Omg its Selena! She was and still is an Icon! She helped paved the way for Mexican american singers and tragically was killed in 1995 at 23 years old. Much love for her ❤ You should definitely react to Dreaming of you, or even the Selena movie.

Selena Quintanilla Pérez... Amazing singer from Corpus Christi, Texas. Her parents were originally from Mexico, but moved to Texas. Selena learned Spanish so she could do interviews and interact with the Mexican fans. There's a movie (with Jennifer Lopez) and series (On Netflix) about her life. I'd recommend it to at least get a sense of who she was and the absolute tragedy her murder was.

Selena is loved immensely by the mexican community, her songs are played in parties and pretty much any event (Or my mom blasting music while shes cleaning the kitchen or something lol.). And Selena died due to someone elses greed, the woman who killed her is actually still in prison to this day, but I heard that she is coming out soon?? Im not too sure if that last part about her sentence being almost over was right, maybe someone can inform me about it.

Aaa... My first love, selena. This woman's music shaped my youth and her beauty and charisma shaped what I see as the ideal woman. Watch the Netflix series because while it tells the story of her life it also gets into her music much more than the movie did. Her music is her legacy and what she herself said she wanted to be remembered by. As for other music by her, anything from this astrodome concert is a hit. It's all up on YouTube last time I rewatched it. I love her pop songs but her ranchera songs always stand out because they show off her amazing vocal talents. Listen to El toro relajo, Siempre hace frio or No me queda más. For that last one be sure to see her grammy performance.

Selena is an icon. She was taken from us far too soon, having passed away at 23 years old. She was shot and killed by her greedy manager. This performance was on February 26, 1995. She was killed March 31, 1995, so this really was one of her last performances. Also, she is Mexican. Her mother was Mexican/Cherokee and her father was Mexican.
