2024-05-02 02:45:44 Can't tell if someone answered it but when the anime came out, the manga wasn't finished (which is normal. But a weekly anime and monthly manga release didn't hold out long. The anime soon had to make up the middle and ending. I will say the begining 7 or so episodes are great in this one

For an anime movie, I say you should start with one of the classics - either Akira or Ghost In The Shell. Both of these have had lasting impacts on the medium for decades and are legendary in their own rights.

Ill try not to spoil anything but FMA although from openings seems light hearted is massively influenced by WW2 themes. Also FMA has one of the most organized and loyal fanbases in the entire world of anime. Its fanbase kept the anime at #1 in the "MyAnimeList" chart since 2007 with a few short term drops to 2nd place As for favorite anime movie: My personal best are Your Name and Spirited away. With Spirited away being first ever anime movie i watched

Basically what happened is that FMA was released while the manga was still ongoing and they caught up to the source material in like 5-10 episodes and then had to make shit up. In my opinion still a great anime, but it can't be loyal to it's source as that source wasn't finished at the time of release. Its probably not something many would vote for cause FMA brotherhood is the more popular one and also follows the source material to the end. It's also what I would vote for but as I said both shows are great. The only small problem with FMA brotherhood is that it immediately jumps into the action and doesn't properly explain till later cause the anime was made mainly for people that watched the previous one or read the manga but when I first watched brotherhood I didn't really have a big problem understanding what's going on but some people did so I thought I'd point it out.

You should add the other openings too! (Fullmetal Alchemist BROTHERHOOD) it's like the newer version with a slightly different storyline

You should really check out Mushoku tensei(Jobless reincarnation i a posting this everywhere evry part u make... as an anime not as for opening as they are kinda part of anime thats one to that ...also endings are great too but anime itself is just piece of masterpiece with the plot story telling and character development ! :)

Fullmetal alchemist is good for the most part but brotherhood tells the same story but in a much better way.

It does not even remotely tell the same story. TLDR, FMA began adaptation before the source material was finished so midway through they made up their own stuff with the blessing of the author and ended it how they wanted. Overall good in its own right and did some stuff better than the sequel reboot. FMAB is the one everyone loves to talk about and hype and is really good but stumbles early due to some decisions they made owing to the existence of the original adaptation. Overall this version is 100% accurate to the source material and has a really good fully complete story. Most of this was directed to G.O.T c:
