For your first three or so anime, I highly recommend picking shows that (1) have already completed and (2) have less than 100 episodes. Many popular shows run for several seasons, but the majority of anime end at 12, 23, or 50 episodes.

BTW in most anime if they show you a specific character backstory it usually means that character is: a) about to die b) getting a power up c) giving us answer through the backstory

If you think Attack on Titan has filler you're gonna hate other anime. In AoT "filler" always serves a purpose. Real filler in anime is completely inconsequential, to the point where you're better off skipping filler episodes than watching them.

Don't think you have yet but I can't recommend highly enough that you react to Flyers, the Opening to Death Parade. And the ending song for the same show if you're up for it. Flyers is VERY highly regarded!

Attack on Titan doesn't have filler. Every single thing that happens in this show has a meaning and all comes full circle. Never discredit anything you see or hear in the show

dont really think you understand the term filler. cuz AOT doesnt really have any. every episode serves a purpose and advances the story. filler episodes can be random things and most of the time dont add anything to the main plot. alot of anime has filler especially older ones. and its a good thing you are new to the anime world because we can just tell you which episodes are filler and you can skip them.

Because it releases in seasons. If an anime is running all the time, like say One Piece, filler gets added to bridge the time until new manga content to adapt comes out.

I beg to differ. Almost everything that is going to happen in the show was hinted at almost from the beginning. Also two things: 1) Stop thinking that the show has filler. It's literally just the story with all the fat taken out. 2) Good and Evil are not clear cut.

You should react to Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay Night, Tokyo Ghoul, or PsychoPass. I think you would really enjoy those shows. All of them are pretty dark at times. If you want something happy/goofy you could try Spy x Family or One Punch Man. If you want top tier fights you should check Jujutsu Kaisen or Demon Slayer.

There is no such thing as filler in Attack on Titan, with maybe the exception of the OVA's.

:D I love AOT because watching again you can find small clues. Enjoy it and watch again in future, you will find interesting thing just in conversations or behaviors. And great reaction about Ymir, it is a blow mind what happen now. It is great that you watch one chapter per reaction, you can summarize and wait for next, takes more time, but you enjoy it more.

I don't think people are properly explaining what filler is. Filler is LITERALLY just anime episodes that aren't in the manga. So FILLERS are sometimes actually important. Some manga authors rush making content and forget to add something or really wants to add info that wasn't in the manga....and so they add it to the anime. Then the manga elites and impatient people call them fillers because it's not in the manga. Yes some are just fun short irrelevant episodes, but others add to the story or character. When it comes to fillers, please watch them. I've seen reactors regret not watching them because the impatient people told them to skip the fillers and they end up missing important info or really interesting stuff.

You need to take a breath someone told you already many epidoses ago on here. Not sure if you've figured it out where you are in season 3... The "what we know" bull shit are to take the space of where the comertial breaks are... so it's not the editors fault.. Blame comertial breaks.

AoT really doesn't have filler. Filler is usually one of two things. 1) Completely inconsequation padding because the anime caught up to source material so we have an episode or two showing the main character learning to drive for absolutely no reason whilst we wait for the manga to give us more material. 2) Compilation episodes nearly entirely constructed of a bunch of scenes already screened, either for the same reason as above, or because the studio was running behind schedule so just needed to lob out episodes but didn't have enough time to make an entirely new one, so they piece together stuff already on file to let them get ahead again. AoT doesn't have filler. It has character building episodes/parts of episodes which are important to make us care and understand the characters, or give new pieces of information. Any time they are replaying old scenes (which I don't think happens too much from what i remember) theres a very good reason. They contain things that will now make you go... WAIT WTF HOW DID I NOT NOTICE THAT.
