You will struggle to find the first 4 seasons of this anime legally as no company has brought the rights to have it on their platform but you will need to watch them to get the whole story

Probably one of my favorite anime ever. I highly recommend going into it blind as that moment when you realize what's going on is so fulfilling.

Yes this is an anime you can enjoy. It's a anime where it has many twists and turns and you won't get the twists until you keep watching until the end.

I don't see alot of people suggesting Shiki if you want a horror/thriller series. Openings are bangers.

Sadly it is very hard to watch all of Higurashi, outside of sailing the seas, but I will vouch that the best way to experience it is the original visual novels which are available on Steam. They are really good, set an amazing atmosphere with the audio and everything. If you enjoy books and horror you will love them. Hell if you have a Steam account I'll gift them, consider it a targeted dono lol

If you wanted to watch it I think you could slide in under Twitch's rules? The worst parts are a little rough but not that bad, and usually Twitch complains more about sexual stuff, unless it is in a pool and/or hot tub. May require a bit of Googling or asking us, but I haven't hit the pirate sites in a while so I don't know what is still running. Would make a good Twitch series though, similar levels of mind fuckery as Steins Gate but longer. But I still rec the VNs though, they're just better. You can take that at your own pace, settle in with a drink and some dim lights, let the BG track set the mood, and just enjoy it. Honestly man you do enough, feel free to just indulge in some of our recommendations without using all of them for content.

Higurashi is not confusing, if we don't count the non-original stupid "new 2 season series". It has a good, well explained background for everything.

three genre tags my friend mystery supernatural horror. and the opening is just the bait. not an anime series for the faint of heart or the squeamish. it is dark. and yes we are messing with you luke,, it's reverse phycology we tell you the truth and the anime opening gas lights you into thinking otherwise XD and yes i was laughing.

i mean yeah it is kinda about how a family had a traumatic experience and moved away, but that's not actually part of the show. It doesn't even tell you in the anime, you have to read the sound novel to get that context.

fire video although that higurashi when they cry KIRA isn’t actually canon. It’s an OVA iirc. The rest are series canon. That’s probably why it felt such an outlier. Higurashi is fire though but it’s really dark. Would be a fire twitch anime (if anime gore is ok on twitch) if that’s not the case, then patreon exclusive :)
