You are this deep in the series, having not played the game, so we'll give you this one. They live fast and short in Night City. They are celebrated for going out in style, rather than living to regret that wheelchair. So if you meet someone you connect with, you don't waste time. Lucy held David at arm's length for a while, but she felt it and that is that. Kiwi straight up told Lucy that you don't trust people in Night City, and she meant it. Then she sold her out, does that not prove her point? Yes, someone explained it the last video, but "calls" in this time and era are straight brain links. The process of thought versus speech scrambles it a little on the output. Never see a business class sedan take a shell from a main battle tank? Heh. The only thing to question is how these vechicles are so solid after getting hit so hard to take flight! We do all love Rebecca.

So, David is "special" only for his high tolerance to cybernetics.. In the game, Cyberpsychosis is incurable, but there is a NPC who's doing research to help people who suffers from Cyberpsychosis. Also in the game, an early symptom to cyberpsychosis is believing you're special; you can see the early signs when David got the sandy. Falco has been around the crew for a while. If you remember, he was there when Maine was still running the crew; he was the driver. He wasn't in that epic shot of all of them walking though.

Well I am glad that Hellsing is winning, most people skipped the intro so they didn't heard you say "write comment, vote the comment, etc". Also because there were many comments, people had to press click "load more comments" MULTIPLE times, since it load only like 10-12 at once Which translate to "I am way too lazy to find the [anime] comment that has the most liked for the anime I want just to upvote that". The comment system on patreon is bad. Thanks for listening to me and made the patreon poll (30-40% of all people on patreon voted which is pretty good) (yes I was the guy who suggested it, Sorry castlevania fans but you clearly are more dedicated than the lazy hellsing fans which needed a poll)

The calls are sort of distorted because its taking the persons thoughts directly and converting it into a text to speech, thoughts are faster than actual speaking. If you ever listen to your thoughts they tend to repeat or go astray.

About the phone conversations feeling weird. The text is from the Japanese version. Since they canonically speak English in Edgerunners, the phone text was made to be English for authenticity. But that also meant the text is just a direct translation of the Japanese script. So it sounds weird in English because the phone calls have mannerisms and the speech pattern of the Japanese script. It also sounds even worse since the voice actors had to match the visuals of the text appearing, so there is almost no time to pause and make the bad English translation sound decent with proper flow. The reason they didn't redo the script was because the text is baked into the animation, they would have to make new animations for the English dub. So instead of changing the script and make new text animations, they just used the existing animation and text as the English script.

Also, never really explained why they talk double in the calls, think its like a walkie talkie but we don't hear the static or cut outs, just to get message across? my guess. Please do a cyberpunk 2k77 playthrough on twitch! the rpg story is amazing. (Rebecca is the side girl who is too good for this city)

2023-06-28 11:46:27 The double talk in calls is because they're not talking with their mouths, they're having the software directly use their brain signal inputs. And sometimes their mind-based messages "stutter" just like people can stutter with their mouths in real life which causes the doubled-up words on occasion.
