The main goal of both sides is to use the Rumbling.. But more specifically for the government to use it is as a deterrent, sure display of power, but also to pass down the power possibly using Historia's future children as royal blood subjects. Eren did not like that idea, 13yrs death sentence for inheritances. Eren was held captive because they still needed to find out where Eren & Zekes stance is in all this since they're really the ones in control of the power. Zeke is really the wild card along with Yelena and the traitor Marleyans... There are so many parties and factions at play here, I can't wait till you get to the next action episodes. So many plot twists ahead!

All they have said is who Historia claimed was the father. Some farm boy she knew from her past that would be conveniently hard to track down and confirm their existence. May be true, may not be. I'd say the theory about it being Eren still holds water.

How are we still on this theory after all this years, this got debunked after It happened in the manga for the first time, It has been confirmed that the father is just some random dude. Not only that but is not even fucking relevant because historia and Ymir stopped being relevant when Isayama discarted the whole plotpoints he had for them

I have to mention that anyone can deceive a polygraph, as they do not effectively monitor whether you are lying. Just a number of external factors that CAN change when you lie. But they also change if you are horny, happy, sad, irritated, scared, comfortable and any number of other things. They work as a way to make people believe that you can tell whether they are lying, but anyone who actually knows anything about them knows that they are useless.

Not too many people realize that there seems to have been another leadership change in between season three and four because Historia is more like a figurehead instead of the actual leader.

Much like with the Erwin/Beast situation, Historias baby is kinda blocking you from seeing some other details that are more relevant to the story.
