lot of logistics <3<3

Well, the schrödingers cat -experiment (note: it's a theoretical experiment, not one that is actually performed to illustrate the laws of quantum mechanics) is a bit more complicated, but dumbed down: the main point is the following: the observation of the experiment itself will change the outcome of the experiment. However: in order to know about the outcome of the experiment, you need to observe it.

Adam

This series is weird since the original novel, the manga adaption, and the anime adaption are all fairly different from each other.

Irimu

It's Aoi Yuki, this is a sub show

Kitsune

My nitpick about the art quality in the show is Visha, they butchered her character design in anime compare to the manga and novel artworks. Tanya could look better too but she grows in to you. The sequel is still something to look forward too though

Dj

when you mentioned Chucky, I now think this anime should be renamed to Child's Play, because it is what it is.

James H. Hobbs

You should really take a look at the art style of the manga when you have a chance.

Reennji

Since you're watching Isekais and you've already seen Konosuba and Tanya, you can complete the "quartet" with: Re:Zero Overlord

rostikowb

Good explanation, I didn't know that. By the way, the way the mages were scattered throughout the troops, and the fact that Tanya suggested gathering them into one fist that could quickly attack breaking through the enemy's defense, reminds me of the Second World War, and how France divided all its tanks into the entire army, and the Third Reich gathered them into separate breakout groups by inventing the Blitzkrieg tactic

Tamus Heath

Ah hell yeah! Excellent choice

Frentzy

he would still need to watch first season of shield hero and cautious hero. I know they are "secondary" chars that are introduced in the show but naofumi really has quite a lot of screen time (For a secondary char). And cautious hero just an ep or two max. so ig he can skip that.

Linkster Gaming

this is one of the few shows ive watched in dub. it has a really good one. ready to rewatch it in sub to se how i like it.

noah van den berg

Can you imaginaire the day when he'll finally be ready to experience isekai quartet. Peak crossover

noah van den berg

I just looked up some original art from Visha, and yes, she does look a lot in the LN than in the anime

Jeppe Beier

Schrödinger's cat is probably one of the most misunderstood jokes in the world. Considering the number of people who don't know it was essentially a joke/shitpost by Schrödinger. He was pointing out the absurdity of the Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics at the time.

Terminal

Tanya the Evil, followed by Violet Evergarden?! You are in for a treat! Both of these are so good!

Anonymous

One thing that helps contextualizes some of the Ariel Mages actions (including Tanya) that was cut from the light novels is that when they go into combat they often take combat stimulants that make them more rabid

Gilgabro

I am not sure how much i am allowed to enjoy this considering that i am german

Nathan McCabe

Season two was given a trailer. No video only words on the screen and voices. But it was given a trailer.

Joel Bobosky

At ep 5. This is kinda a WWI and a WWII... It's a war with elements from both. In WWII Poland fielded a Calvary based army against Germany's Tanks... and got steamrolled. Dakia fills that roll here... Aerial Mages are a somewhat recent development and the various militarys just beginning to figure out how to use them effectively. Initially they're just spotters for artillery, or a patrol for countering other mages... Enter Tanya with Modern military tactics. Not that she was trained as a soldier in her past life but she did watch the news and see movies and documentaries on the training of elite military units that exist in pop culture. And so after live fire exercises and torturous training she has herself an elite team the likes of which that world has never seen.

Kyle Hunt

"She looks like Snow White or something." Stated about the character who is voiced by the person who literally voiced the Japanese version of Snow White.

Brandon Paul Cadaret

Tanya is so frog like in the anime, She and Serebryakov actually matches the art style in the manga.

Sei

lmao I was surprised when you also think she looks like chucky

Kyla

how narcisstic do u have to be, to think u could outsmart GOD xDDD
