you keep asking whats the point and what are they trying to achieve in this timeline... well keep in mind in this timeline they dont have a time machine. And even if they try to make it they only know how the d-mail system works. Remember Kurisu created the Time leap machine so the rest of the gang dont know what to do. Besides Okabe is against the idea of changing the world line because he feels this would undermine Kurisu's sacrifice. Also from everyone's perspective its this dark future awating them and Okabe refuses to change it but from his perspective its chosing between ww3 and SERN global domination/dictatorship

People like to point out how certain body parts are emphasized in anime. But what I think is interesting is how desensitized we are to it when we watch any live action show or movie and they do the exact same thing.
