As a weeb, i highly do not recomend made in abyss. i'm not saying this to offend anyone, but that show is very sus. and has highly inappropriate scenes. i'm not saying that people that watch it are what we all are thinking of, but maybe you should skip that show. :)

I might suggest waiting a while with Made in Abyss. It is a very good anime, but i think it will be better if you have seen more stuff first.

Castlevania please. It's criminally underrated and It'll be right up your alley. The characters and dialogue are excellent.

The first crusade was actually called in france. So calling it a british thing is very wrong. It was generally connected to governments and priests connected to the Vatican and the first people who did it have actually had 100 years of war with britain.

Fight between Wild geese and Last battalion is a bloody one. Zorin's power is very dangerous to humans and you will see how much. Be ready for some really bloody fight. For the next show to pick I will go straight forward. Made in Abyss is not my mug of coffee and I would always pick Castlevania over it.

I honestly don't have a preference. Made in abyss was alright. I never finished it was busy in college. Castlevsnia seems cool watched a episode years back.

The crusaders are wearing catholic poited hats, they are used in Spain/Spanish speaking countries during Easter festivities. Not only white but also purple, black, green... coloured. Don’t forget that Maxwell/Iscariots are fanatics that deam non-catholics as heretics/non-believers... The whole principle of religious based hatred > you don't believe in my god, submit and start believing or die. The Queen is the religious head in UK, US last catholic president was Kennedy... Maxwell sees the US situation as enemy killing another enemy... They are going to deal with a thorn that they have in their backside since Henry VIII.

To be honest Made in the Abyss is a great show, but Castlevania continues with the Vampire theme, so if you were going to watch two episodes of Made in the Abyss can you just do one episode of both series at least until the end of the first season of Castlevania (4 Episodes)? This way you get to see both series and from there you can continue which show you like better

There's a unique ending credits song and animation for every single episode, no one repeats and they're usually tied to the story. You should watch the credits for at least the next couple! My vote is for Castlevania after this.

There are maybe 4 scenes in the entire show, that i would call "sus" yes. But the story and the show are still top tier. Without these scenes it would be a perfect masterpiece. And there are more controversal shows like moshuko tensei and redo of healer. In comparison to other specific Animes, MiA is nearly innocent, imo

I agree the show is very good, and the art style is amazing. However the the author and those 4 scenes (in season 1) are enough for me or any moral person to think twice before watching.

First note: Next episode I would HIGHLY recommend AVOIDING the post credits scene as it kind of spoils a huge thing in the following episode. I love this episode, Getting to see the wild geese in action, earning their pay grade. the 'just guys being dudes' mentality of a group of mercenaries that spill blood for money......Pip is a legend, and that dude saying 'old age is for pussies' is a fucking CHAMPION. You'd probably get blasted for writing that scene with Seras getting her ass smacked these days, the guys all wanting a kiss and bothering her....but its just fun, lifting the spirits of men that have consigned themselves to death. Its very...human. and its the little moments of fun that give the show some humanity. perhaps they over do it on occasion, but I'm glad its there. Similarly, the scene with integra getting her cigar lit is essentially showing that htis one regualr woman commands lucards respect for a reason. She's just...in control.

You should watch the credits, especially episode 7's, they provide some additional, albeit very small amount, of backstory on some of the characters. Episode 7's ending credits is very impactful/emotional.

1. I think you might be confusing the post-credit scene with the next episode preview. 2. Assuming you are referring to the post-credit scene, most people would make the wrong conclusion from what they see. 3. Something can't be considered a spoiler when the show revels it

Disclaimer: this is just my opinion. Don't watch Parasyte. It's dumb, you won't like it, and it's made for poopy brained children. Cool concept piss poor execution. And Castelvania over Made in Abyss.

Vampires not being able to cross water is not mentioned in the show before. Show relies a lot on existing vampire mythos, in which it's sometimes held that vampires can't cross water, or maybe just running water. Alucard sailing the destroyed vessel mirrors Dracula's arrival into London on a ship with massacred crew found in the original book.

To be honest, I would prefer Castlevania. I haven't seen Maiden Abyss and maybe it is really good, but I read some of the warnings and its not something I am super excited to see (still will watch your reactions though)

@kyle you are correct, its the preview not the post credit scene, however considering the placement and timing of each, If he watches one I'm willing to bet he will see the other. Still if our dear reactor does see this, post credits is fine, but beware the evil of the preview!
