Man you need to watch some more romance anime :D Id highly recommend "My Little Monster" if you ever feel like checking this genre

I think "Carole & Tuesday" might be another anime which has some similarities to this one. At least in points of showing aspects of music industry. But the anime is not well known because it was running on Netflix and didnt get any hype when it was released.

So Isekai is literally "another world" however it doesn't require reincarnation, reincarnation is just a plot point generally speaking

"Tensei" is the Japanese term for 'reincarnation'. "Isekai" as already been explained by earlier comments is "another world".

Japan takes education very seriously with their idol groups and I'm sure Korea does too. Most of the time not only are the idols required to continue with their educational studies with in the group, in many cases if they don't get a certain grade average, they aren't even allowed to perform until they raise the grades. Some entertainment companies will even hire private tutors for them while they are on the road touring. Babymetal I know for sure was set up like that

High school is not required by law in Japan. So they are in a serious full time school until highschool. After that I don't know. Maybe there are special schools for entertainers? Obviously they can just quit at any time. Suzuka Nakamoto of Babymetal went to Acting School of Hiroshima but I believe that was an after-school school. I don't think she ever went to highschool. But Idols are supposed to set a good example so they might be required by the company to finish highschool.

I dont know about Japan and the entertainment industry but here in germany I visited a school specialized in therapy and a lot of the physio therapy guys and girls actually came from a professional sports background and were still competing worldwide. it was not uncommon to have specialized contracts that gave them time off to compete at their sports and modify the learning times. I am guessing something similar could work in japan aswell?

Love the reactions, although I notice you have a habit of pausing the show to speculate or ask questions about things that would have been answered a few seconds later if you hadn't paused.

Also the fact they were reincarnated gives them character connections, Knowledge, more character depth (imo), overall i dont think it would be the same if Aqua(Amamiya) and Ruby (sarina) were not the dual main characters.

Even though the reincarnation part seems random, if you think about it it's essential to the story. Without that knowledge and intellect, Aqua would have absolutely nothing to use for the investigation of his mothers death. He wouldn't have the phone with the contacts/suspects, he wouldn't have been scouted by the Director for his adult intellect, which means no Kana, which means no meeting the sus director. He wouldn't have the knowledge about DNA tests, or probably even have had the knowledge as a three year old to realize the fact the stalker knew where they lived was suspicious. Plus there's all the potential for the author to explore this reincarnation, it's source, the reason, connections between characters etc. Without the reincarnation this would just be a story about Ruby becoming an Idol.
