When I first saw this episode, Kobeni's line about either quitting the job or it driviing her crazy gave me the chills. Second time watching and it still does the same. It's definitely wayyyyy too late for that. I was sad seeing Arai go though, he seemed a decent guy.

Saga of Tanya the Evil or Madoka★Magica would both be good replacements once Chainsaw Man finishes.

I know it isnt popular, but I would really love it if you watched Blood Blockade Brigade as one of your Friday Animes. Two seasons which combined add up to 24 episodes, fun comedy, memorable characters, insane fictional universe... I'm sure you'd love it! Watch the Openings/endings first though!

I’ll keep championing Steins;Gate to be the replacement of CSM. I think a change in genre would be nice while keeping the intensity and unique and lovable type of characters you see in CSM

He already picked steins gate and konosuba for twitch streams. For something similar to CSM that also has crazy world building, Dorohedoro is great at 12 episodes. Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex is a cyberpunk thriller that he might appreciate as well.

I think we all said hibeno was in the wrong line of work and then realized she was in the right line of work after this episode. If you didn't underestimate her then props.

If you pay close attention back in episode 5, Himeno says that Kobeni 'has the skills, but not the temperament' for the job

Pretty sure Makima did say 30 convicts but I think she only used as many as she needed. She probably found out at the temple how many she would need to sacrifice, and I think there were more in the transport car

This is probably my favorite single episode out of any show, especially the scene with Makima on the temple. The soundtrack, the tension, people exploding and bodies falling thunk on the ground, all perfectly paced. It physically unsettled me. Don't know how much into japanese folklore you're into, but there's a yokai (spirits/supernatural creatures) that's called karasu(crow) tengu, also know as celestial hound. Torso of a man with wings, lower body of a bird and head of a dog (later on depictions developed to have a beak instead, but the name celestial hound still stuck). They are depicted to be skilled warriors, fiercely territorial and sometimes have shapeshifting powers. All the crows and the need for temple up high seems to hint towards Makima having connection to something similar

How to disable subtitles on Patreon? I can’t see a thing. It’s constantly switching between English and Japanese, it’s broken and sometimes it’s covering the whole screen with a single Japanese letter during some SFX.

Replace it with Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood. It was second after death note if I remember correctly and it's fucking awesome :)

I recommend Bocchi the Rock as the chainsaw man replacenent. It's a wildly different show to things like Death Note and Attack on Titan, and it also has only one season of 12 episodes. More on the wholesome and funny side of things as opposed to the dark and psychological.
