luke there is 3 movies of made in abyss.The first two are recap movies,but the third one is canon and is between the first and the second season and need to be watched,otherwise you will be confused in second season.

Season 1 first obviously lol then there's a movie in between that and season 2. the movie is a must watch otherwise you'll miss an entire arc of the journey and you wont have a clue what's going on lol I'm really looking forward to this i was gunna rewatch on my own... but now I don't have too :D

Luke, in answer to your question ... it's not done, season 3 has already been greenlit. After you watch seasons 1 and 2 the first 2 movies are only recaps but the 3rd is an original that's a bridge to upcoming season 3.

For subtitles i'd recommend no background, same size or a tiny bit bigger if you want and a "uniform" character edge, this is the same way most fansubs and cruchyroll does it and looks best imo. And I recognise you won't do this but regardless I have to atleast try, I'd just ditch HiDive and go with a torrent, streaming video will always look worse due to bitrate compression and HiDive is as far as I know the worst of the big anime streaming sites. If you're ever confused during this show, don't worry about it and avoid comments talking about details, people don't know where help ends and spoilers begin.

The shadow background on the subtitles is less than ideal, but if the subtitles do not have dark outlines (ie: they're just pure white), then that makes them a lot worse. The size can maybe stand to be a step larger, but it's not bad where it's at.

bro what are you on about, the movie 3 is not an original, its canon and very important for the story, and its after season 1 but before season 2, i think you're a bit confused the watch order is: Season 1 Ignore movie 1 & 2, as they are recaps of season 1 with a bit of cut content. Movie 3: Dawn of the Deep Soul, Canon to story and cant be skipped. Season 2. and then wait for the next half a decade til season 3 comes out cuz theres not enough source material anymore.

Very Important Chronical Order: 1st Season into the movie called "Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul" and then the 2nd Season. Without the movie content u are gonna be left out with alot of information and story revelant things. The Movie is basically a continuation to the first Season and the end of the movie is where the second seasons starts.

Okay, so there are two seasons but there's a movie in between the two which is very important. The story is not wrapped up either, there will be a third season (the announcement was made this January) but we don't know when it'll be coming out yet.

I could've sworn that the third movie was supposed to take place after season 2 but I'm probably wrong. As for season 3, the trailer was released all the way back in January with the confirmation. Usually they launch the trailer within months of a new season debuting so this makes is very weird. Jammy, by original I meant "not a recap" sorry for the confusion on that front.

- also about the end: so far theres 2 seasons and a movie in between thats story relevant, like season 1 end is the movie start, movie end is season 2 start. So its a must watch before s2. Currently at this point theres like 2 Mangas more out then the anime goes, so story isent finished but it will take some time till theres more room for anime. First the writer has to produce more manga :D

After the first season, you’ll need to watch the movie Dawn of the Deep Soul before you move to season 2, otherwise you won’t understand the 2nd season well. The movie is the continuation from season 1.

I'm sure this has probably been mentioned a ton of times but too many comments to go through to verify. There is 2 seasons and a canonical movie. The watch order is season 1, Movie (Dawn of the deep soul), season 2. The movie is a must watch as it ties season 1 to season 2. If you skip the movie you will be hella confused at the start of season 2. There is also 2 other movies. These are not required like dawn of the deep soul is because those movies are just recaps of season 1.

Season 3 is not coming out in this year or the next one. When Season 1 ended (2017) they announced movie 3 ,that was released in 2020 and 24h after movie came out, they announced season 2 that came out 2 and half years later. manga was also only few chapters ahead ,when S3 was announced ,so I would not expect another season before 2026 ,at best. But at least we know that they are committed to continue the story

Tbh Madoka might be hit or miss, it's a weird show, u either love it or you are not interested in it at all. But worth watching anyway, in some kind of way it's similar to MiA even tho it's entierly different at the same time.

I missed the notification for patreon and saw the video up on youtube and internally screamed LOL. I'm so happy you're doing this twice a week on patreon, I think you'll find being fully immersed in the scenes and taking in the music will be much more of an experience rather than trying to take in all of that PLUS chat. I've watched this series maybe....7 or 8 times now and still the score gives me goosebumps. There is an opening and ending to this show, but it's not featured in the first episode. The ending credits actually for ep 1 is the opening track. I can't wait for you to learn about the great chasm that is The Abyss. You're in for a 'wild ride' as you already heard hehe. There is: >Season 1, (there are also 2 movies that condense all 12 episodes into two digestible chunks, but watching each episode is the way to go, really) >Movie- Dawn of the Deep Soul: a movie that covers the following arc >Season 2 Season 2 just came out recently, but it will be quite a while for season 3 as the manga author posts one chapter about every.....4-6 months or so.... it's torture. I think the subs settings are fine for me :)

The giant flying snake is usually only seen deeper in the abyss, so "relatively safe" means that this stuff isn't supposed to happen. Not just children get down there, but the ones in the orphanage are children of cave raiders that haven't made it out. "What is down there?" is the question that compells the cave raiders to go deeper and deeper. Also this question will not stop. Really glad you're finally watching this.

Made in Abyss is fine for the most part, but there is a couple of moments that has great flair and weight. And that is what I'm worried about. I don't recommend it to people even though I want them to experience it. I'm fine with talking to the few who watched it of their own accord and knowing they saw what I saw. I hope you can watch it without pausing too much, because watching it together is what makes an experience complete. When the viewer don't get a pause in the emotions the show builds up. I'm here for your expressions and emotions. Your opinion comes second for me. When you watch it, I hope you take in every ~grand~ moments without relief.... But if you want to, then pause. I don't care about you pausing too much most of the show though, only when moments are "grand" and demand attention: For better or for worse. I want to see a part of your soul as the scenes open up into bloom

And comparing it no MIA makes no sense, they're completely different styles and forms of animations, it's like comparing clay stop-motion to live action. I personally prefer MIA but that's irrelevant. Comparing it to the original it's objectively much much better, as it should be considering the original came out in the 90s.

If the question is 'the most beautiful' anime I will always vote for 'No Game No Life', or if movies are involved, 'Garden of words' (Both of which would be fantastic reactions to see!) But this show is pretty high up there. I personally am not a huge fan of the look of the main duo, but the world, the Monsters, and a particularly tall character we will meet, are stunning looking. The setting of the abyss is what sells me on this show though. its just really cool.

I came here cause I came across your comments on the OST and the show is hauntingly beautiful but horrible. The story is told well and leaves one feeling dirty and confused but knowing there is more coming. The monsters aren't so much the pit but what drives everyone into it.
