My second fav ep :). A few notes. Nail of Helena is the nail that pierced jesus on the cross. Alucard wants to be defeated by a human, it isn't a rule of nature. And i really recomend also uploadin this to Youtube. :) it allways gets alot of views

The Butler that protected the Major was indeed Walter, it will be explained in a later episode why he is with Millennium

Alucard himself is kind of devils instrument on Earth, witch will be explained at the start of next episode if I remember correctly ... With Anderson becoming Gods monster he stopped being human and with that Alucard no longer consider him worthy of his head because he done some mistake as him and therafore is less then a human ... If you remember, he considered older queen of England even more beautiful as her younger self and that really show how Alucard himself despised his nature ....

Fantastic reaction as always! This is most peoples favourite episode, the long awaited return of, and full release, of Dracula. I adore the Alucard/Anderson rivalry, and when how utterly heart breaking the look on Alucards face is as he pleads with Anderson not to give up his humanity, to not become a monster like him. He even calls himself weak, too weak to bear his mortality. Hellsing does a good job of being extravagant in speech without talking down to the viewer in terms of explaining how characters feels or their exact train of thoughts, so when they do its more impactful. Just look at the amazing expressions Alucard shows in this episode, the animators did so well with them. And yes, that indeed was hellsings 'angel of death' butler, as The Major so gleefully said! the preview last ep actually shows him which is what i wanted to avoid. That being said, as for the majors plan...I simply guarantee that you won't see it coming.

No any other part of the show can be considered a spoiler. Unless it's something the creator wants you to see - but that can't be spoiler as long as it's intended, right?

Anderson letting one of the person he raised to die is pretty sad. I mean, the dude deserved but Anderson having to be one to do it that makes everything more brutal.

Hellsing Ultimate Abridged by TeamFourStar is generally good, but Episode 8 is some of the best content they've made, full stop. If nothing else, you really should watch that.

My bad, you are right, I wrote all of them and the mistake it did not click. There was an old church visited by tourists where I saw the old cross. It was in Greece and I saw it only on pictures taken by a couple who went there on a trip. Yesterday I was tired and did not realize that I wrote "all". The majority of the churches which had those crosses no longer exist. I corrected what I wrote but if it bothers you I will remove it.

Hellsing U feels like an experimental show. It's great. Like some B movie plots are, but with the budget to take it further than ever done before. Spectacular in its insanity!

Yeah what the other guy said - it's an unfortunate resemblance, but the uniforms and armor of the Catholic forces are inspired by historical garb and outfits worn by Catholics during ceremonies and the like. The KKK basically just ripped them off cheaply - a rather ironic twist given that among many others, they hated Catholics too.

Also, suicide - if anyone out there wanted to know, suicide certainly used to be a "mortal sin" under Roman Catholicism (that is a sin that is damning) but I do not know if it is still considered to be one. Under the branches of Protestantism that I am aware of it is certainly a terrible and tragic evil, but not damning. Hope that helps.

You have to ask for forgiveness for sins. If you kill yourself you can't ask for forgiveness anymore, so you go straight to hell. And Seeing as how it's the Iscariot Order's job to go to hell, fight the demons, and open the gates of hell from the inside so the forces of heaven can get in, they're cool with that.

The other men from the quick flashback where the characters from Bram Stoker's Dracula. Integra's grandpa beat Alucard. Alucard wants to finally die, and Van Hellsing said he'd kill him once he was the last vampire, and locked him up in the basement.

Just you should know those kinds of capes were worn by knights way before the evil group you are associating it with even existed...

Other Iscariot members (young priest and nun) are introduced in extra chapters of manga at the end of each volume. It is not in the anime unfortunately.
