Dragon ball started as a comedy manga but became a martial art manga and it became more and more extravagant and big in scale that in the arc were that opening played in, it was a martial art tournament between like 6 UNIVERSE. Not galaxy, not planet, universe.

Goku (the guy in orange) is not a teeneger, he is about 50 years old in this opening, he even has a granddaughter. But im not going to tell you why he has sometimes black, gold or blue hair cus i think its a kinda spoiler ;)

Yeah, they're all sequels. The order is basically as follows: Dragon ball Dragon ball Z (or Kai which is the remastered version) Dragon ball Z battle of the gods (movie) Dragon ball Super Then there's a bunch of movies and I have no idea where do they fit in the timeline, but as far as I know, only battle of gods and the new Browly one are cannon. All in all, it is just a light hearted, action packed series

Dragonball started in the late 80s. there are a few older animes you should check out. Trigun, Outlaw Star and maybe Yu Yu Hakusho. Gundam 00 openings and ending are good too. Its newer than the others.

all right i might as well bite the bullet and give all the info, considering that its kind of a bit of a mess. basically as a result of dragon ball being so old the western distributers didn't know what to do about the openings for anime yet, so a lot of them made new special openings. some of them are just English translations of the original Japanese and some are completely original. since I got some time I might as well just compile them all

I think you could enjoy D.Grey-Man openings they all have a vibe, kinda similar to the Bleach ones

you need to understand that dragon ball is the king of anime that transcends those who like anime or not. It's as simple as it's the best series out there.
