To answer your question, yes season 1 of show is finished, there's enough material for a second season. Also to avoid future confusion if/when you eventually react to 86, know that season 1 was split in 2 separate seasons but they're really just two halves of one season.

The ost was composed by both Hiroyuki Sawano & Kohta Yamamoto. As far as I know, Yamamoto started working with Sawano on AoT final season. The vocalist for this track is GEMIE who did lots of songs from AoT as well. She's the one who hit that insane high note in the AoT Suite.

Yamamoto kohta is not the singer. He's a composer too and he's kinda of like a Hiroyuki Sawano's discipline.. He did the soundtrack for the 4th season of attack on Titan

86 as replacement for Made in abyss would be amazing. I mean at the end you choose it because of the osts, and here it would be the same :) I also doubt that it will win ANY poll in near (and far) future while being such a great fit for you.

Luke got emotional purely from the song on its own. That being the case, looks like us 86 fans really do need to push it with all our might to winning finish line the next opportunity we get.

Same is for Re:Zero, sadly younger audience fans just come over voting for animes that this older reacting person will enjoy, but rather he would want to see more for adult audiences special stories rather than just basic shounen stories.

I would rather wish you would just pick some animes that you want to see rather than throwing every single pick to randomness of internet. Just pick in one of your anime slots anime that you are most interested to see next and ignore poll for that choice.

I think you’d enjoy this anime a lot! It’s quite similar in tone to attack on Titan and Vinland Saga, very dark but very well written and the music is incredible, as you can see!

TBH I know that I will never get a chance for you to watch 86 or my favorite show Re:Creators just due to the fact that most people form mobs around 'popular' anime and even when you get past their favorite shows new shows will get released that replaces their shows until eventually you will forget about any positive feelings you had for older anime opennings/osts you watched. Anyway I know 86 will be reacted to within the next three months, but what about Re:Creators or other shows that only have a small group of fans? It means years, if not decades of waiting until they give up waiting and hoping for you to react to their shows. I was just to slow and as such the more fans that support you show up the less opportunities I will have to promote lesser known shows like Re:Creators which has the same music composer as 86 and AOT...Thank you if you read my post and I hope eventually you will be able to at least react to the OST in Re:Creators

86 finished a major arc but there is more of the source material to adapt from and there are rumors that another season is in the works but nothing has been announced.

The problem with the "majority vote" thing that you have, is that animes like 86 simply aren't well known because 86 is HEAVILY copyrighted on youtube, so the main western anime audience simply hasn't had enough exposure to it or they simply haven't seen the anime. That being the case, 86 will almost always get beaten by other popular animes, because it simply hasn't been seen by enough people just as much as the other ones to know which anime is better.

Yeah ive tried to find reactions to 86 on youtube but since its just copyrighted almost instantly by the company that does it, there arent any reactions on youtube of the full series, that arent fully blurred or outright muted

listening to this song again made me remember the emotional scene in this anime... such a powerful and beautiful song. 86 has 2 seasons and its probably done, but the light novel is still continuing. hopefully we get 3rd season by next year.

He's not wrong, he stated why 'this' show wouldn't win popularity votes. Yes it applies for other shows that different people will say are better than this, because taste in anime is the exact same as taste in food and music. Not everyone enjoys the same as much as another. Yes other popular anime also wouldn't win a popularity vote, but this video is centered on 86. From my point of view your just trying to yank someone's chain and stir things in the comments, ElectricAnt. I also agree on the tournaments being a problem. The majority votes itself are fine, but it should be a bracket from a list of animes that mostly Luke has interest in and secondarily that the community votes for. Most important just finish watching the shows on the whole 'tournament bracket' before starting a new vote/adding new anime to it. As said before the "last/current seasons" hype anime will just be taking the spot in that case, it will be a good way to avoid just becoming a "mainstream anime reactor" like the thousands of other channels out there, save that for Youtube please. Still not sure how some animes are making it on those lists (way to popular/mainstream to not be on the Youtube reaction polls)

The art, the voice acting, the MUSIC, the directing, the battles, the emotional manipulation, the character growth, the utilization of non-main characters, the pacing, the exposition, the conflict/resolution structure, the MUSIC. that!! cant agree more 86 is as far as i know done. at least the season 2 ending felt pretty much done. dont know for sure, since i did not have red the manga. And yes this is one of my all time favourites ost as well. its just amazing

86 defenitely is one of the best anime. But just to be clear, it'is a seinen with a SF complex story based on geopolitical war. Very well written. It's a very long story. The first season (23 episodes) adapts the first 3 volumes of the light novel which is currently 12.

86 is honestly one of the best made animes IMO. It came out in 2021 and I've already watched it 3 times. Its the one I have been most looking forward to you reacting too. You and I seem to react emotionally similar to certain shows and have the same favorite moments, etc... So I can't wait to watch you react to this. Also, it's 100% a Patreon/Youtube Anime.

Forgot to mention, when you do watch this show be sure to watch each episode all the way to the end, including the credits scenes. They cut the endings in such a way that the "credits" are very short and this song usually plays over images that really add more emotional impact to the show. That, and pretty much every episode has an after credits scene anyways. The studio made full use of each minute they were given and it's awesome.

This anime is absolutely incredible. I cant wait for you to get to this one but Im not sure how long it will take to get there because it's just not as popular as some other shows despite its high quality. When you do get to it, I'll be here for it

The show btw is currently at a pretty solid "end point". There are more story arcs in the source material, but it's kind of unknown if/when they'll continue making anime seasons. Where the anime leaves off though *feels* like a good place to stop until that happens though

86 is decently popular and, imo, decently written... but I'd recommend you stream it rather than drip feed it in chunks to YouTube. I think that Code Geass, Gurren Lagann, FMA, and so many other tride and true classics of the mid 2000's with their masterful character designs, stirring OSTs and time-tested stories, would be more fitting for slower releases. Also regarding streaming vs episode releases, if you ever decide to watch anything incredibly long (One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, etc) I think it would be smart to stream those shows. After all, you aren't primarily an anime channel; dedicating a timeslot of your channel to one show for years is a big investment.

Oh, here’s something you should react to. There’s many, many good songs made by a composer named Shiro Sagisu. He’s made almost all the tracks from Evangelion, and tons of tracks from Bleach, Berzerk, and even Godzilla. Some good songs of his are “Clever la Espada” from bleach “Munashiki Nagare” from evangelion and also many, many others from Evangelion. I genuinely think you’ll enjoy it if you randomly pick out a couple evangelion songs of his.

Hiroyuki Sawano is one of my favorite composers. They're great at creating very emotional music. They've worked on a lot of my favorite OSTs. Another series I really like the music from is "Aldnoah Zero".

Ahhh... oh how nice, that after 3 months we FINALLY got 86 to win the tournament... Luke, please enjoy, 86 is a great anime. Looking forward to watching your reactions to the full anime. Personally I would have LOVED it on an episode by episode basis versus Twitch, but I will take what we can, all I will suggest (humbling ask) is to watch close and absorb the show. The twitch reactions have been more "fun" lately, this one will be a bit more "grounded" and should hopefully be an adventure.
