I think its about time to start your journey with long anime, you have watch a good amount of short ones, and I suggest One Piece, but doing it the watch along format on Twitch, One Piece its at its best when binged, it has some pacing issue at time, so binging 6-7 episodes at the time will make the experience way more enjoyable, and I promise you ain't gonna regret it, but if not One Piece, Gintama, that is one of the best long running anime too.

he will watch long series anyway when he reach 350 k on youtube and he said that he will do everyday videos on these series so you riot now and not watch him if you want.Some people will be unhappy,but i am sure most will be happy for him to react to longer series

You really need to check out Yu-Yu Hakusho it’s an older anime but til this day it’s one of my favorite anime

Yu-Yu Hakusho wasn't bad tho I eventualy dropped it after like 25 episodes. I'm sure it probably gets better later, like every shounen, but my guess is still that Togashi's Hunter x Hunter is a lot better. (But to be honest I also dropped Hxh multiple times at the beginning)

I would say Hunter x Hunter might be good to watch as a first longer series, only 150 episodes compared to 1000+ of OP. JoJo could also be interesting. And if we go out outisde of shounen gnere then MONSTER for sure.

The hunter x hunter serialization has been canceled so it’s a bit harder to sell people on a series with no end

As far as an older series, I agree that Yu-Yu-Hakusho is probably the best match for him and it’s not as long as some other old series. If he has not seen Dragon Ball Z, he could watch Dragon Ball Z Kai.

It has an ending, though I thought he intentionally rushed the end of YuYu Hakusho because he didn't want to keep working on it despite publishers wanting it to continue. As for Hunter x Hunter it's possibly getting cancelled due to Togashi's declining health. If he still has it in him to wrap things up real quick then maybe it'll be another rushed end, but I wouldn't expect the completed tankōbon volumes to be cleaned up like YuYu Hakusho or I wouldn't be surprised if he just walks away from it all.

Ahh this is why i hate watchalong ,i dont hate luke but i hate the chat who makes luke always distract and miss some jokes since tensei slime watch along :( chat on twitch ,cant you just enjoy the anime and not distract luke attention from watching with unimportant issues ? :( like audio is just fine and it doesn't matter if you've seen it before I believe many of you have watched the anime and came to watchalong to see luke's reaction right? but why did you guys mess it up

I have not read manga of Hxh but dark continent being important only since ant arc, it seems like Hxh will end up worse.

I don't think you should blame the chat though. It's on Luke to pay more attention to the anime and less to the chat. It's not disrespectful to ignore most of the chat while watching it. In fact, it's probably more respectful to give people a proper reaction. Glance at the chat every now and then and respond, but make sure to keep your eyes glued to the anime itself at least 95% of the time, if not more. Another benefit is that he'll miss out on the many small spoilers posted in chat.

you will probably never see this @FraaD but I disagree with you, I noticed something from season1 as he watched, he saw PLENTY of "jokes" yet he didn't get them. I know now why many people when konosuba won, they said it's too early for him. PRetty much the funniest isekai ever but he only could start to enjoy it from season2, because it took him LITERALLY a whole season to understand the genre, the joke and accept that characters have that type of personality. Basically it's a "waste" by default, the fact that he watch chat change nothing. If he had seen another 2-3 extra isekai's his enjoyment for konosuba would be 3x more, and he'd be able to pick jokes even while looking at chat. So I'd say primary fault is mine (and chat) for voting konosuba instead of waiting for him to gather more EXP.

I didn't watch it but the way Frentzy explained it makes complete sense. Its definitely a show with a lot of "inside jokes" to those who have watched a lot of anime or at least a few isekai beforehand.

I'm way late on commenting this but I can't believe there are actually people who don't hear the audio problem. I haven't found a single version of this movie yet with the bathroom echo/camrip quality audio track. It was a good watchalong though.

Madoka magica next. In the Made in Abyss OP there is a cameo from Kyubei of Madoka Magica. That is a hint of what kind of anime Made In Abyss is going to be. Kyubei is a sweet creature.
