They didn’t outright explain it, but I looked it up, and it’s heavily implied that Abnormals are made when the Pure Titan Injection Serum is applied improperly. It’s why Rod’s Titan was so big and deformed, by licking the Serum, while having his Spine broken(from Historia pushing him) and being of Royal Blood. The Marleyan Officer by Erebus Kruger (the Owl) also said that he could make smaller titans by injecting less Serum into them. According to one user I found on Quora, the Spinal Fluid probably acts by starting at the Spine (which is why Rod’s Transformation might have been so weird and why injecting less Serum may create smaller Titans). The running theory amongst the AoT Fan Theorists is that applying the Titan Serum incorrectly makes Abnormals. Rod is a double special case in that he was a Royal so that’s probably why he was so big, and the reason he was abnormal is probably because he licked a few drops of the Serum (while also having a Broken Spine, sounds pretty important). Presumably, Eren went alone at some point, when he did the whole war veteran thing. He talks to Falco, he says that he ran away from his family and they will be worried. And he sends letters to them. I don't think his entirely lying to Falco when he says that. He probably sent letters explaining his plan, but left it up to them on whether they came or not. Hence him being slightly suprised they came. Zeke got sent to the front gate when Pieck and Porco got sent to the pit. So he would have been far away when it started. You can see how chaotic it is trying to navigate the streets right now in human form. If he transformed its easier, but his titan has always seemed slow. His pretty much always just standing still, or when he does walk its slow and lumbering. Also possible that he got trapped too.

Pieck, Porco and Zeke were all escorted away from the stage by that tall soldier some time before Eren attacked. Zeke however was directed to the gate, whilst Pieck and Porco were led into a trapdoor. Reiner (along with Falco) were close to Eren when he transformed, so their status is currently unknown.

my favorite part of the episode is when Porco is like "hey cant you see im a titan?! Why are you coming at me". Really shows that the warrior candidates have no idea what they are getting into

That's not even remotely close to being true? The 3 episodes in a row from Season 3 Part 2 are just that, The one where Erwin dies, where Armin "dies" and then finally the basement being shown. After that I believe the highest is in the most recent season which I won't name cause spoilers.

Porco realizing that his nation has been sending titans to Paradis... teaching an island of people how to fight titans without being titans. It is beautiful. Just the sheer WTF of "Hey cant you see i'm a titan?" feeling that nobody should actually step up to a titan.

Eren: "Stop! It's Hammer time!" This is probably the second greatest episode of the series, in my opinion. I love how smart Eren was to realize that the War Hammer Titan didn't form normally. Oh, man...such a great episode.

These tracks are actually by Kohta Yamamoto. He did all the music for Marley, whereas Sawano does all the music for Eldia/Paradis.

Of course the last person with the sword is Levi! Even Pock/Jaw Titan says "Is that Ackerman?" Even in Marley they know you don't fuck with Levi Ackerman! Speaking of that, it was in the manga but not anime, Zeke mentions to Colt and Magrath how he is terrified to go back to the island because of both Ackermans especially Levi.

yeah my two favorite moments was Pieck becoming absolutely terrified and triggered at the sound of the lines zipping, considering she's been on the frontlines against Paradis as has probably had tons of close calls with the titan fighters (the scouts). And Pock who has never probably fought a human capable of fighting a titan before (not including people shooting anti titan cannons from the other nations) let alone multiple humans running at him with weapons.
