Fairy tail is one of the big shows with at least over 600 episodes (idk the exact number). Lots of people hate on fairy tail because of the plot armor and how characters don’t die but it is still a very popular show and one of my favorites.

There are many anime with only one season but openings that are great. Examples would be Ya Boy Kongming, Ancient Magus bride opening 1, So I’m a Spider So What opening 2, The Worlds Finest Assassin opening, Moonlit Fantasy, Violet Evergarden (very popular), To the Abandoned Sacred Beast opening (just watching MafuMafu’s sacrifice original video is better in my opinion) Konosuba openings are a favorite as well

I think fate stay night unlimited bladeworks ops are too good too miss. Dr Stone got some goodies. Ranking of Kings (especially op 2) as well. There's a lot of good ones out there and hard to hit them all but they are generally worth it.

I can recommend the Symphogear songs as well (for the beginning the 5 OPs and 5 EDs, but there are so many character songs in the show as well, since music plays a big role in the anime). One of the characters is voiced by Aoi Yuuki (same who sang the Tanya the evil ED) and has quite a few songs in it as well :D

I already said in comments to first Fairy Tail reaction but still - OST much better than it's OP. As for other I really recomend you to try OP and END from Air Gear, 1-st OP from Soul Eater, 2-nd and 3-d OP from D. Grey-Man and OP from Black Lagoon they are increadibly good , and not get like avarage anime OP type. I think you could enjoy =)

You should check out a bunch of one-off openings, my favourite is "Ya Boy Kongming"

Of the openings you've seen so far, I'd say Tokyo Ghoul and Code Geass are more up there in the R rating and you would probably really enjoy both of them! Deadman Wonderland too, though ofc that one is unfinished. And for something new, I suggest checking out Ajin. It's dark and the animation style is really different and interesting. Also, the first opening song is one of my favorites. You'll definitely like it! And lastly, the Servamp opening is great and really gives off BMTH Sempiternal vibes, which you will probably love.

If i was gonna list some heavy Anime you have checked the openings for, i would say Overlord, Tokyo Ghoul, Deadman Wonderland, Fate Zero, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood and HunterXHunter(Though the last two kinda jump into and out of the R rating). For anime you would enjoy of those you have checked i might have to go Overlord, Code Geass, Fate Zero, Mob Psycho 100 and Full Metal Alchemist... Though i have like 5 others i want to mention off the top of my head, those 5 i think you would enjoy and they kinda open up different styles of anime. If i was to put them in a suggested watch order, i would say: 1. Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, it is a stable in the anime community for good reason and manages to equal Attack on Titan in suspense, though it mostly doesnt use cliffhangers as dickishly. 2. Mob Psycho 100, it is smaller and it is more like One Punch Man in the way that it is dark. It is just a solid and off kilter anime that seems fitting to put in here. 3. Code Geass fits here, it is a classic and manages to continually screw with your mind throughout. 4. Overlord is the kinda fun romp you want after Code Geass and it manages to be both incredibly fun and one of the darkest anime. 5. Fate Zero is without a doubt the darkest thing i have put on this list and it is an insanely interesting experience... Which basically requires you to check out Unlimited Bladeworks afterwards. I will just say that i wasnt ranking the anime, but suggesting a watchorder that i think would ease a person into this medium from AOT and with your love for darker anime.

I highly recommend watching Fairy Tail, it has 3 seasons, 328 episodes and I watched it 7 times and it never gets old. It is a very emotional roller coaster As for other animes to watch Black clover Jujutsu kaisen Tower of god Demon slayer Edens zero Cyberpunk edgerunners

If you want a "Power of Friendship" show, fairy tail is probably the ultimate example. It is occasionally dark, but mostly a feel good romp in a magical world.

Fairytail is very much a fan-service show. But it's very enjoyable with it's fan-service. It's out of pure fun most times and there's lots and lots of action to balance it. Definitely a favorite for me.

Sword Art Online has some realistic fights, I love the fights in Bleach, just for the sword special abilities. Some great fight scenes in Samurai Champloo & Cowboy Bebop too! Naruto Shippuden has some great fights, but its a really long watch So many great anime's and so many great fight scenes!... Oooh and Psycho Pass is one for the "John Wick" style!

A good anime to come immediately after AoT would be Death Note! It has the same anticipation factor with each episode along with a really intelligent storyline which you seem to enjoy! Another good anime would be Tokyo Ghoul, these are both anime that would be realistic to react to episode by episode because they both dont have an excessive amount of episodes & seem to fir the dark settings you are enjoying so far! :)

What I will say about FairyTail is that it's not an anime that you watch for power growth in the characters (although they do grow in strength sometimes), FairyTail is all about friendship, how you can have a family without blood ties, and discovering who you truly are.

1. Fairy tail is absolutely one of my favorite animes. I honestly recommend watching it! Can't wait for the next 13 openings either. The ending songs are just as good too! It isn't about a school though, its about a magical guild; which is a place for members of the guild to hangout and get job requests from the public. Although a lot of them are around school age haha. 2. One anime that's dark and gory that I think is good is Future Diary, the first opening of that anime definitely stands out. 3. Another great anime is Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, that one can get dark too but it has its funny moments as well. 4. Soul Eater is a good anime as well, that one is literally about killing demons and taking their souls. 5. Inuyasha is another good one that I grew up on, its about a girl in Japan that gets pulled into a well at her family's shrine by a centipede demon and ends up 500 years in the past in feudal Japan that is full of demons of all kinds, they also came out with a sequel series, so there is plenty of content and movies. There are so many good animes to choose from! I would so be down for whole season patreon only videos!
