Probably one of the very very few shows I watch exclusively in the English dub.

I would say that it is a depiction of the hellholes we have made on the planet and the people who choose or are forced to live there. It is an incredibly fun, occasionally heartbreaking story that i think you would love. One thing to remember is that the action is basically oldschool hollywood action flick. So do remember to leave your disbelief at the door, when the action starts.

is it that good in eng dub? Okay, cool. As a teenager i watched it in german dub and i think it was very good, too. :)

MADHOUSE studios animated this anime like they did with the first half of Attack on Titan. This was THE FIRST anime that got me into anime. I watched it both subbed and dubbed. And I didn't know there were different nationalities and accents in it until I watched the dubbed. Its a high recommended for people starting anime because it is a very badass and japanese Hollywood style anime to watch. Now this show may be a bit much for youtube cuz of some references made but Ill let the people be the judge if they want you to watch it. I know that I do.

I'm gonna say monogatari series has very misleading openings, especially the ones that are cute (Renai Circulation or the first with Hachikuji), meanwhile anime is often... yeah. I would not be suprised if it's banned in a lot of countries. I know you are scared of copyright but I think Renai Circulation is pretty safe, at least I saw quite a few youtubers not get striked for this, or you can just react to the cover Gura did. (the one with 150mln views is also a cover). Gura also covered Platinum Disco which is another opening from this anime.

as far as that second ending, if people don't know who those 2 white haired people are, the ending means nothing, but to those who know who they are, that ending means everything!

This one is PERFECT for a Patreon exclusive show. It's got all the elements that you usually say that you like and it's 18+. Super good anime in my opinion

The dub came out during a time when eng dubs were still very campy but what makes it better than the jp sub is that there are times when Russian characters will actually speak in Russian, Spanish characters speaking Spanish etc. Where as with the sub it's all in Japanese. I would say the quality of the acting isn't as good as today's standard but it's more immersive when characters start speaking their native language. Was the German dub all in German?

you got the plot right actually beside the main character a serious dark sometimes fun story of a mercenary group doing jobs.

I love black lagoon's OP by MELL. A great workout song Black lagoon is an anime not for kids. It explores a lot of taboo crimes that you hardly hear of in the news.

The English dub for this anime does it justice for setting serious tones. For example first time watching I didnt know a character in the show was Colombian until I rewatched it dubbed or how scary a character in the show is with the russian accent. There is a crockpot of characters with such diverse backgrounds and nationalities that really set this anime apart from other anime. I can only think of 2 anime as diverse and dark as this one and they are: Jormundgand and Hellsing which you already watched

Are you sure that Madhouse did AoT? From what I know Production I.G. created Wit studio to deal with AoT Madhouse did Death note, Claymore, also some of Hellsing Ultimate episodes, and others...

It's misdirecting until u finish it and realize it's a representation of how they all want to be. ALIVE, filled with vigor and personality. Death Parades Op is basically a vision of their desire for the future

Hey Luke :D as I said on Youtube.... If you start the anime watch the Anime with english dub. The dub is perfect fit for this anime since all the characters are international from all around the world. I love that anime so much

oh hell yes! Jormungand is also so amazing! one other anime that is also quite good with englisch dub is Gangsta, Devil May Cry (since Dante hast his original englisch voiceactor from the games) and I also would say Ghost in the Shell

Black Lagoon is an anime that happens in the dark side of society, per say. Think of it as an anime with the level of mature\violence of a mafia movie.
