I dont know why every reactor gets this wrong Katsuo does NOT have MMA freeware, he has Kung Fu chipware. If youve been on the internet for over a year, it should be pretty obvious that FREEware means FREE software. He mentioned MMA freeware as an insult to David for being poor. Katsuo has the Strong Arms 400 and Kung Fu chipware. Aka, not a free trial combat chip. An actual paid for combat chip.

TL;DR, most people are 95% organic, they'll have a basic neural interface allowing chips and thought based communication. The rich, the desperate, and the outlaws get heavy cybernetic enhancements. This anime takes place in night city, infamous for being nearly lawless as public officials can't handle it. Most of the city is unpoliced and unserviced, while the rest is run by megacorporations.

I'm so glad you watch the dub. This is actually one of the few cases where I prefer it over the original dub.

Watch the 'dub' on this one. It's a story taking place in Night City, New USA where the majority of characters are speaking English, or being translated into English via internal implants.

While the show was made in Japan, I still recommend the English dub as it may be hard to follow the phone conversations if your strictly reading it. It's also just a really good dub as well.

I watched the sub and the dub, I thought the dub was more fitting in this anime, the Japanese voice actors didn’t feel right in edgerunners. But English cast is soo good in this one 👌

-Choom comes from the Cyberpunk 2020 game, and is "Neo-African American" from choombatta. The "choom" section is from chum, the English term of endearment (from chamber-mate, arising in the late 1600s as a term of endearment for your college roommate), and the -batta comes from "afrika bambaataa". "Bambaataa" is a change in the spelling from the name of the Zulu chief Bhambatha, a famous leader of the 1906 rebellion. Bhambatha was an inspiration for later South Africans who were fighting against Apartheid. ---- -BD is "braindance" and has a loooong history in cyberpunk fiction. From the SQuIDs (Superconducting Quantum Interference Detectors) that show up in the table top as Braindance Wreaths to the implanted recorders that capture brain function and output to a chipslot that can then be usually edited and sold to be slotted by someone else, or even unedited extreme braindances recording things like criminal acts of either the perpetrator's or the victim's perspective in the form of xBD virtus (virtus is the word for the unedited straight form.) ---- -Ripperdoc is the name for a doctor specializing in cyberware, either ripping you open and putting it in, or ripping you open and taking it out when you die. Though "ripperdoc" *could* be used to refer to any doctor who can do the job, the name comes from the streets and the practice of claiming/reclaiming cyberware from the dead.

2 things I need to ask. Will you post a notification on YouTube when a new episode becomes available on patreon? That would help people know to look there for exclusives. And will you make the reactions downloadable? This would make it much easier to digest as signal for live watching isn't always great

After Cyberpunk 2077 was re-released, a lot of the problems people had with the game were fixed. Not to mention, they added a bunch of new stuff with updates. It WAS a shit show when it initially released, but it's worth a playthrough now. In fact, I probably wouldn't have watched Edgerunners if I didn't enjoy 2077 as much as I did
